I know people have types. Every person is different at the same time though, so within those types you have sub types. It can go on for a long time being subtype of a subtype and so on and so forth. In this match on Sunday there are three types of people. We have our similarities but we also have our vast differences. I’d like to think the good qualities are the one’s we share, such as decency, honesty, respect, and pride. But sadly, I know that is just wishful thinking.
Three types. The silent. The comedic. The green.
Make sense to you? Can you put the correct superstar to the correct type? I personally think it’s pretty easy, but then I might be just being bigheaded.
The Silent Type: Ricky Johnson. This dude has been here since nCw opened it’s doors. He’s had sporadic runs here and there and always that one last step to greatness seems to slip out of his grasp. I don’t know what it is that stops you from stepping up to the next level Ricky, but if you do know I’d like you to tell me so I can try to avoid being stuck. You see, it doesn’t make sense, because Ricky you have exactly what it takes to be a star in this business. You’ve got the drive, the ability, the passion, the skill, the emotion….hell, there isn’t a thing you don’t have.
So I’m confused. Why have you never broken into the main event scene?
Is it because of your flippant disregard for your opponents? For your work colleagues? For the fans? Or is it your personality? How you actually act as a person. Honestly, I believe that is what it comes down too. You see, you’ve got the personality of a douche. I’m not saying this to insult you, or upset you, or anything like that. However you just come across as the kind of guy that thinks about one thing, and one thing only.
Himself.
I’m not naïve though Ricky. I know you have a lot to offer to this match, I know there is a hell of a lot somebody like me could learn from a veteran like yourself. The only thing is, will you come to the ring Sunday? Will you bring what you’ve got and lay it all out in the ring? Will you bring every ounce of you to try and best us and capture the honor championship? Because that’s what I ask, it’s what I beg for, it’s what I plead.
It’s what you will need, to beat me.
Just ask Nelly.
The second type: the comedic. Nelly’s promos always inspire an aura of the fantastic, of the weird and wonderful things this world can throw our way. That is one of the main things about Nelly that makes him so interesting, it makes him so endearing to us all, because the situations he tends to find himself in remind us of embarrassing times we have found ourselves in. Nelly is to me almost like a brother, that is what The Forgotten feels like to me, like a family.
I have my older brothers Falcon and Spike, and my twin or slightly older brother Nelly Angel. I say older because Nelly has been doing this longer than me, and whilst he is treated like a rookie almost as much as I am, I hold Mr Angel with some regard. You see Nelly stood on the sidelines for a good while, he interviewed some of the best to come through this business and like any normal person would he picked up on some things, not to mention he was once managed by Joey Hawke.
According to Spike, that means a lot. I’ve had to go back and watch some tapes to find out who the guy was, and it seems to me that he’s the kind of wily veteran a young rookie needs to train him, to help manage him. So Nelly is there to entertain, it’s what he does best and it’s what he wants to do. The key word there was “wants” Nelly wants people to find him amusing, to laugh at the escapades he finds himself a part of, and you know what?
It works. I heart Nelly Angel.
However, don’t think that I’m going to allow Nelly to waltz in and take away the championship that I have worked so hard to create and to raise the prestige of. Not a chance in hell. I may think of you as my best friend Nelly, but come Sunday you’ll be the enemy, and if you know anything about my trainer, you’ll know that being the enemy is not a good thing.
Which, in turn brings us to type three: the green. The rookie, the new guy. I’ve never lied about my knowledge of this business, of my in-ring talent, or anything of the sorts. I’ve admitted from day one that this is my first foray into the world of “sports entertainment” and I’ve admitted from day one that I’m here to learn as much as I am to entertain. So I guess that would put me into a subtype of honesty? I’m not stupid enough to think that just because I was trained by one of the greats it makes me one of the greats, not at all. I understand how this business works, I understand that if I want to be great, want to be remembered, become a legend, or just a name worth mentioning.
I have to earn it.
From day one that is what I have set out to do. Anybody who has challenged me and my morals I have fought, I have never backed down from a fight unless it specifically spoke against what I stand for. I have earned the right to be called New Championship Wrestling’s Champion of Honor, and I will continue to earn that right by defeating the challengers that come my way.
Ricky Johnson.
Nelly Angel.
The nCw Honor Championship is on the line, no matter what type of person you are, no matter what type of wrestler you are. If you want to take my title? All you have to do is pry it from my dead, cold fingers!
