The scene opens on the sounds of soft moaning, and screams. We soon see a young woman running through the woods with the sounds of moaning getting louder around her. A pasty, bleeding figure soon appears in front of her. She screams as the figure lunges at her and bites her with blood squirting everywhere.
Voice: B*** should have known better!
Voice 2: Really... I mean you don't go into the woods while zombies are on the loose.
The camera pans up, and we see Reno, Rude, and Scarpaci sitting on the couch in one of the suites at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Auburn Hills Michigan. A zombie movie marathon had come on, and the three of them had been sitting in front of the TV for at least 10 hours. The door to the suite soon opens and Joanne walks in dressed in nothing more that a deep red and black two piece bikini. She closes the door behind her, and sits one of the plush chairs in the room.
Reno: Feeling any better boss?
Joanne: No. I sat in the hot tub for almost an hour, and then the sauna for half an hour. I don't think my head will clear up before my match, if I don't get somethin' that will work soon.
Rude: So what are you going to do boss?
Scarpaci: He's right sis. I mean you've tried everything possible, and your match is only a few days away.
Joanne: I know... I guess I'll have to go to the hospital.
Reno's eyes get big as she says it, and looks at Rude, as she heads off to get dressed. She walks into the master bedroom, and sits on the edge of the bed.
Joanne: Tara once again, we'll stand to face to face. Haven't you learned anythin' from the last few times that we met? I don't think that you have, and you never will. You doubt that I can beat you, but that's not a smart idea. I'm not goin' to back down from this match, and let you gain another win over me. I'm tired of hearin' you run your mouth about how good you are, when I know I'm that much better. I've been doin' this for a long time, and I'm not goin' to give up just yet. So many of my opponents have doubted me, and they ended up on the mat for doin' so. You think that I'm a joke, and a total fraud, but let me tell you somethin' I'm the real deal, and I will take you down without a second thought. You have no respect for me, because of the way I handle myself in the ring, but you know what? I really don't care what you or anyone else thinks about what I do, or handle myself in the ring.
Joanne gets to her feet and turns her back to the camera as she slips into a black and blue crew shirt, and a pair of tight pair of black leather pants, before heading out of the room, and back into the living room where the guys are waiting.
Scarpaci: You guys go on ahead. I'll stay behind in case Davis calls.
Joanne: Good. We'll be back as soon as we can.
Joanne, Reno and Rude head out of the room, and into the quiet hallway. She sighed as she pulled her black leather jacket around her as they headed for the elevator that would take them to the lobby. She hits the button, and leans against the wall.
Joanne:*Voice over*Tara you are the most self centered person that I have ever had the chance of meetin', and I met a lot of people just like you. They think they can handle someone like me only to be knocked off their pedestal and laid out at my feet in the middle of the ring. Sure you might have had a couple of chances at Zelda, but tell me did you win against her? If you did, wouldn't you have the Women's Title around your waist, while she had nothin'? Funny the last couple of times that you faced Zelda you lost. I know that I haven't had a chance at her yet, but my time will come, and when it does I'll look at you and laugh. I know that I'm better then you, and there is nothin' that you can do to stop me. When you step into that ring on Sunday night you better bring everythin' that you have to take me down, because I am not goin' to back down no matter what you throw at me. You could have walked away the last time that we met, but you didn't. Every time that I step into the ring I know that I can't win them all, but Sunday night the victory will be mine.
Joanne smiles softly, as the sound of the elevator doors opening broke her from her thoughts. They step into the elevator and the doors close behind them as the scene fades to black.
The scene reopens on St Joseph Mercy Hospital in Auburn Hills, in the emergency room. It was slow for a Wednesday night, but a few people sat in the waiting room. A young mother cuddled her sick infant close to her, while a young man with dark hair sat holding his left arm, with what appeared to be a bone sticking out of it. The doors soon slide open and there stood Joanne with Reno and Rude behind her. Reno and Rude walk over to the waiting area while Joanne headed to the admittance window, as a heavy set woman looked up at her, sliding the window open.
Woman: Can I help you ma'am?
Joanne: Yeah, I've been havin' this headache for the last two days, and I've tried takin' somethin' for it, but nothin' has worked.
Woman: Name.
Joanne: Joanne Camellia Canelli.
Woman: Date of Birth?
Joanne: July third 1974.
This continues for a few more minutes, and finally Joanne is told to go and sit down. She walks over to where Reno and Rude sit, watching TV on the nightly news.
Rude: So how long are we going to be here?
Joanne: Don't know, and I don't really care. I need to get somethin' for my head, or I won't be able to focus on my match this week, and that's the last thin' I need.
The time soon passes and they are the only ones in the emergency room waiting area. Joanne sighs, as Reno gets up and turns the channel to the channel that had the all day zombie movie marathon. The heavy set woman soon calls her name, and gets to her feet, and heads for the door where she was waiting.
Reno: Do you want us to come with you boss?
Joanne: No, I'll be fine. Why don't you guys wait here, and watch your zombie movies?
With that Joanne walks off, leaving Reno and Rude alone once again, watching the TV mounted on the wall. Reno soon turns to Rude and sighs.
Reno: You know that this is the perfect place for a zombie attack.
Rude: What? How do you figure that man?
Reno: Well where do they bring the bodies when someone dies?
Rude: The morgue. Wait I see where you're going with this. You're right, this is the worst place to be if something like that happens. Damn... We would be f***in' dead.
Reno just nods, and leans back in his seat.
Reno: Right. There is no way out of here. I think we'd make it out of here, we have guns.
