The scene opens in an empty gym. Well, almost empty, because on the right hand corner of your screen, you see Charlie Velez (yeah, that Charlie Velez), hanging upside down on a bar, doing some crunches. You know, like 50 Cent did in “In Da Club”. Anyway, you hear the frantic counting of Charlie (who is somewhere at five hundred), before finally getting down from the position. He sits right down next to the machine, grabbing his bottle of water. He’s breathing heavily, obviously because of the vigorous workout he’s been going through as the camera sits right in front of him and he’s ready to speak.
“Silence. That’s all I hear from my five opponents, silence. Have I scared them, or are they occupied with other things that they can’t even take a few moments of time to address me and our match this Friday at Suspense. Silence, that’s the only thing that’s motivating me; their silence gives me time to think, to contemplate and anticipate what I am going to say. Silence, that’s all I get in my first match at nCw.”
Charlie grabs the machine and pulls himself up before pouring some water on his head. He shakes his head, water splattering everywhere (which questions the purpose of pouring it on your head) and begins to walk towards the locker room. Charlie, unlike many other people, though has the ability to speak and walk.
“So what do I do with the silence? What can I possibly say that hasn’t been said before? I can tell you all about how I’ve wrestled around the world and beaten many opponents, but third interview in and I’m saying the same stuff? Not a great idea. I’ve seen some of your guys stuff; Jack Wilde corrupting his mind sitting in front of a TV playing video games for hours to unlock ‘achievements’. While you’re blistering your fingers and your eyeballs dry up from staring at the TV for too long, you should be preparing for a match with me, because the only achievement you could possibly achieve is being able to walk after a match with me.”
Charlie gets to his locker (which is where I guess he was walking to) and starts unpacking his locker.
“If you’re lucky enough you can walk out of this thing with both legs. Mister Colm, you haven’t even showed your face on TV so you should be happy that I’m dropping your name in a promo. Daniel Miles you can get the same treatment as Colm. You call yourself a “Gem”, but the gem in this match is the man who’s built an empire with his name alone-me. You both should be glad that I dropped your names or else when you came out to the ring this Friday night people would have changed the channel, not knowing that you both would be competing against me.”
Charlie takes off a shirt and puts on a new one. If he wasn’t surrounded by cameras he would have probably taken a shower, but I don’t think you can put that on TV…or…can you? Anyway, he puts on a pair of clean clothes before slamming his locker door and beginning to head out.
“Xavier Williams and Doctor Dream, you two would seem to be the ‘veterans’ in this match. Your experience here in nCw is little to no importance to me. You can talk about your history here in the company and all the things you’ve accomplished and I can do the same, but then that’ll just be hours long of incoherent rambling about things that doesn’t matter anymore, right? What we should talk about is here and now, and right now I am in the greatest physical shape of my life, about to enter the ‘prime’ of my career. I’m new here in nCw, while you guys are the ‘seasoned vets’, and the only thing separating the three of us is that I’m still hungry and ready to make an impact. An impact so large, that it’s going to shake the foundation of the nCw. The only thing that’s trying to stop me from starting my crusade to the top of this company are five unlucky guys; five guys who have no idea what they’re about to get into.”
Charlie walks out of the gym to see a sea of people waiting for him. Cameras lights flash taking picture of Velez as he walks out of the gym. He turns, facing the camera, an image of him surrounded by the people.
“Gentlemen, this Friday the five of you won’t be entering a ring. You’ll be stepping into an operating table…and unfortunately for you, I’m the surgeon.”
Charlie turns around and heads towards his limo, with security guards holding back his screaming fans. The camera fades…to…black.
