The scene opens up with Charlie Velez flexing his wrapped up right hand; the blood is noticeable after it was cut up by punching the television screen going after Mike Machado. Charlie sits there thinking to himself, shaking his head in disgust.
“I’ve done a lot of stupid things in my life. I’m not afraid to admit that some of those things have lead to me being hurt or hurting someone else…but what happened between Mike Machado and I…well that’s something that I can’t take blame for. You see, I don’t take disrespect too well. When somebody walks into my room I expect to be treated with respect. Mike Machado I don’t know who raised you, you look like you could have been brought up by wolves, but where I come from people like me, people with power get treated with respect. They get treated like the royalty they are, and Mike Machado people like you…well people like you get pushed to the side. You’re here to do a job, whether it be fix my television or clean my shoes, I expect you to do your job with a smile on your face, showing respect to the person you’re working for. Machado, you’re lucky that I don’t go to your company and get you fired for your misconduct…but you know what Machado, I’ll deal with you on my own time. You see this fist?”
Charlie holds up his wrapped up hand.
“It’ll heal quickly enough for me to deal with you, and when I do…you’re going to wish you treated me with some respect.”
Charlie puts his fist down and shakes his head, looking around the room, collecting his thoughts.
“But before I had this encounter with Machado I had a match, and just like I told everybody who watches nCw television I pulled out victorious. My hand was raised, and Jack Wilde, the video game playing nerd who probably in his house jerking off to Final Fantasy 13 right now, fell victim to me and now has some Closure in his life. It was a simple formula, the fools come into the ring to face me, thinking they have a slight chance of beating me…and they leave disappointed. The same will happen this Friday, as I face off against three other superstars.”
“One is a familiar face. Doc, you and I…we go a while back. I’m actually glad to see you back in this ring, but I fear that when you get into the ring this Friday you’ll regret everything and go back to hiding. Doc, we’ve had our matches, we’ve been enemies and we’ve been allies. I have respect for you work, but this is a new place, this is my time to make an impact. I fear that your cockiness, something that I know you take deep pride in, will fog your vision. You’re going to attempt things that you can’t possibly do, like defeat me in any match. I don’t just have a leg up, I have a whole body up on you Doc, and I wish you well…but I warn you if you step in my way I’m not going to be afraid to take you down a notch and teach you a lesson.”
Charlie rubs his chin looking away from the camera, collecting his thoughts. He looks at his watch, not satisfied with something.
“Business meeting in a few minutes, it could wait.”
He looks back at the camera.
“That’s how the things in my life go gentlemen. The other two competitors…Jason Evans and Severe Payne, I doubt you know anything about being successful in anything you do. Hell Evans, you just lost a match to that bum Machado, what does that show me? You’ve picked up a few victories, yes, but to Machado? A guy who can barely put my cable in correctly, a man who doesn’t know the difference between an elbow drop and a knee drop, and he pins you? Clean? Evans, if that has happened to you, do you think that you have any chance against me, a man who has wrestled all around the world and has one worn more gold than Fort Knox Bullion can hold? Jason Evans, you’re just a young man who doesn’t know enough, and this Friday I will teach you a lesson.”
“Severe Payne…great name, did you name it after your twisted childhood? Are you a victim of the environment around you, or is your old, molding brain not able to come up with something better? Payne, I fear for your life, just not because of the opponent you will be facing this Friday, but I fear that your body can’t keep up with three young men like you will be facing. Your body has probably gone through a lot, and your old back could barely lift me up over your head. Your knees, they’ll probably shatter when you try to climb up to the top rope and deliver your patented back suplex. Payne, I fair that the pain you feel when you wake up in the morning won’t take you far, which is why you should quit while you’re ahead. Listen, we’re both Chicago boys, we’ve probably wrestled in the same places, I can help you. I can find a retirement home for you and you can just kick back and watch Cubs games on TV. I fear that if I wrestle you that you wouldn’t be able to stand without a walker.”
Charlie laughs to himself, shaking his head.
“What do I care...I might need you in this match for some entertainment, because everybody else here won’t provide the competition I need. Whether it’s you, Evans, or Doc…or that bastard Mike Machado, you will all find out what I’m made of. Find out that Charlie Velez isn’t just the best…”
Charlie stands up, spreading his arms out.
“…He’s money. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a business meeting to get to.”
Charlie grins at the camera and begins to walk off and the camera…fades to black.