Rude: Dude, how many rounds do you have?
Reno: I have a full clip in, and two more with me...
Rude: Hell that's only 32 bullets... We would never make it...
Reno: What if the boss got bit? I mean what if she became a zombie...
Rude: Then we would shoot her.
Reno: Really? I don't think that I could do it. I mean...
Rude pats Reno on the shoulder, and sighs.
Rude: Don't worry man, I'll pull the trigger.
Meanwhile...
In the outpatients room, we find Joanne sitting on a table, and sighs, watching nurses running back and forth, not paying any attention to her. One of the nurses had already checked her over, leaving her to wait for the doctor that would be with her soon.
Joanne: Freya did you think I forgot about you? I haven't. You've been quiet, but that doesn't surprise me at all. You haven't been one of the greatest Diva's in the NCW since you've been here. You should have just stayed in your brother's shadow, and stayed at home with your twin boys. I envy you in a way considerin' that you have a family... But then I think how lucky I am to live in a big house, with no one else to really care for. I can come and go as I please, and never have to worry about greedy little brats always under foot.
Joanne just smiles knowing that she could get to Freya in a few ways, and going after her personal life was one of them. She leans back on the table, and stares up at the ceiling.
Joanne: Do you think that you can stand against me on Sunday night Freya? I know that you don't have what it takes to put me down, even with Tara helpin' you in the ring. I'll be the one that will be left standin' in the middle of the ring at the end of our match, and movin' up the ladder once again to get a chance to take Zelda down.
The door soon opens and Joanne sits up, seeing a young doctor. His dark eyes glistened as he looked up from the folder that he hand in his hands, and smiles softly extending his hand to Joanne.
Doctor Madison: You must be Joanne Canelli. What is wrong this evening Ms. Canelli?
Joanne: I've had this horrible headache for the last two days, and I've tried everythin' but nothin' helped at all.
Dr. Madison just nods, as he puts his hands on forehead and sighs, as Joanne flinches slightly.
Doctor Madison: Sinus headache from what I can tell Ms. Canelli. You have a lot of pressure, and it takes a couple of days to sort itself out.
Joanne sighs, and closes her eyes, as he checks her pulse and times it with his watch.
Joanne: I wish I had a couple of days Doc, but I don't. I have a match on Sunday and...
Doctor Madison: Wait... You're with the NCW that is in town aren't you?
Joanne: Yeah. That's why I came here. I need somethin' to get rid of whatever is botherin' me. Can you help me or not doc?
Doctor Madison: Yes. I'll give you something to help you get rid of this infection, so you can be ready for your match on Sunday night. It's not often that we get someone like you in here.
Joanne: You might want to keep the emergency room open that night considerin' how these matches are goin' to go this time around.
Meanwhile...
Reno and Rude are still sitting in front of the TV.
Reno: Man, how long has it been?
Rude: About an hour and a half...
Reno: I'm getting hungry. Let's go and check out the vending machines.
Rude: Ok.
The two of them walk down a small hallway, and look at the vending machines. A pepsi machine, a machine filled with bars, and other things sat in front of them. Reno pulled out a 20 and headed to the change machine and goes to put it in, only to see the light is flashing.
Reno: Damn. None of the machines take anything bigger than a buck. I'm so hungry...
Rude: Wait... Do you still have that key?
Reno: Yeah, I still have it. But will it work on these ones?
Rude: Only one-way to find out. I'll be your look out.
Reno just nods, as Rude walks to the front of the hallway, and looks back and forth, as Reno opens the vending machines, grabbing a few things before closing them back up, and walking away.
Meanwhile...
The doctor walks out of the room, after handing Joanne a slip of paper, leaving her alone once again. She walks out of the room and heads back toward the front waiting room once again.
Joanne: Freya come Sunday night you will know what it is like to feel the pain that I bring to my opponents. I'm not goin' to back down from you or Tara this week. Neither one of you deserve to be in the same ring with me, but you are. I know that you hate the fact that I am better then you, but there isn't much that you can do against me now is there Freya? You are pathetic, and will never amount to anythin' in this company, but me... I will always rise to the top, while you fall on your face, and realize that you can... and could never stand against someone like me.
Joanne reaches the door, and heads out back into the lobby where Reno and Rude sat watching the rest of the zombie movies with a bunch of junk food that they had gotten from the vending machines. Joanne just sighs, and shakes her head, as she sees them. She walks over to them, and motions for them to go, as the scene fades to black.
The scene reopens on the darkened suite back at the Crowne Plaza hotel. It was early in the morning when they arrived back, and stepped inside. The sounds of someone moaning somewhere in the darkness made them pay attention, as Joanne closes the door behind them.
Rude:*Whisper*Did you hear that?
Reno:*Whisper*It's zombies... They're real.
Joanne:*Whisper*Don't be stupid... Someone might have gotten in. Get the bat in the closet.
Reno creeps to the closet and pulls out a baseball bat, and heads to the smaller bedroom in the suite. Reno begins to swing, and all that was heard was a few moans, as the figure stumbles out of the bedroom, and onto the floor in the living room. Joanne turns on the light, only to see Scarpaci lying on the floor, clutching his ribs, as Reno goes for another swing. Joanne grabs the bat, and sighs, getting down on the floor beside him.
Joanne: Are you alright?
Scarpaci: No... I caught that stupid cold that you have... I feel awful.
Joanne just sighs, and helps him to his feet, and into the bedroom, as Reno and Rude go back to watch the zombie marathon once again, as the scene fades to black.
