Dr. Dream sat waiting for the camera crew at his locker. He sat with his head low and his eyes closed. He had already geared up for the show despite it still being hours away. He opened his eyes and closed the locker gently. He turned around and rolled his head back and sighed. The camera crew showed up shortly after. A moment later, they started rolling and he looked up.
"Venom, you have an impressive record that would make many people quake at your name. Recently you've shown your prowess in the ring. Last week was especially impressive. Most people would hate to step in the ring against you. Me personally, if you want me to let you in on a little secret...I don't give a *boop*."
Dr. Dream stood up and the camera followed him as he began his walk through the hallways. The staff and crews were beginning to set up equipment and monitors for the show. A few other wrestlers had also showed up and were starting to excersize and get ready for the show. A few were sitting around and talking.
"I'm not afraid of what you've done. I'm not your past Venom, I'm you're future. You're immediate future. You haven't been here long but you've picked up some steam. A win and a loss but both impressive displays. I know about the win. I was there. I saw the win from the side of the ring. One match is all that we've ever done together."
He shook his head and slowed down a moment. He picked his pace back up and looked at the camera with an irritated look on his face.
"Yet you claim that was enough to know how I will act in the ring. One match was enough to learn everything about me for you. Not even a match, just a few seconds that we were both in the ring. You won that match, but I was only in it for a few seconds with you. I wasn't the one you pinned either. You think you know me. In fact, you probably want to believe that I'm just the big lumbering idiot you make me out to be. You want to believe that I rely purely on strength and size to get the job done. You want to believe that I'll be another easy win for you to chalk up, another bug crushed under your 'Almighty' boot heels. I might be wrong though..."
He stopped and eyed the camera up a moment. His face had a small smile and determination in it. He paused a moment and let it sink in.
"You might actually believe it. You might actually think I am just gonna lie down and let you go for the pin. Let me tell you something though. I am big, I am strong, and I use both traits very well in the ring, but I'm smart too. I know how to apply both in just the right way. I know when to attack and when to fall back and think things through. I know my opponent's weaknesses before I even step in the ring. Venom, I know yours. You're proud, arrogant, and tend to underestimate your opponents. You think because you fight one person, that someone similar will have the same weaknesses. You're entirely too bold. These traits make you tend to be a bit brash, making mistakes more fragrantly than the next man. You rely on this push to be one step ahead of your opponent. That's just your personality."
He started walking again and he smiled. The symbols painted on his face making him seem more like an old Germanic character than a Doctor. His wolf painted surgery mask was hanging around his neck, but even it didn't break the Fairy Tale villain image.
"That bump on your head is probably still a little tender. Now, if I were a decent human being, I'd leave it well alone, and make the match as fair as possible. Then again, who ever said I was decent?"
He reached a door and pushed it open, stopping to look back at the camera.
"Who said I was humane?"
He walked through and the door closed behind him.
