( The scene opens up on a side walk, Rayne is walking down the street in North Charleston, her hands are stuffed in the pockets of her jeans as she picks her head up and looks into the camera. )
Rayne: I've come to understand that most people don't associate the best in the business with the Everyman family, in fact, it seems most of the people I talk to look at the Everyman's as just a stepping stone to something greater. As if everyone who walks in the door at some point or another has to face one of them before they can move on to something bigger, something better. I've also been told that the unfortunate few who can't beat them, get left behind. Apparently it's happened to more than one legend around here. The reason I'm bringing this up is because I don't want to wrestle a stepping stone, I don't want to face someone who is only going to give me a half hearted effort. I didn't join nCw to get easy wins over care less opponents. I want the best god dammit, I deserve it after all the years I spent on the independent scene. Do you hear me Maria? I want your absolute best tonight.
( She rounds a corner and continues walking. The sun glares behind her, shining down on her exposed shoulders and her yellow tank top, her black hair glistens in the sun. )
Rayne: I've been here less than two weeks and I've already heard my fair share of Joe Everyman jokes. Everyone in this company from the world champion to the janitor thinks your husbands a joke. They all laugh at his expense and not even behind his back, they do it right to his face because their not afraid of him. How does that make you feel Maria? How does it feel knowing that not a single person in this company respects your husband for the years of hard work he's put into this business? How does it feel knowing that they don't respect you either simply by association? I can't imagine it feels good. I'd imagine it makes you pretty pissed off to here the constant insults slung your way. This is what I want you to do, use it Maria, use every last bit of that anger, get pissed, get more pissed than you've ever been, then come down to that ring tonight and beat the living snot out of me.
( Rayne stops now and looks directly at the camera. )
Rayne: You want people to respect you? You want them to care about you? You want the fans to cheer and the jokes to stop and to have everyone stand up and treat you like more than a stinking door mat? Kick my ass Maria. Thats all it's going to take. Come out to that ring and treat me like I'm the one making jokes, like I'm the one laughing at you, treat me like you want to treat all of them. Because your going to need that anger to beat me. Your going to need every last bit of emotion you can muster to put me down. This is my dream come true, this is something I've been working on longer than you've been considered an adult. I was wrestling when you were having your first kiss with that cute boy behind the bleachers in sixth grade. So trust me when I say I'm not going to let the laughing stock of the company, the nCw door mat bring this train to a stop at the first bump in the track. You think you've got some advantage, facing the new girl in town, but when you step into that ring your going to learn very quickly that the only advantage you have is that no one ever takes you seriously to begin with.
( She turns again and walks past the camera, we follow her. )
Rayne: Shock me, surprise me, show the word what Maria Williams is all about out there when she takes on the new broad in town. Like I said, I came here for the challenge, I came here to compete against the best the world has to offer, I came to see if I'm as good as the Internet says I am, as good as my fans say I am, as good as I think I am. I respect you kid, I respect that your obviously good enough to be in nCw, and I'm not laughing at the jokes, I'm not going along with the crowd. I just want to face the best Maria Williams has to offer and if you can't give me your best then do us both a favor and go home. Don't waste both of our times, it's only going to get you hurt.
( As she continues walking we can see the arena in the distance. The scene fades to black. )
