Act 1: All Roads lead to Victory
The scene opens on the beautiful city of Athens Greece. The sun was shinning bright in the sky, with a bright blue sky hanging over the city, with the white puffy clouds silently drifted by. Tourists flocked the streets in search of what remained of the old city of Athens, while the residents went about their daily routines. The Acropolis, and the Parthenon loomed over the city, while one thing seemed to be out of place in the Greek city. A massive pyramid stood alone in the downtown area of the city. This was the Kane Fashion building, where the Fashion Queen Cleopatra aka Alexsandra Kane could be found on most days. People come and go from the golden building dressed in suits and fashionable clothes. The camera makes it way inside, revealing the black marble floors that shimmered in the bright sun that came in through the windows. A young dark haired woman sits at a large desk that sits just beside the revolving doors directing people where to go. Hieroglyphics line the walls, telling the tales of the first mummy Osiris and how he became the ruler of the Underworld with the Goddess Isis by his side. Stacy soon enters the building with a cup of coffee in hand, with a pile of files in her arms. She heads for the golden door elevator, and presses the button, watching the roman numerals above the doors glow as they descended. The sound of a "ding" is soon heard as the golden doors open, and she steps inside leaning against the back of the car, pressing the button at the top of the others. The doors soon close and the car begins to move up through the many floors within the building. The doors finally open into a long hallway that was lined with gold and black basalt statues of the Egyptian Gods and Goddesses. Stacy's high-heeled shoes click on the white marble floor as she makes her way toward a set of golden double doors that sat at the end of the hallway. Stacy knocks gently on the door, before opening one of them and looks into the dimly lit office.
Stacy: Ma'am?
Cleo: Yes Stacy?
Stacy: I have your coffee ma'am, and the figures from the last show.
Cleo motions for her to come forward, as she sat down her sketchbook. The office itself was massive in size, with the walls lined with ancient hieroglyphics, with a few bookcases lining the walls. The white marble floors shimmered in the dim light of the office that streamed through the glass ceiling of the building. There behind the large dark oak desk sat Cleopatra, dressed in one of her own creations.
Cleo: How did we do in Milan Stacy?
Stacy: Actually we did better then you thought ma'am. Everything was a hit, and companies are begging for your lines for the spring.
Cleo: Excellent. Did you get it?
Stacy stands in the middle of the office, with a cup in hand, and lowers her head. Cleo gets to her feet, setting a little black cat on the corner of the desk, and walks towards Stacy.
Stacy: No ma'am... They were all out. But I did get you something else. The chocolate peppermint...
Cleo sighs and looks at Stacy, shaking her head. It was always so hard to find smore's cappuccino, no matter where she was. She takes the cup from Stacy and smiles slightly feeling the warmth run down her throat. She walks back to her desk, and sits down setting the cup in front of her, while the little black cat stretched in the sun light.
Cleo: You did good Stacy. Now has there been any word from my opponent at all?
Stacy: Nothing ma'am. It's like she disappeared, and no one has heard from her at all...
Cleo: I'm not going to underestimate this woman Joanie just because she has remained silent. I don't know what she can do in the ring yet, and I don't want to take any chances of losing my first match.
Stacy just nods knowing her mistress wouldn't leave anything to chance in any match that she had ever been in. Stacy heads for the door, to go back to her own desk outside, as Cleo looks up from her sketches once more.
Cleo: Stacy did I say you were dismissed?
Stacy: No ma'am.
Stacy turns and faces her, with her head lowered, as if waiting to be released. Cleo looks up again, and sighs.
Cleo: What are you waiting for Stacy?
Stacy: To be dismissed ma'am.
Cleo: Then you are dismissed.
i]Stacy bows to her and walks out of the office, closing the heavy door behind her, leaving the Golden Queen alone once more. Cleo sits in silence sketching the next design for part of her line, and smiles slightly as she looks up into the camera.[/i]
Cleo: So still no word from you Joanie. Shame really, I wanted to know what you thought of me, and how you were going to totally destroy me in our match on Friday night. Of course I know someone like you could never stand against someone like me anyway. I've taken on many people and they all fell at my feet, just like you will on Friday night Joanie.
Cleo just smirks leaning back in her chair, taking a sip from the paper cup that sat in front of her. Bast, the little black cat leaped down onto her lap, only to curl up and falling asleep, while still purring loudly. Cleo sighs and sets her sketchbook down on the desk revealing a rather disturbing picture, of Joanie on an altar, with Cleo standing over her with Joanie's heart in her hands.
Cleo: Do you like it Joanie? I do. It makes a bold statement don't you think? I mean I know it's a bit harsh, but it would be well worth it. However everyone would ask where did Joanie Lee go? Then they would start looking, and well... That's just something that I don't need. Come Friday night you'll wish you never stepped foot in the NCW, and I'll show you why. I'm not afraid of anyone including a little piece of Hollywood trash such as yourself. So you can bring everything that you have to our match and see if you can truly stand against the Golden Queen. How long will it take before I have you screaming on the mat, begging for mercy, begging me to let go, to end it all? When I look down at you, with those pleading eyes, I will just laugh, and tell you it's not your time, and make you go through hell and back, in that ring on Friday night.
Cleo just smiles at the camera as she picks the cat up in her arms, and gets up from where she sits, walking to the large window that over looked the city of Athens. She had once seen the city as it was in ancient times, and it truly was beautiful. Now the modern city reigned while the old fell into disrepair, even though it was protected. The weather and time were the true culprits that were destroying the beauty of Athens, not the heathens that ran amok now.
Cleo: As I look out at the city I remember when it was new and still beautiful, but now the modern city has taken over, while the other falls into the past, where everyone forgets about it. That's what is going to happen to you Joanie. When I'm finished with you everyone will ask what ever happened to Joanie Lee? Bring your A game to the ring on Friday night, and we'll see who the true woman is. I'm not going to back down, but I think you should. Don't bother showing up, because this match has already been won. I am Egypt, the Golden Goddess, and Queen of the Nile bow to me! See you soon Joanie.
Cleo just stares out the window, but as we catch the reflection there is something odd about it. It's faded, but we can still see what appears to be a horrid visage of a woman that is wrapped in bandages that are torn, with hands that seem almost bony in appearance with the skin stretched over them. The bandages on the face have come loose revealing a face that is missing the eyes revealing black gaping holes, and the nose has sunk down a little bit, while the skin around the mouth seems to have been stretched back slightly. The visage looks up at the camera and smiles a hideous smile as the scene fades to black, leaving us to wonder if what we seen was real or not.
