Charlie was early for the show. He always was but today was even more so than normal. He laid down on one of the benches in the locker room and sighed. A smile crossed his lips and he began to tap his toe. No one else was there for a few hours. He didn't move.

Freakke sat on the bench. It was only a few hours to show time and he was starting to get in character. His face was painted. He was in costume. All that was left was to throw on his coat and hat and wait for his Que. He looked down at his padded gloves and sighed. He seemed content in a way.
"My dear cretins. This is my last chance before the match to say anything...an I'm at a loss for words."
He smiled and looked down. His eyes came up level and he looked back up.
"This is one of my favorite times of my job. There's something in the air around this time. Some people call it jitters, nerves, adrenaline. Maybe it is. Sometimes it gets to someone. It becomes something they fear. 'What if I lose?' 'What if something goes wrong?' 'What if I win?'"
He kept his smile and looked around. A few of the other guys were just now filing in. Most of the staff was beginning to run the final checks before they opened the gates to the public. Everything seemed to be going good.
"I like this point in the show a lot. From now to the point I walk out onto that stage. It's kinda like Christmas. Pay-Per-Views are even better. It feels a little bit more important. I get to think about what could happen in the match around this time. I get to relax and stretch and get myself worked up for the match."
He leaned forward on his arms and sighed.
"So many things can go wrong tonight. I could go out first. I could be eliminated before I get to enjoy the match. Worse, somebody could get hurt. For all I might dislike some peoples views and opinions *cough*Brad Kane*cough*. I really don't want to see anyone get hurt. That's never a good thing."
He sat up again and looked around. Bad Luck Chuck had just come in and started to check his lucky charms. Jimmy Turner had stopped one of the newer guys and started to tell them how he was the best wrestler there...and gave them some lame excuse why he wasn't wrestling today. The locker room started to fill up more and more and Freakke began to stand out less and less in the growing commotion.
"Still, I can't help but wonder sometimes. What if I do win? I know I can. Winning isn't a hard thing to do...if that's all you want. I want more than the win. I want to stand tall for the fans and give them back everything they've given me. Every show is another chance to do that. Tonight, I can do that with even more pride than normal. Outlasting seven other great wrestlers is an impressive feat. I'd rather like to be the one standing proud tonight. I have to work for it though. All of them are tough though. I have to be my best."
Freakke stood up and stretched his arms out. He held himself tall and his smile disappeared. He picked up his coat, but not the hat.
"Seven guys I have to outlast. Simple survival right? Should be fun."
He smirked and looked back down. He seemed to perk up and he started to bounce up and down to start getting energetic.
"I hope you guys are ready. I am, and I won't relent."
