S. Evans Cam:
*The scene opens up from the view of a handheld camcorder, with the camera aiming at a magazine… we see a hand flipping the pages very slowly, and inside the magazine are pictures of the women on the NCW roster. First page that we see is one of Zelda Knite, but the camera turns momentarily to finally just see the face of the man holding the camera, in an upward view. Seth Evans. His eyes go back and forth from the camcorder to the magazine, and just has a casual smirk on his face as he begins to speak.*
Seth Evans:
“For a long time… I’ve seen Rob doing this thing that he calls ‘Diamond Cam’. Something that you’ve adapted to use, and I just thought that I would give it try. Well…”
*The camera slowly turned as Seth let the lens see the magazine, again. He’s still on the page of Zelda Knite.*
Seth Evans:
“Do you know what I would do to that? I mean, seriously, not even the legal drinking age… but I would abuse that! All night! I’m sure that there’s a lot of people that agree, but I think that you should all know - I’ve got first dibs. Venom, you little cradle snatcher, you can go ahead and get sloppy seconds.”
*We see his hand come back into view and he turns the page to the next one. It’s a picture of Joanne Canelli.*
Seth Evans:
“My God… She’s getting old. I’m going to have to pass on that.”
*Another turn of the page, and this time it shows the number one contender for the Women’s World Championship. He turns the camera so that we can see the look on his face, just… disgusted… his eyes shifting back and forth to the camera, to the magazine. While his eyes are shifting back and forth, he starts to turn the camera with it so that we can keep seeing the look on his face just become more disgusted by this image.*
Seth Evans:
“Is this… is this some kind of joke?”
*The zoom on the camera goes in on the face of Emma Danielson, and we hear Seth’s voice loud as he shouts.*
Seth Evans:
“THAT! Is a man!”
*Suddenly there’s no image of either Seth Evans or the magazine, as the camera drops to the floor and lands on its side. We see the feet of Seth Evans finally come into view as he is walking towards the door to the locker room, preparing to exit.*
Seth Evans:
“IT’S A MAN!”
*Just as we are starting to think that the scene is going to fade, Seth Evans walks back towards the camera that he left on the floor, and picks it up.*
Seth Evans:
“I’m not done.”
*Switch off.*
_________________________________
*The camera switches back on in a completely different scenario, and Seth has the camera aimed at himself…we see that he’s wearing sunglasses, and a backwards baseball cap.*
Seth Evans:
“I… have been invited to do an interview with some professional wrestling radio station, to talk about the upcoming pay-per-view of NCW, Reborn. The countdown is on. Chris Diamond versus Seth Evans, round two… I’m only spit-balling here, but I’m guessing that’s what they’re going to want to talk to me about. Let’s get this over with.”
*A few seconds later, Seth turns the camera to see two radio show hosts that are sitting inside of a room with the red light above the door that read “ON AIR”, and one of the interviewers waved him in.*
Interviewer #1:
“We’ve got some great news for all of you; our guest of the hour has arrived! Seth Evans, NCW professional wrestler, a man that has been on a bit of a roll since his return last month, and will be stepping into the ring with Chris Diamond this Sunday! If any of y’all have questions for our guest feel free to call us at ***-***-****. We’ll get to your questions later in the show, but for now… WELCOME, SETH EVANS!”
*Both of the interviewers stood from their seat while the camcorder continued into the room. Seth turned the camera towards himself, momentarily, then back at the radio hosts --- they had their hands extended, expecting him to shake their hands, and Seth was about to shake one from the larger man, but then brought his hand back.*
Seth Evans:
“How’s it goin’?”
Interview #1:
“Great! Absolutely great! Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to join us! This is Tra Kerns, and I’m Jacob Kraig. Please, please, take a seat!”
Seth Evans:
“Sure, but do you got someone that might be able to hold this camcorder?”
Jacob Kraig:
“Sure! Sure! Traci!”
*Seth turns the camera to see who has walked into the room, and it’s a teenage girl that had walked in. Looked to be at least seventeen years old. She took the camcorder from Seth…*
Seth Evans:
“It’s already recording… you just aim this end in our direction, make sure you get us in the center. You got it?”
Traci:
“Yeah… It’s not exactly rocket science.”
Seth Evans:
“Sorry. You just don’t look too smart. Hot. But not smart.”
*Jerking the camera away from Seth, Traci quickly walked to a couch at one end of the room and just aimed it towards Seth Evans, and the two interviewers. The camera was slightly wobbly, as she couldn’t keep her hand steady, but it was as steady as she could hold it… seeing as her job depended on keeping the guest, Seth Evans, happy.*
Jacob Kraig:
“First question---”
Seth Evans:
“Wait, wait. I have a question for you… Umm, you said that your name is Jacob Kraig?”
