*The scene opens up on a stage setting, dark purple curtains closed behind two chairs and an end table that was placed between the two lounge chairs… The very first thing that we saw, aside from the setting, was the individual in the chair to the left - Seth Evans - a smile was on his face, and he was actually dressed in… a suit. Custom fitted. Sunglasses hid his eyes. He had his right leg crossed over his left, and his arms across the armrests. It was exactly like this where he graced the camera with his voice.*
Seth Evans:
“I’ve just wanted to say one last thing before going into the ring with Chris Diamond this Sunday. I have decided that I am going to be… the bigger man about this. Chris, from the bottom of my heart, I would like to apologize to you about everything that I’ve put you through throughout this entire month, the thorn that I’ve been in your side.”
*Silence in the air, following his opening statement, and he lifted his hand up to remove the sunglasses to reveal his eyes to the camera. He nodded his head very slowly to try and paint the image that he was sincere.*
Seth Evans:
“And I thank you. Thank you for accepting my offer to come onto this stage, so that I may apologize… to your face. And we could talk this out. Clear the air, you know. Please, come on out! Chris Diamond!”
*Fake applauds came through the audio, as if this were being televised in front of a live crowd, and Seth began to clap his hands together… entering from the right side of the stage was --- a midget… that was dressed exactly like Chris Diamond, even had the beard exactly how it looked. Seth stood from his chair as the midget impersonating Chris Diamond extended his hand for a handshake, and Seth gracefully accepted.*
Seth Evans:
“Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule, Chris, I know that you have a lot on your plate with Reborn coming up this week… So much stuff that you have to do backstage.”
*Mini Chris, that’s what we’ll call him, just had a smile on his face and he leaped up onto the chair as it was too high for him to just sit on like an average sized person. Seth took a seat back in his own chair, and looked across at Mini Chris.*
Seth Evans:
“If you don’t mind, do you think you could give these fans…”
*His eyes scanned the “crowd” in front of him as he mentioned “them”, before turning his attention back to Mini Chris.*
Seth Evans:
“An idea of what kind of things you do for each and every pay-per-view. Please?”
Mini Chris:
“I would love to! The very first thing that I do when we first come up with a list of the matches, whether sparked by a feud that’s going on between two or more wrestlers, and we just… well, we’re businessmen. Greedy businessmen. We do what’s best for the business. The ones that we don’t see where we can make money off of, we just make them get into that ring - especially the ones with an ongoing injury, knowing full well that they might get injured. Because… well, we don’t care!”
*While imitating a look of shock, Seth interrupts.*
Seth Evans:
“Oh, wow. Please… continue.”
Mini Chris:
“Yes, yes, of course! The next thing that we do is we look at every match that’s there, especially me… I don’t like to brag, but half the people that win are strictly because I said that they could win. It’s all up to me! We find a way to SCREW everyone! Every match! Like… Emma Danielson, I’m telling you, we’re going to find a way to screw her out of winning this week because we have reason to believe that she is in fact a he.”
*An even larger exaggerated look of shock, even taking the time to bring his hands to his cheeks.*
Seth Evans:
“Emma? NOOO!”
*Mini Chris just pursed his lips, and just nodded his head. Seth lowered his hands, and stared intently as if he were surprised by these statements by “Chris Diamond”.*
Seth Evans:
“Who else were you planning on screwing out of a match?”
Mini Chris:
“Well, we were planning on screwing Ron Gibson and Nathan Doe out of their match, but then we remembered that it’s Joe Everyman on the other team… I don’t know if I need to say anymore about that. JOE… EVERYMAN.”
*Seth leaned back in his chair, and got a little bit more comfortable.*
Seth Evans:
“Oh, no… Nothing else need be said about that one. Really quick, before we get too far off of the latest mentioning; I do have an update about this Emma Danielson situation, if you wouldn’t mind taking a look at the evidence that I have found.”
Mini Chris:
“Absolutely! Let’s see it!”
Seth Evans:
“Right away!”
*Scene shifts…
We’re now at a restaurant where we see Seth Evans behind a huge crowd… he’s holding a paper in the air, and trying to get onto the tips of his toes to try and see over the huge crowd, shouting at someone.*
Seth Evans:
“Emma! Emma Danielson!”
*The camera looks forward to try and see Emma Danielson, that Seth Evans supposedly sees… it does get its focus on a woman - possibly a man - that’s in the middle of the crowd, but we can’t see the face. The only thing that we can see is that she is rather masculine and does have blond hair. No certainty on whether it is THE Emma Danielson.*
Seth Evans:
“Emma! The doctor wanted me to give you this paperwork for you to fill out! He wants to conduct a few exams, and a blood test to find out if you’re a man or a woman! Because… well… we don’t know! And NCW staff needs to know!”
