Well, now that it is said and done, we all know how things unfolded. I talked to Jeff, and he told me that Cena was in fact NOT supposed to come back at the Rumble, but to interfere in a Bobby Lashley vs. Randy Orton main event at Wrestlemania.
The way it was going to go tonight, is that Lashley was supposed to return, and win the Rumble, to take on Orton at Mania. Well, if you don't know, Bobby Lashley quit the company TODAY. At that point, Hardy was going to win the title. Soon after, he found out that Cena WAS in fact returning, and that Orton was going to retain.
The reason Cena won the rumble (for now) is so he can get payback on Orton at Wrestlemania. I'm guessing also it is going to be Batista vs. Edge at Wrestlemania, with Flair jobbing and retiring to Trips.
They wanted to bring in Sting to retire Fliar, but Sting declined after he left TNA. Cena wanted to return tonight, and get eliminated, but Vince said that he wanted to wait for him to return. Once Lashley left, they chose Cena, which is a ****ing crock of **** in my book!

Lashley told Vince about a month ago that he wasn't sure how much longer he would be with the company, that it wasn't working for him and that his heart was in the armed forces. Vince talked him into making it until Wrestlemania, but at the last second, he backed out.

Dave's right, white people love them some Wayne Brady.
But as for lashley and his role was to be... generic muscle bound wrestler #12339394848548490230-04-2-30-203-230-03039044943494943049409409
We have HHH, Cena, V, Henry, Batista, Kahli, and Taker... no room for Lashley here, have fun getting your brain kicked in MMA or TNA.

Anyone see Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley in the UFC in a few years?
It could very well happen.

Just checking, does V mean Viscera? Because if so he does not belong in that category. I saw the rumble... I vomited at the mass of gloopy rippling. There isn't a shred of muscle on that guy.

Lashley quit because of his woman getting fired, he gave up money and fame for a bald woman with a big ass forhead.
and as far as the rumble goes, it was now officialy a WASTE OF ****ING TIME. If they wanted to give Cena a title match at No Way Out then why didnt they and let a SMACKDOWN guy win the Rumble? Or better yet let the first ever ECW guy win it (and let him (punk) use it to jump ship to SD and challange Edge for the world title)

Punk IS going to Smackdown. Expect it either around, or after Wrestlemania.

yeah but useing the momentum of a RUMBLE WIN would have been a lot better then "hey you cost me my title im going to hurt you" *shrugs* the booking lately has been on par with TNA.

As long as Vince Russo is running the "Booking" show in TNA, TnA is going to always be a joke.