Jacob Kraig:
“That’s correct.”
Seth Evans:
“I just recall some loser that didn’t make it anywhere, no matter where he went, named Craig Jacobs… your name just reminded me of him. He’s like…as bad as Brad Kane. Can’t get to the top of the mountain, and once he does, he’ll just throw himself off. Don’t know what to say about him… Just not cut out to be here, y’know?”
Jacob Kraig:
“Ha! Well, I can assure you that there’s absolutely no relation between Craig Jacobs and Jacob Kraig.”
Seth Evans:
“Good, good.”
Jacob Kraig:
“Let’s get on with this interview. My first question for you is… Why, Seth, why did you come back to NCW? What brought you back?”
Seth Evans:
“There’s a couple different reasons for why I decided to come back into the ring, between personal reasons… just missing being inside of the ring. Titles that I would like to hold. There was one thing that was happening, though, that just really was eating me up inside --- no one knew who I was. Every time that I turned on the TV to watch an NCW program, there was no mentioning of Seth Evans… There was no saying how close I was to taking the X-Division Championship from the most dominant champion in the history of NCW. People forgot me. So, one of the reasons that I came back is to make sure that people don’t forget me! This time around, I won’t leave until I’m ready to retire… and I won’t be ready to retire until I become nothing less of a legend in this business. In this industry. I have my goals, Jacob, and I’m going to do everything that I can to make sure that I walk out accomplishing these goals.”
Tra Kerns:
“Something that I’ve been wondering about, Seth, is what’s up with your sudden change of attitude? I mean, really… you used to be the most respectful rookie that any of us have probably EVER seen, and then you come back --- and nobody has your respect?”
Seth Evans:
“I wouldn’t say that nobody has my respect. I’m not going to drop the names of who I respect, but there are a few people out there; but one of the reasons that I came back with this attitude adjustment is because I learned the hard way - nobody is returning it to me! Nobody gave it to me! I looked at everybody that’s going into that ring… every night… and I’ve decided that none of them deserve to have my respect. People like Joe Everyman. People like Alex Jones. I mean, really, none of these people go out there with the heart, anymore… They do it for the money. Not because they love it. Do you know how often we see Joe Everyman actually get into that ring and give it his all? Rarely ever. Because he’s just that greedy guy that sits in the back, wondering why he’s not getting any title shots anymore… thinking that he deserves them… but he doesn’t have heart, until that big paycheck is up for grabs. I go out into that ring, and I do everything to make sure that I walk out with the win - I’ll break my body in that ring, if that’s what I have to do, to walk out with the win. That’s why I don’t respect these people, or the fans… The fans cheer them. The people fight with no heart. I treat everybody the same way that they treat my profession - my life - like ****.”
Jacob Kraig:
“You say that you’ll break your body to make sure that you walk out with the win, but it happened just over a week ago… Venom walked out with the victory over his Young Guns ally, JFK, and you, and you didn’t seem to make any attempt to get into that ring - so, how exactly can you say that you are putting your body on the line if you wouldn’t even try at that moment?”
Seth Evans:
“I did try. What happened is that Venom tossed me out of the ring, and before I could even get to my feet… he had JFK covered. He had his leg hooked. I looked for a way to break the cover, but there was absolutely no way of breaking it up in time. Simple. If there was something I could have done to prevent that count from occurring, I would’ve done it.”
Jacob Kraig:
“When you were answering why you came back to NCW, you mentioned that you would like to capture a title… one specific championship that you named was the X-Division Championship. What’s the reason for this?”
Seth Evans:
“As all of you know, I came so… very close to taking that championship home with me during my first stay in New Championship Wrestling, but it didn’t happen. This is a title that has alluded me three times, and it’s a championship that I can really say has been a curse to me; because I want it so bad… I’ve yet to win a title in my four years in the business, and I just wanted that to be my first. That championship, honestly, means more to me than the World Championship at this time… and that’s saying something, because you never come into this industry without dreaming of one day walking out as the World Champion. You can ask Angel all about that.”
Tra Kerns:
“At Reborn, we’re going to see Alex Jones defending that championship against three other men… Out of the four competitors, who would you like to have hold it, and ultimately face for it?”
Seth Evans:
“Thinking about the four competitors, I’m hoping that Alex Jones walks out with the belt still around his waist. When I get through with Chris Diamond, I want to go after that championship, and I want to be the one to finally take that belt from him.”
