Chad Lights is standing in front of an overly sized NCW logo somewhere backstage, with the camera looking straight at him. Chad is standing off centre, smiling at the camera. He has a microphone in his hand, which he duly raises up to his mouth.
" Hello NCW viewers. I'm Chad Lights, and... "
Before Chad can end his sentence, Sebastian Slone walks into camera view and stops to the side of Chad. Chad turns to face Slone, who looks less than impressed to see Chad standing in his way. Slone looks Chad up and down, then snatches the microphone off him and speaks into it in a degrading manner.
" Who the Hell are you? "
Slone positions the microphone in front of Chad's mouth. As Chad is about to tell Slone who he is, Slone moves the camera away from Chad's mouth. Chad is left looking foolish, as Slone repositions the microphone in front of his own so he can insult Chad.
" Don't answer that, because Slone doesn't care... Look at you, dressed in that five dollar suit, and with your one dollar hair cut. Slone was just on his way to the locker rooms, when he nearly knocked your scrawny little frame over without even realising. You'd make a great door, but not a very good window. So go on then, tell me what you're doing standing there, getting in Slone's way when all Slone wants to do is hit the shower after his fantastic NCW debut. I'm guessing you're some kind of pervert, who likes to check out the male wrestlers sweaty bodies after they've been in the ring. Prove me right then... "
Slone hands Chad the microphone back. Chad lifts the microphone to his mouth and parts his lips to explain who he is and what he's doing backstage.
" No, I'm not a pervert. I'm NCW's lead interviewer, Chad Lights. I was actually waiting for you, so I could ask you some questions. I'm kind of at a loss for words though, since you decided to insult me in so many ways. "
Slone fakes a yawn, pretending to be bored by what Chad has said about himself. Slone grabs Chad by his microphone wielding hand, and forces Chad's hand in front of his mouth.
" Whatever, Shad. If you have any questions for Slone, ask away and Slone will give you the best interview you've ever had. "
Slone releases Chads hand. Chad lets out a sigh, then composes himself so he can ask the first of a few probing questions.
" A little while ago you were in the ring, celebrating your first victory in NCW. How do you think your debut went, and what do you think of Trent Brown's debut against you? "
Slone rolls his eyes, looking disappointed with Chad's first question. He answers it anyway, just because he enjoys talking about himself.
" Slone's first match... It was a waste of Slone's precious time! Slone spent about five minutes in the ring, when he could have spent it doing something constructive like sorting out his hair or admiring his own good looks in front of a mirror. Instead though, Slone had to go down to the ring for his debut match against the pathetic Trent Brown. Trent hid from Slone all week, not showing his face for a single second to say something about Slone. It seems Trent didn't really turn up for the match against Slone either, because Slone dominated from the start of the match until the moment the bell rang and the referee raised Slone's hand in victory. Yeah, Slone took a few punches to the face during the match, but that's about all Trent had to offer. The best boxers in the World take a few punches now and then, but that doesn't mean the person boxer punching them is anywhere near as good as them. The same goes for Trent Brown, who isn't in the same league as Slone. Slone proved that earlier tonight, when he made short work of Trent, and had time for a little show boating aimed at Trent's lovely girlfriend... Speaking of Trent's girlfriend, she's more of a challenge in bed than what Trent is in the ring. Don't ask Slone how he knows that though. Ask her instead! "
As Slone stops speaking, Chad takes this opportunity to talk.
" You definitely showed Trent Brown that you mean business. Do you not have any good words for him, just so he doesn't feel too downhearted about losing his debut match? "
Slone looks disgusted that Chad even suggested he could say something nice about Trent.
" Are you mad, or just completely ignorant? Slone bets on the latter being more true. Slone will tell you exactly what he has to say about Trent. He's about as good in a wrestling ring as you are at interviewing. Shad, that's not very good! Like Slone said before he even stepped foot in the ring against Trent, He's one of many wrestlers who are holding this company back from greatness. Slone dispises these people, and like he did with Trent, Slone will destroy these so called wrestlers one by one. Trent is the first of many to fall at the hands of Sebastian Slone. I don't know who my next opponent is, but they face the same fate that Trent faced. "
Chad knows exactly who Slone is facing next, and wastes no time letting him know.
" I can tell you now that your next opponent is Jason Evans, and you'll be against him on Suspense next week. Oh, and my names Chad, not Shad. "
Slone lets out a deep sigh, disappointed that he's on Suspense again.
" Shad, Slone can tell YOU now that he's not happy about once again being shoved onto Suspense, the show for the no-hopers. Did Slone not do enough earlier tonight to prove he's too good for this show? Slone beat Trent Brown, and Slone beat him with great ease. For the NCW staff to put me on this piece of crap show again is plain ridiculous. Slone is the future of this company, of this business even! Slone is not the kind of wrestler to put on the show with the lowest amount of viewers. He's a ratings puller, and should be put on a show that everybody gives a damn about. "
Chad doesn't look convinced by Slone's supposed ability to pull in the viewers. He doesn't comment about it though, at the risk of further angering an already pissed off Slone.
" We know exactly what you think of Suspense, but you haven't mentioned you opponent yet. Jason beat Mr. Happy by submission a few moments ago. What do you think of Jason Evans? "
Slone shrugs his shoulders, seemingly not having a high opinion of Evans.
" Slone facing Jason Evans will be like Slone facing Trent Brown all over again. So Jason Evans beat Mr. Tappy by submission. So what?!? Slone has beaten plenty of wrestlers by submission in his short period as a pro wrestler. Before that, Slone beat more people than you can count while hoe was an amateur wrestler. Yep, Slone beat at least three... "
Chad is insulted by Slone's comment about him not being able to count. He makes sure to mention this before he asks his follow-up question.
" I'll have you know I can count pretty high... So you feel Jason Evans will be another easy opponent for you? "
Slone's eyes widen as he stares at Chad, unable to believe he just asked such a stupid question.
" Are you insane?? Of course Slone thinks Evans will be another easy opponent for him! Evans beat Mr. Tappy because Tappy is a worthless excuse for a wrestler. Slone will give Evans the benefit of the doubt and say he's a better wrestler than Tappy, but that's not really much of a compliment. Evans should be against Trent Brown this week, in a fight to the death. That match would be perfect for both of them, because they're both wastes of a life. Slone should be against someone who's on par with his ability, if anyone fitting that description actually exists in NCW. Instead though, Slone is in another match that'll account for nothing when he wins it. Oh yes Shad, Slone will win this match. Slone will win it, and it'll be absolute domination, just like Slone's debut was. Slone will show the staff once against that he is deserving of more than a match on Suspense, and after Slone destroys Jason Evans in style, the staff will realise that Slone is the future of NCW! Shad, I'm done here. You've wasted enough of my time with this pathetic excuse for an interview. "
Slone pushes the microphone away from his mouth and walks by Chad, making sure to barge him a little as he goes. Chad is forced to take a few steps back, nearly knocking the big NCW logo off the wall behind him. Slone steps out of camera view, as Chad watches him walk away while snarling at him.
" IT'S CHAD! "
" Whatever Shad...
Slone shouts this from down the corridor. Chad reacts by throwing his microphone to the ground and stomping off in the opposite direction to Slone. The camera is left looking at the NCW logo, and fades to black as it stays focused on said logo.
" Hello NCW viewers. I'm Chad Lights, and... "
Before Chad can end his sentence, Sebastian Slone walks into camera view and stops to the side of Chad. Chad turns to face Slone, who looks less than impressed to see Chad standing in his way.
