*We open up on the black mast of Lord Dominicus. Its black eyes stare blankly into the camera, piercing the soul of everyone viewing. We hear his voice as the mask remains entirely motionless.*
LD: You know Dominicus; I think you’ve forgotten something. I think everyone has forgotten something. Sure, we’re both running under the same name. Sure, we’re both running around committing evil. Sure, we’re both wearing silly masks and performing some stupid, foolish, bottom-of-the-barrel gimmick. But even with all this together, there’s still something that divides us.
*A hand moves the camera to point up at the one and only Nelly Angel.*
Nelly: I can take the mask off. See, Dominicus, you can cool up the gimmick, bad-ass up the mask as much as you want. The fact remains that I’ve still put you under this prison of a gimmick. I’m doing it for fun.
*Nelly holds up the mask and looks into it.*
Nelly: Oh Lord Dominicus, I’ve come to you know you well. Your ins, your outs. But we both know that you are not I and I am not you. Why? Because oh dark lord, people like me too much.
*He turns the mask and his own face towards the camera.*
Nelly: See, that’s what it always comes down to, isn’t it Dominicus? It doesn’t matter what I do, people like me. I come in and I tell half the roster that they’re doing it wrong, and people like me. I even break my own style and pull out brass knuckles on Ace- and people like me. I come back after a leave of contract based on going somewhere else: and people like me. Don’t you see how this works? You aren’t likable, people cheer me, and they boo you, all the time. Think about three months or so back. We got into it pretty bad, so we had a match, in that match I worked my tail off to set your career back a year, put you back at square one, and I did. And even though it could be considered intolerable cruelty….people like me.
*Nelly sighs as he puts the mask down; by this time we’re paying more attention and realize he’s sitting in a black room, in a black chair, with a low black table in front of him. He looks at the camera again.*
Nelly: Dominicus, you are evil. I admit it. You fit your masked identity well. Evil to the core: that’s you. But….
*He looks down and chuckles to himself before looking back up.*
Nelly: But nobody seems to realize except for me that I’m the bad guy. Look at the facts Dominicus, what did you do to me? Get into a scuffle with me? Call me names? Threaten me repeatedly? Pfft, that’s nothing. I came back and totaled derailed your career, I killed your comet. Dominicus, I stopped you in your tracks, you were a very fast rising star, and when I came I stopped you up like a freight train. And just a few months ago, I put the brakes on hard by putting you back under the mask that you hated so much. And my god, it felt great. Every day that I saw you prance around looking like an idiot; it was the greatest feeling ever. And yet, people like me.
*Nelly reaches down, picks up the mask again, and holds it up for the camera.*
Nelly: But it wasn’t enough for me. I needed more; I needed to be there, to watch you all the time. So I put on the mask too. I turned evil- and guess what- people liked me. Even when I’m flagrantly the bad guy, people like me. Don’t you understand Dominicus? It doesn’t matter what you do to me. It doesn’t matter if you lock me under the mask of Lord Dominicus for the rest of the year- heck, the rest of my career- people will like me. You can bend me, break me, try to make me a laughing stock; people will like me. It doesn’t matter what happens to me, I have nothing to lose, I’m just having fun, and people like me for that. Even when I’m doing bad things, as long as I’m having fun, it doesn’t seem to matter. But you Dominicus, no matter what you do, people will hate you, I guess that makes you sort of InFamous.
*He rolls his head a little, thinking about it.*
Nelly: Now if I have nothing to lose, then why even try? Because that’s my style. I want to do my best in every match, you already know this line, I’ve used it plenty of times, and you’ve called me unoriginal and several other names because of it. It’s the truth though, even as Lord Dominicus, I’ve done my best. I’ve brought us to the Tag-Team titles, which obviously I don’t care about, but it was fun forcing you to be successful with the Dominicus name and while working with me. I even made the Dominicus Republic, a fun stable, why? Because I wanted to be the best Lord Dominicus I could. Now this Sunday I’ll be fighting to keep my real face.
*Nelly turns his head to the side.*
Nelly: No….no that’s not what I’m fighting for.
*He smiles widely.*
Nelly: I’m fighting to stick it to you again. To keep this joke running. To watch you continue to flounder while doing something you hate. And guess what? People are gonna cheer for me. They want it too. You may be evil, but I’m the bad guy here. You’re justified in this battle, one last bang to end it with us. But me, I wanna sting you one more time. You’re probably not even the worst person in this company, but you know what Dominicus, I don’t care. I came in, I made my intentions clear from the start, I believe in fair-play and honesty. You don’t follow by my rules, we don’t match together. We’re rivals, we’re opposites, and like I said, you’re not the worst guy here. But you’re the prime guy to make an example of. And that’s what I’ve set out to do; I’m here to make an example out of you. You’re evil, but I’m the bad guy here, even I realize that. You don’t deserve to have your career made into a mockery, but I’m doing it anyway, and this Sunday, I’m gonna try my darndest to keep you trapped in your masked prison for the rest of the year, why? Because it makes me feel good.
*Suddenly there’s a noise behind Nelly, like a door opening or something, he dives down under the table, bringing the mask with him. Conejo Esponjoso walks into the dark room looking around, soon Lord Dominicus pops back up.*
Conejo: Oh, hey there boss, are you ready?
LD: Of course Cracker Essay, I was delivered from the dark bowels of hell ready. I just need to finish up this promo real quick.
*Lord Dominicus turns to the camera.*
LD: Dominicus, you crossed the republic, your own kind. You want to see evil, I can give you evil. I shall show you, Dominicus, just who the bad guy is in this match. IT’S ME! Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have some evil deeds to partake in.
Conejo: Are we going to go scare old people at the community center with our surprising knowledge of songs from their generation again?
LD: Ah yes, that’s a great idea. How deliciously evil.
Conejo: They don’t really seem all that scared though. Some of them usually go to sleep.
LD: Oh, they’re paralyzed by fear. Let us go get our voices warmed up, I’m feeling especially evil today.
*The two walk out of the room as the camera moves down to look at the camera, on the table sits a Nelly Angel promotional t-shirt (with Nelly flashing a huge smile of course). We fade out.*
