OOC: This is probably well past the deadline, but I had to work late today. Just trying to no no-show again. This buying a house business is more complicated than I thought.
Location: Johnson Mansion.
Time: 7:11pm
{Roxi stands beside Ricky, who's sitting in a chair, facing off in another direction. Roxi looks down at Ricky, who doesn't register anything. He doesn't acknowledge her at all.}
Roxi - I can see you're feeling better.
{Nothing.}
Roxi - Fine. I'll read this.
{Roxi stares down at the piece of paper in her hand. She studies it for a moment, then reads aloud.}
Roxi - As many of you know, Sephiroth won the Xtreme title from me on Collision a few weeks ago. And while the loss of a belt is very upsetting, I suffered a much greater loss. My pride. I felt helpless and powerless as that man tried to maim my wife on national television. And for that, he can never be forgiven. I failed my wife, and I failed myself. I swear that hear and now, that something like that will NEVER happen again. I will see to it that righteous justice is served upon Sephiroth is due time. But let this statement serve as a warning to all of you. If you can defeat me, that's fine. But if you lay one hand on my family, I will not be held responisible for what will happen to the person who attempts to do so. From here on out, there is a new set of rules. I see now that I will have to take matters into my own hands.
{She stares back down at Ricky, who hasn't moved a muscle the entire time.}
Roxi - Happy?
{Nothing.}
Roxi - Fine. I'll get you what you asked for.
{She places the paper on the table, and gently kisses Ricky on the cheek, to, again, no response. She leaves. Ricky continues staring out the window. Finally, after about 10 seconds, he sighs. He turns towards the camera, and actually starts talking.}
Ricky - There was a time when nothing really bothered me. Wrestling is a crazy business. Things happen, and life goes on. I've had my share of victories, and defeats. That's how it works. You win some, you lose some, you entertain people, you get paid, you go home happy. That's the way it works.
{He turns back to the window.}
Ricky - But those days are long gone. In one short 12 minute peroid, I was reduced to nothing. I laid flat on my back helpless to stop someone when they needed me. She, needed me. And I wasn't there. I was a pathetic mess. Not only had a lost a match, and a title, I was utterly humiliated. Never before was Ricky Johnson dominated in such a fashion.
And never again either.
In a way, It has helped clear the air for me. It was almost a blessing is disguise. I figured out that Sephiroth couldn't get accomplished what he really wanted. I think he really wanted Roxi with him, and he failed. But, in comparison is was a small consolation.
{Ricky turns back to the camera.}
Ricky - Make no mistake about it, There is now a new set of rules around here. And I'm going to to start a new this Sunday. I'm going to take out Joe Everyman and...that other guy.
Joe, you and I have seldom crossed paths here in nCw, hell, at one point, we even stood in the same ring together. But it's all becoming very clear to me now. You are not who you say you are. You say you are the "everyman" You are just a regualr shmuck just like everyone else. The facts are Joe, you are not. An everyman doesn't have a six figure contract to work for a prestigeous wrestling company, Joe. that guy sitting on his ass eating chips with one hand and working his junk with the other doesn't have you ability Joe. Let's understand that now. However, you can talk solice in the fact that if you cross me, I can turn you into that very same fat guy. But, then again, you know me well enough Joe, to know that I can back up what I say. That's why I'm going to beat you this Sunday. Because I'm through getting dis-respected. And while you may even claim that you do respect me, it's a moot point. You are just collateral damage. You are part of the appitizer that is my feast on this entire company.
{He again turns back to the window.}
Ricky - As far as Con...you know what, I don't have the patience for people like him right now.
{Roxi returns from the other room.}
Roxi - This...came for you.
{She hands it to Ricky.}
Roxi - Are you sure this is legit? Can you really talk to him?
{He studies the paper}
Ricky - It's legit.
Roxi - When is he coming?
Ricky - He's not. We're going to him.
Roxi - I don't know about this Ricky. He's not the kind of guy who is exactly...sane.
Ricky - He's not.
{She sighs.}
Roxi - When are we to leave?
Ricky - Soon, apparently he's in Ireland.
