Act 1: Sweet Britannia
The scene opens on the beautiful country side of England, just outside of Hampshire England. A light snow was falling onto the already white dusted earth. The sound of small chickadee's and finches filled the air, while dark clouds heavy with snow floated above. The lush evergreen trees glistened with snow, while a vast pond was covered with a thick layer of ice. A few wild geese wander around the country setting, while a lone deer wanders out from the vast forest, to graze at what grass was free of the powder covering of snow. The smell of chimney smoke drifted on the air, from the vast estate that appeared through a light fog that had settled on the ground. This was the English Estate, of Emma's parents. A black limo is soon heard coming up the long tree covered driveway toward the towering home. The car soon stops in front of the manor, and out steps Emma, looking up at the place that she had once called home. Europa and Dibbler step out of the car, and head toward the stone staircase. The air was crisp, and felt colder then when she had left. The front door soon opens, and there stands an older looking couple, with broad smiles on their faces. Emma runs up the stairs, and hugs them both, as Dibbler and Europa reach the top.
Emma: Mummy, daddy, how I've missed you. How are you?
Edmund: We're fine love. We are so glad that you came to see us.
Lydia: We've missed you so much. Come in out of the cold. Dibbler, Europa it's wonderful to see you as well. Don't worry about the luggage, the driver will bring it in.
Dibbler: It's good to see you again too Lydia. I think this little visit will do her some good really.
Europa: Hopefully it will. She is up for the Women's Title this week.
Edmund: Don't worry, she'll be ready. I'll help her train myself.
Emma: Thank you daddy. It'll be an honor to train with you again.
They all head inside, as the heavy wooden door closes behind them. The scene reopens on the inside of a rather old fashioned manor home. The walls shimmered in the dim light of the crystal chandelier that hung in the foyer. The dark hard wood floors seem to sparkle as they move into a large sitting room, where a roaring fireplace was burning. Above the stone fireplace there sits a family portrait of the entire English family. Emma stares up at the picture and sighs. The portrait had been done in happier times, when Emma and her brother were still young. Her father walks up behind her, and places a hand on her shoulder.
Edmund: I still remember the day we posed for that. You and your brother were still getting along then.
Emma: I know. I'm not surprised that he isn't here waiting for me.
Lydia: No, but he'll be here for dinner. We're having a little get together before you have to leave for the States once again.
Emma just sighs, and looks at her parents, before heading out of the room heading for the double staircase. Her mother follows behind and puts her hand over Emma's as she starts up the stairs.
Emma: What time will he be here?
Lydia: About 7. I hope the two of you can be civil long enough for us to have a nice evening. I know he did you wrong sweety, but you are a big success now, and after Sunday night you'll be a champion. Why don't you go on and get ready for dinner? Don't worry about Dibbler and Europa, you're father and I will keep them entertained.
Emma: I'll be civil, as long as he is. I'm here to train with daddy, and relax a little bit before this match against Zelda. I didn't really want to see Broderick while I was here.
Lydia: I know, but it'll be nice to have the family together for at least one night. Now go on. You have a little bit before everyone arrives.
Emma just nods and makes her way up the stairs. At the top of the staircase was a large portrait of the Queen Mother in a golden frame. Emma smiles and continues on heading to her room at the end of the hall. She opens the deep mahogany door and the room is done in a light oak paneling, with a deep crimson carpet. The shelves are lined with books and trophies from a variety of activities from years that have passed. The large four poster bed sat in the middle of the room filled with soft pillows, and a few stuffed animals from her childhood.
A stuffed Paddington Bear sits in the middle of the pillows and Emma smiles picking him up. She had the bear since she was a little girl and cherished it ever since. She sets the bear back down and walks to the window that over looked the estates grounds.
Emma: This is it Zelda. Sunday night you will either keep that title of yours or I'll become the new Women's Champion. You see I'm not going to take this match lightly, because I want that title more than you know. This will be my first title, and I know you're not going to give it up that easy.
Emma looks back at the camera and smiles slightly. Her dark eyes seem to sparkle in the light of the room, filling with mischief.
Emma: I know what I did two weeks ago to you wasn't that nice, but I don't care. You were a threat to me, and you still are until I get that Title away from you. You think you're so good because you reached the top first, and got your hands on that little piece of gold. But let me tell you something Zelda, your time as the Women's Champion is coming to end, and I will stop at nothing to put you down on that mat, and wait for the 1...2...3. I'm not going to underestimate you, or say that I know what's going to happen, because no one truly knows the out come do they? All I can do is keep you off of your feet, and on that mat, where I know you and I are going to be matched for skill. I've watched you in the ring Zelda, and I have to say that I'm really not that impressed with you, but then again, you are a newer generation in the ring, while I'm a second generation trained by some of the best wrestlers this world has ever seen.
Emma turns and walks over to the suitcase that lies on the bed, and opens it. She begins to put things away, as a knock comes to her door. She sets down the piece of clothing that she had in her hands, and answers the door. There stood her father with a gentle smile.
Emma: Daddy? Is something there you needed?
Edmund: Not at all lovey. I just wanted to talk.
Emma: About Broderick, or my match against Zelda this week?
Edmund: Your match. Zelda isn't going to give that title up that easy dearest. You need to be ready to face her, and everything that she is going to bring to that match.
Emma: I know, that's why first thing tomorrow morning I want to start training. You taught me everything that I know, and yet there must be something else that you can teach me.
Edmund: I'm afraid there isn't anything else that I can teach you my dear. I taught you everything that I know. But I know Roddy taught you something, and I would like to see it. Besides I know that you can probably show me a thing or two.
Emma just smiles and nods. Standing in the ring against her father would be fun, and she would show him what she had learned so far, and how she had improved since she had first started out.
Emma: I probably will daddy. I just want to make sure that I'll win my match against Zelda this week that's all. The more training I get in, the better.
Edmund: I know you'll win your match. You've been doing so well since you began. I mean you've only lost one match since you started in the NCW. This will be your big chance, and the greatest victory that you'll get. Hell I didn't even get my first shot at a title until I was in my first fed 6 months, and even then I didn't win it.
Emma: What did you do after you lost?
Edmund: Got drunk and passed out. Woke up the next morning with a hangover and a tattoo. I don't recommend the tattoo. But you don't have to worry about that lovely. I know you'll win your match, and move on bigger and better things. I'll let you get ready for dinner, and we'll see you in a little bit.
Emma: Alright. I'll be there in a little while. I forgot how nice it is to be home.
Edmund smiles and kisses Emma on the forehead before walking out of the room, leaving Emma alone once more. She looks at the camera and walks back to the bed, picking up the Paddinton Bear and sits down on the edge.
Emma: Come Sunday, Zelda you will know why I've made it this far, with only one loss. I'm one of the best, because I learned from the best, and I will never back down from my opponents. I'm not afraid to spill a little bit of blood, to get hurt, to win a match. I will always stand my ground against those that stand in my way, or oppose what I believe in. I will do everything and anything to win this match, and I'm not going to give up no matter what you put me through. You can try to pin me, but I will always get that shoulder up, or put me into a submission, but I will never tap. So bring everything that you have to this match, because I know I'm going to, and nothing that you do, will deter me from my Title. The Queen is Dead, long live the Dutchess. Ta.
Emma just smiles a bit, blowing a kiss to the camera, as she waves at the camera with the Paddington Bear that she held in her arms, as the scene fades to black.
