Wrestler's name: Mike Machado
Nickname(s): "Mediocre" Mike Machado
Gimmick: Mike is currently employed at Comcast Cable company. He installs cable and internet at customer's houses, and occasionally deals with basic troubleshooting. He hates his job, and wrestles with fantastic hopes and dreams of becoming a world champion; Changing what seems to be a hopelessly average and boring destiny.
He's recently been betrayed by his best friend/ manager / roomate Jason Blair.
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 165 lbs
Hometown: Orlando, FL
Alignment:{Face/heel/neutral} Neutral / Face
Pic Base: Ben Stiller (specifically White Goodman from "Dodgeball"
Appearance/Attire: Machado often dresses in Spandex and/or a wrestling singlet for matches and on days he has matches. Off days he is sometimes caught in his Comcast Cable work uniform, or old faded jeans and a comic book / video game T-Shirt.
Theme Music: "Loser" by Beck
Common Entrance: "Soooooy un perdedor, I'm a loser a baby - so why don't ya kill me" BOOM! Pyrotechnics explode in an extravagant fireworks display, as "Loser" by Beck blares throughout the arena. "Mediocre" Mike Machado stumbles through the smoke that is remaining, fanning his face and gasping for oxygen. The fans give him a mixed but generally positive response; a mixture of pitied cheers and genuinely appreciative roars. A feint chant of "Me-di-ocre" starts up as Machado makes it to the ring. He slides through the bottom ropes and begins to do his pre-match stretches, including cherry pickers and windmills.
Special Entrance:
Soooooooy un perdedor, I'm a loser baby
So why don't ya kill me?
Boom!
A brilliant display of multi-colored pyrotechnics light up the ramp as Beck's "loser" roars throughout the arena, almost drowned out by the screams and cheers coming from the fans.
An energetic Mike Machado sprints through the smoke left by the display, grinning wide from ear to ear. He throws his hands into the air and spins in circles, taking in and loving the atmosphere.
And my time is a piece of wax, fallin on a termite, thats chokin on the splinters. Soooyyy un perdedor, I'm a loser baby, so why don't ya kill me?
As the chorus picks back up Machado seems to remember that he has a match to get to. He stares toward the ring and begins to strut confidently toward it. About 10 feet before he reaches the ring, Machado breaks into a sprint, sliding into the middle of the ring theatrically. He quickly pushes himself off the ground and throws his hands into the air again, spinning around and acknowledging the fans. The music fades out and Machado gets ready for the match ahead.
Primary Style: Flawless execution of the "punching bag" technique. Machado is not a very skilled wrestler at all. He spends most of his time on the defensive, trying not to get killed.
Secondary Style: Hardcore - occasionally Machado will resort to any weapon he can get his hands on to gain any advantage he can. He needs it.
Other Style: Technical - but only when it comes to his finisher (small package). He has spent his entire short wrestling career tirelessly practicing it. It is the perfect small package.
Favorite Moves:
• Irish whip followed up by a clothesline that almost always results in Machado being knocked to the ground embarrassingly.
• Vertical Suplex
• Weak Sleeper Hold that opponents often shrug off.
• Fall down Powerbomb - Mike lifts his opponent into the air to attempt a powerbomb, but falls down instead.
• Mike finds a way to screw up any and all wrestling moves in any and all styles.
c Machado is particularly fond of the inverted STF - but he always gets tangled up and ends up falling down.
• Effectively uses the boot to the junk version of the "low blow"
• "Slip off" DDT - Machado attempts a DDT, but loses grip of his opponents head and falls on his back.
• A Standing dropkick that often results in his opponent standing over him, amused.
• Traditional upper-cut to the junk version of the "low blow"
• Moonsault that is way too slow and is often sidestepped or reversed via his opponent catching Mike.
Trademark Move(s) and Description(s):
"Awesomely Average" Elbow Drop - Elbow drop from the top rope that misses every single time. Sometimes Machado will anticipate his opponent moving, but his opponent will not move, and he will miss anyway.
Finisher(s) and description: "Might of Mediocrity" - small package, inside cradle - whatever you wanna call it. Machado has spent a majority of his time trying to 'perfect' this maneuver. It's all that he really has in his arsenal. He'll often hit it from out of nowhere.
Manager: No.
