Don't even think about reachin' me
I won't be home
Don't even think about stoppin' by
Don't think of me at all
I did, what I had to do
If there was a reason, it was you...
I won't be home
Don't even think about stoppin' by
Don't think of me at all
I did, what I had to do
If there was a reason, it was you...
The scene opens up inside of Joe Everyman's home, once again. The house is nearly pitch black. The camera slowly moves around Joe's living room. The beer from earlier in the night is still sitting alone on the coffee table, still sweating. The camera starts moving across the living room and up the stairs. It slowly passes in front of Aurora's door and comes to Joe and Maria's bedroom door. Footsteps can be heard behind it. After a few moments, the door slowly opens and Joe walks out in a sleep induced stupor. He slowly makes his way down to the bathroom, yawning the whole way. He opens the bathroom door and quickly flips on the very bright lights. He covers his eyes at the brightness. Joe then shakes his head from side to side before standing infront of the toilet.
Joe Everyman: Aaaah...
Joe begins letting loose on the toilet, and having surprisingly good aim for a half asleep man. After a few moments, Joe finishes up and flushes. He then walks over to the sink and washes his hands. After he dries them off, he looks into the mirror for a few seconds.
Joe Everyman: So it's finally upon us, eh? Tomorrow night, a huge match will open up Sovereign, with a great prize on the line. An nCw Xtreme Championship opportunity hangs in the balance. I am one of now five men in this match. AJ's gall bladder seems to have rendered him unable to compete. I was really looking forward to facing him again. But alas, I will have to wait for another time for that.
With AJ out, that gets me one step closer to claiming that prize. But look at who I have to go through. Freakke and Payne aren't going to amount to anything in this match. They may as well just stay in the locker room and hope to high hell that nobody notices them. But I guess I have gone a little hard on them this week. Maybe Freakke and Payne finally deserve a little spot in my talk? Fine fine...I'll give the fans what they want. You see, I may have said that Freakke hasn't shown me anything worth noticing. That is a lie. He's shown me alot actually. He's shown me that he is one f*cked up individual. I mean...who honestly in the history of professional wrestling has used a pie as an offensive weapon? I mean...he is a clown, but still, that's just weird. I pray for not only me, but for the other wrestlers, the fans, everyone, that he doesn't use pies in this match. Because if he does, they will get sprayed with more cream than fans at a Lady Gaga concert.
This being said, I still don't have much to say to Severe Payne besides the fact that your name sounds like a B-listed Arnold Schwarzenegger movies. Perhaps you could try to pick up Danny DeVito as your side kick. It may help your name out a little bit. Besides that...what do you have going for you? The higher ups must see something in you. Or maybe they just picked your name out of a hat. Either way, you're in this match now. And I honestly think you don't have what it takes to even get remotely close to winning. You haven't done anything here to catch the attention of anyone. So good luck. Of anyone in this match, you're going to need it the most. But at least you'll be able to go home and tell all of your friends and family that you got your ass beat around Sovereign by three legends of this sport. Maybe they will cheer for you, because nobody else will. The underdog in a match like this will do just that; stay under. Under our ladders, under our boots and under our skill.
It may sound like I'm blowing sunshine up the asses of Venom and Doc, but trust me, I'm not. Saying they are legends is just the respectable thing to do, because that's what they are to me; legends. I grew up in this business learning from people like Venom and Doc. And that being said...it makes me want to destroy them even more. They had a chance to be the good guys. They had a chance of getting on my good side. But of course, they chose the easy way and decided to be disrespectful and heartless. The Venom and Doc I used to know would take a challenge head on and say they were proud of the people they were fighting. Instead, they took the road of everyone I've ever faced and decided to belittle me. They tried to make jokes just like the rest of them. And if they want to do that, that's fine. Because you see, I used to have alot of friends in this business. And they all turned on me just like these two did. So why should they even attempt to be different?
Lance Ryan used to be my mentor, he used to be my friend, and yet, he tried to dethrone me. A wrestler who was twice the man and five times the wrestler Doc and Venom will ever be tried to defeat me twice...and failed miserably. Another man who used to be my friend, Spike Kane, faded into obscurity as well. He too, is a legend. And the final match him and I had...I defeated him. Everyone says you're only as good as your last match. So clearly, Spike is not as good as me. That's two legends who have fallen. But there is still more. Milo Holland is still, to this day, zero and one against me. Three nCw Hall of Famers don't have sh*t to show against me. And they will go on with the rest of their lives just wondering if everything could have been different if they could have just defeated me. Just once. But instead, they failed. They couldn't defeat me, when their very careers depended on it.
Doc, Venom...what chance against me do you really believe you have? I have dethroned kings. I have ended eras. I have destroyed icons. Great men, who are ten times as good as you will ever fathom to be. What chances do you really believe you have? You haven't fully seen what I have done here in nCw. I have done great things. Things even the greats envy every single day. I have defeated legends. I have won championships. I have gone toe to toe with the best. I have headlined sold out arenas full of fans. What have you two done here yet? Nothing! Who cares about your storied pasts? The only thing that matters to me anymore is what you've done here. Here and now. You both may have been World champions. You both may have been tag team champions. But now, none of that matters. In nCw, I am the only three time National Champion to ever grace the ring. And I am the only man in this match to have ever held the very thing we're fighting for, the nCw Xtreme Championship. I know what it's like to be in the spotlight here. There is a good damn reason why they put me in this match.
It's to put the careers of you two out of their misery now. You may have been World champs, but that was in the company that Leonard Fox despises. I have since admitted my sins of that company. I have rid myself of all of it. Only the haunting memories of hatred and distrust remain. But with time, they will be gone as well. But you two...you still hold them as a war banner. You may not speak it, but in your hearts, you still proud yourselves as being as good as you once were. And in the No Limits ladder match this Sunday, there will be no past. Only the present, and only the future. I will show all of you why I am a main eventer. I will show you the three time National Champion that deep down in your hearts, frightens you to the core. I will show you why I will once again capture the Xtreme title and continue bringing it the prestige it deserves. Doc, Venom, Freakke and Payne...prepare yourselves in whatever ways you see fit. You won't know what hit you at Sovereign. The footsteps will echo in your mind forever.
Joe smiles into the mirror as the scene slowly fades to black.
I did, what I had to do
And if there was a reason
Oh, there wasn't no reason, no
And if, there's something you'd like to do
Just let me continue, to blame you
Footsteps in the hall, it was you, you
Pictures on my chest, it was you, you
And if there was a reason
Oh, there wasn't no reason, no
And if, there's something you'd like to do
Just let me continue, to blame you
Footsteps in the hall, it was you, you
Pictures on my chest, it was you, you