Tra Kerns:
“Why Alex Jones?”
Seth Evans:
“Well, I look back when my NCW career first began back in August 2009, and I remember facing Freakke the Clown… not just once, but also a couple weeks ago. Believe me, I have been paying attention to him since and I do believe that he is improving - but he doesn’t worry me… I’ve beaten him in a one on one match, I’ve beaten him in a handicap match. I think that the story’s going to remain the same; I win.
I take a look at Shawn Styles, and I can’t really say that I’ve been paying too much attention to him… he lost to Destructor!, after all, and then cried when he lost. Demanded that rematch against him, got it, and now we have him stepping into that ring. I’m not impressed by him. Not to mention his rapping is fairly weak, just some… Eminem wannabe. Not the first time that I’ve seen that.
Then there’s Stefan Rzany. Formerly known as Lance Ryan. If I didn’t pick Alex Jones, this would be my next pick; he’s a former, and the first person to do so, two-time World Champion. The first man to be inducted into the NCW Hall of Fame. This guy is a legend. I can’t say anything bad about him… There’s just that part of me that’s saying I want to beat Alex Jones for the title.”
Tra Kerns:
“You answered for why you wouldn’t want to face the other three people, but now… WHY do you want to face Alex Jones?”
Seth Evans:
“Since I began my career, in 2006, there’ve been a few namedrops from people… Talking about dream matches, matches that would just sell out the entire arena, and would be world renown. No matter who won, or who lost. People have told me before that my style of wrestling really seems to mirror that of Alex Jones, so… I’m just wanting to figure out who’s better. Once and for all. A match that I’ve never had. Breaking him, though, that’s how I want my career to really skyrocket to the top.”
Jacob Kraig:
“You want that X-Division Championship, that’s what you’re telling us - but then why did you target Chris Diamond since your return? More importantly, why did you do to him what you did at A Night to Remember?”
Seth Evans:
“Why… Why did I do what I did to the General Manager of NCW. Because of his corruption. Because of his abusive authority. Because he needs to be taught a lesson… When I first signed that contract with NCW, I gave him my time. I gave these people my time. I did everything I could, and earned - let me repeat that - I EARNED! The shot that I got for the X-Division Championship. Not just once, but twice! On both occasions, Chris Diamond screwed me out of winning that championship… he screwed me out of being a champion. That man doesn’t deserve to be in the position that he’s in with that power. What he deserves is a stern ass kicking. I came back and decided, right away, that it would be best to get rid of those that have been a thorn in my side; he has been a thorn in my side… I returned the favor to him, and this Sunday, I can only hope that he’ll take the hint. He doesn’t belong here.”
Jacob Kraig:
“Might be a little obvious through that answer, but I didn’t catch it; what are you looking forward to the most when it comes to stepping into the ring with the General Manager?”
Seth Evans:
“Besides the obvious… a chance to beat his ass, I would say that I’m looking forward to a fight. I’m not going to be ignorant about what I did to him at A Night to Remember; I jumped him. He didn’t have a chance. I want to see what he’s capable of doing when he’s looking at me in the eyes, and he knows that I’m going to be there to hurt him, just as I know that he’ll be there to hurt me… I am looking forward to a great match. And seeing if he can do what we’ve all been encouraging him to do since I first started this! And that’s to handle his own business.”
Jacob Kraig:
“So, do you think there’s the chance that you may not win?”
Seth Evans:
“The chance that I may not win? Absolutely not. I believe that I am going to step out into that ring with Chris Diamond standing opposite of me, and we’re going to wrestle… Whether it be a memorable match or not, that’s up to him. But I will win.”
Jacob Kraig:
“Well, we promised that we would let a few of the fans ask you some questions… if you don’t mind sticking around?”

“What about Emma Danielson? Tra always talks about how hot she is.”
Seth Evans:
“Dude, I think that’s a man.”
Jacob Kraig:

Seth Evans:
“I believe so.”
Jacob Kraig:
“Thank you for your time, maybe we can get you in here another time to answer questions for the fans…”
Seth Evans:
“I’ll… CONSIDER… it.”
*Seth stood up from his chair, and shook hands with Jacob really quickly. Jacob Kraig could be heard doing the closing for the radio show as Seth Evans went over to Traci, and got the Seth Cam before starting to walk out of the room, and he turns off the camera.*
Seth Evans:
“For a long time… I’ve seen Rob doing this thing that he calls ‘Diamond Cam’. Something that you’ve adapted to use, and I just thought that I would give it try. Well…”