*By what Seth had shouted, the entire crowd is looking in the direction that he is looking… the person BELIEVED to be Emma Danielson storms out of the restaurant, her hand over her face to hide it from the camera. We’re still not sure if it was actually her. Seth tries to push his way through the crowd to catch up with her, but this is where the scene shift, again.
We’re back at the stage where Seth Evans and Mini Chris just shake their heads a little at the scene that they had just seen.*
Seth Evans:
“You see, I am trying to get answers for the fine people… But this does lead me to another question. If Emma Danielson is a man; would that make Andrew Jacobsen a woman?”
Mini Chris:
“Very good question! I think that we’re going to have to get this all sorted out before either one of them will be able to compete. Emma did say she was more of a man than you…”
Seth Evans:
“And I’m a man!”
*Spoken in a bold tone, he gives off a quick flex to the camera to display his manliness. No doubt about it, all man.*
Seth Evans:
“Anyways, let’s hear more about what you do as the General Manager of New Championship Wrestling.”
Mini Chris:
“Of course. After we’ve screwed people out of their matches, we decide on a series of matches that we want to put them through just to make sure that they lose all hope, and just will give up their dream to get into that ring. It has worked for a few people. Some people are just so bad that it doesn’t matter, and we just like to keep them around to make Falcon look good when he needs that match to get his hopes up.”
Seth Evans:
“A jobber?”
Mini Chris:
“We don’t like to refer to them as jobbers.”
Seth Evans:
“What do you call them?”
Mini Chris:
“Freakke.”
Seth Evans:
“You’re serious?”
*Mini Chris nods his head.*
Seth Evans:
“I think that we’ve heard enough about what you all do backstage… It really all sounds; oh so low. The next thing that I’d like to ask you, is how happy were you to hear that I’m wanting to be the bigger man about this - and call this match off?”
*Mini Chris leans back on the chair, and stares up to the ceiling while wiping his brow with his forearm and letting out a long sigh of relief.*
Mini Chris:
“I… am relieved!”
Seth Evans:
“Really? Why is that?”
Mini Chris:
“Because I’m terrified of you! I knew that if we got into that ring, you’d probably beat me quicker than you did when I didn’t see it coming… this time, I’d have been ready. But I still would’ve failed. That’s why I retired, too. Because I’m a failure. That’s why I got this desk job, really… a lot of people don’t know that, they think that I went out with some sort of career ending injury, but I just know that I’ll never… NEVER… be a wrestler. This is what I feel I was made for! I have the corruption, the power, no heart. Did you know that I once fired a janitor who had more children than Megan Kane, and to just get by, he needed this job? Yeah. Well… I fired him. Because I could. I have General Manager written all over me!”
Seth Evans:
“Wow… So you were terrified of me?”
Mini Chris:
“No doubt, man. The second that I made that match, I went backstage and nearly drank myself into a coma just so I’d have an excuse to get out of it.”
Seth Evans:
“So, can you tell me about what happened during my first stay? With Rob Diamond and the X-Division Championship? Did you screw me out of those matches, as I believe, or am I just misinterpreting that.”
Mini Chris:
“Rob is my hero! There’s no way that I would ever let him lose, even if he’s in the ring against someone that’s far better than he is… like you. Yes, Seth, you were screwed during those matches that you had with Rob Diamond. You should have been the X-Division Champion, and I guarantee that if I hadn’t screwed you over back then, you would still be walking around with that belt around your waist, right now!”
Seth Evans:
“You say that Rob Diamond is your hero… Why?”
Mini Chris:
“He’s everything I wish I could be. He’s better in every way, even our mother said that he was better than me! I knew. I knew. I could never do what he does, and what I do really takes no skill at all - just takes… cold… heartless… think about what makes you happy, and do it. Do you know that I have a peephole from my office to Zelda’s shower?”
Seth Evans:
“A peephole?!”
Mini Chris:
“Yes. I inform Leonard Fox every single time that he has to put her shower so it’s right next to my office… and he does it. He doesn’t know I peep on her, though, but even if he did, I don’t think he’d care.”
Seth Evans:
“Who could?”
Mini Chris:
“I know, right?!
Seth Evans:
“I have just one more thing to say to you…”
*A sigh escaped from Seth Evans, as his hands went to the armrests to help lift himself up from his chair. Mini Chris got up, too, and Seth just nodded his head as Mini Chris extended his hand to him - Seth took his hand, as if to shake his hand, again… but he didn’t let go. Seth Evans pulled Mini Chris, and lifted him up to his shoulders! On the center of the stage, he took Mini Chris down with Optimum and quickly got back up to his feet to put one foot over the unconscious Mini Chris… The camera zoomed in on Seth Evans, seeing the twisted smile on his face.*
Seth Evans:
“The match… IS ON!”
*Scene ends.*
Seth Evans:
“I’ve just wanted to say one last thing before going into the ring with Chris Diamond this Sunday. I have decided that I am going to be… the bigger man about this.
