Act 1: Recovery
The scene opens on the beautiful Isle of the Gods. The stars were shinning brightly in the heavens, while the moon cast down it's beams onto the earth below. The waves roll against the shore, as an owl hoots somewhere in the wilds of the island. A gentle breeze blows through the trees, as the glow from firefly’s come and go along the pathways of the island. The glow from torches along one path catch the camera, and it is soon going down the lush pathway, towards the unknown. At the end of the pathway, there is a cave wide open, lined with torches as if it was a secret hideaway from the rest of the world. The sound of bubbling water can be heard as the camera moves through the cave in the dim light. We soon see a vast cavern with a natural spring in the middle of the cavern surrounded by torches on the walls. A painting of the Roman Goddess Venus was done on one wall of the cavern, with a statue of the Goddess on opposite side of the pool. The sound of voices could be heard, as shadows move along the walls towards the natural spring pool. Cleo walks into the shot, wearing a long dark green robe, with Stacy following behind. It had been almost a full day since she had lost her match, and headed back to the Isle of the Gods to recover from her injuries and to regain her strength. Cleo takes a deep breath, and closes her eyes stretching slightly, and flinches as she does. Stacy rushes to her side, but Cleo smiles slightly, brushing her away.
Stacy: Are you alright ma'am?
Cleo: I'm fine Stacy. I just need a nice long soak in the spring and I'll be back to my old self again.
Stacy: I'm glad to hear that ma'am. Danielson did a number on you, and I know you must be in pa...
Cleo: Stacy, Danielson got lucky, and I can handle pain more so than certain people. Now help me disrobe please.
Stacy nods, as Cleo turns from the camera. Stacy removes the long robe from her mistress's shoulders, letting it fall to the stone floor, revealing the olive colored skin of the Golden Goddess. Cleo slips into the pool, and ducks under the water, only to come up with her long hair over her face. She pushes it back and leans against the edge taking in the warm water around her.
Cleo: Any word on who my opponent is this week for Crossroads yet Stacy?
Stacy: Yes ma'am. Mr. Fox called while you were getting ready to come down here. You are in a four way against Emma Danielson, Roxie Johnson, and Juiletta Lee ma'am.
Cleo looks up at her and smiles evilly. She would have her revenge on Danielson for what she had done taking the win over her and Juiletta.
Cleo: Good. I want another chance at Danielson anyway.
Stacy: This time you know what to expect ma'am. She's a bit butch if you ask me ma'am.
Cleo: I don't care what side of the fence she's on Stacy, I'm going to walk away the winner this week, and get just one step closer to the Women's Title.
Stacy: Indeed ma'am. What about the other two ma'am? Juiletta Lee didn't seem to be a valued ally last time.
Cleo: I'm not worried about Juiletta. She's crazy, and yet she did make a good distraction at times for me in the ring. I've never faced Roxi Johnson before, so I don't know what to expect out of her. She's the wild card in this little match of ours.
Stacy: Is there anything you would wish of me ma'am?
Cleo: Yes there is. First I want you to find out every last bit of information about this Roxi Johnson, and then I want you to send an invite to Ayla St. James.
Stacy: To the Isle ma'am?
Cleo: Yes to the Isle. I want to pay her the same hospitality that she showed me Stacy.
Stacy: Yes ma'am. I'll do it at once.
Stacy bows to her, before turning and heading back up the long tunnel out of the cavern, heading for the manor. Cleo ducks under the water once again, and comes back up with her eyes glowing slightly, only to have them go back to their normal color, as she pushes back a few pieces of stray hair from her face.
Cleo: Once again we will stand in the same ring Emma. This time it will be different, because now I know that you have weaknesses and openings with every move you make. You made a foot out of me last time, but never again. You see I know where I made my mistake, and that was trusting Juiletta to watch my back against you. You're worse then she is when it comes to being harsh, and underhanded to get a win. The Jaggerbomb that you put me to the mat with, will be repaid in full. This time it will be you that will be on the mat, after a full Mummification. You'll look up at me, begging me to end the pain and suffering, but I will not. Your suffering has only begun Emma, and it won't end until I say so. Do you still think you have a chance against me Emma? Do you still feel confident in your abilities?
Cleo grins, as she looks at the camera and turns around with her back now facing the camera. The painting of the Goddess Venus catches her eye, and she smiles to herself. The Goddess was truly beautiful, a reminder of simpler days gone by.
Cleo: The Goddess Venus, the Goddess of Love, or Sexual Desire, and the protector of the greatest man Rome had ever known, Julius Caesar. He was a God among men, and yet they killed him. It seems Juiletta you and I have the same problem... Men. Your husband is in a asylum, and every man that I have ever loved has died one way or another. You see we could have been great friends, with us having a few things in common besides the whole men thing. You love to inflict pain, and cause misery while you're in the ring, and it doesn't matter where I am, I can cause pain and suffering to those around me if I so chose to. You're a mother, with two sweet little ones, while I have been a mother several times over, but the main thing that would have made us friends is the fact that we both want to win this Sunday night, and see our opponents fall at our feet. But no, you had to go and mess everything up on Sunday night didn't you?
Cleo smirks as she turns back to face the camera, with her eyes filled with an evil intent rising within. She knew what she had to do and it wasn't going to be easy, but she would manage as she always did.
Cleo: Juiletta, you could have helped me against Emma, but you didn't, and you will pay for that mistake. I'm someone that holds grudges and I will stop at nothing to get my hands on you and make sure that I'm the one that walks away from the ring with a win this time. If I remember correctly it was Emma that put you down on the mat as well, and finished the match off pinning me. This week there is no watching out for each other, or playing nice. I will destroy you, and I will stop at nothing to do so.
Cleo turns back around and climbs out of the pool, and grabs a towel that Stacy had left for her. The beads of crystal water bead off of her body, as she wraps the towel around herself, grabbing the dark green robes off of a stone bench. She slips into the robes, and wraps the towel around her long hair, before starting up the path out of the cavern, and into the crystal clear night. Her bare feet fall silently on the grassy pathway that headed up to the house, as her eyes adjust to the dimness of the lit pathway.
Cleo: As for you Roxi, I don't know what to think of you just yet. You are the wild card in this whole match, and I wonder why they even put you in it. But what does that matter to someone like me? You'll fall just like Juiletta and Emma anyway, no matter what you do to try and stop me. You can't be that tough considering Zelda took you out without any hassle. But I won't underestimate you and what you can do. I've made that mistake once but I've learned from that mistake, and I'll be watching you carefully.
She continues to walk along the pathway, and hears rustling in the bushes to her left. A large black panther walks out in front of her with a fresh kill in its mouth, and looks at her. The creature lets the kill fall from its mouth, as if giving Cleo a gift. Cleo just smiles, bending down and places her hand on the dead rabbit, and looks at the panther as it stalks off back into the bushes and into the night. Cleo gets to her feet, and smiles looking down at the rabbit.
Cleo: It's a sign from the Gods Roxi. Is this the fate that you will suffer at my hands or will it be the other way around? I don't think the Gods would let one of their own lose do you? Sunday night I will be the one to walk away, while you, Juiletta, and Emma are laid out on the mat, wondering where you all went wrong when you faced me. I am the best at what I do, and you three are plain white trash. I am the Queen of Kings, the Golden Goddess, I am Egypt, and Queen of the Nile! See you soon.
Cleo just laughs, and it seems to echo over the island. The birds that are out fly off into the sky from where they were sitting, as the wild dogs howl into the night, as the scene fades to black.
