Act 1: A Girl and Her Dolls
The scene opens on the interior of the Du Lac Manor. The hallways were quiet, but the sound of clinking cups could be heard coming from one of the rooms along the long hallway. The camera moves to the door that is opened a small crack, and we see a room filled with dolls among the shelves, soft bed covered in a deep pink down comforter, with dolls sitting in front of the soft pillows. The camera moves around the room that was decorated like that of a young girl's room, with lace, and frills, but in black and pink. At the far end of the room, there was a full-length mirror that gleamed in the sun streaming through the bay window. A small wooden dollhouse sat against the wall with a few rag dolls lying around it. On a small table near the mirror there was a small porcelain tea set. The sound of a soft voice was soon heard coming from the middle of the room, where we find Malice sitting with 5 porcelain dolls around the table. She had a very beautiful and antique looking tea set sitting on the table. She poured tea into the cups that sat in front of each doll and then pours herself a cup, before setting the tea pot back on the table.
Malice: I'm so glad that you could all join me today... What was that? It is lovely tea isn't it?
The camera looks around the room, seeing that no one else is there with her. She was talking to the dolls that sat with her. Malice looks at the camera and smiles softly.
Malice: I've noticed one thing, from what all of my opponents have said about me... They all think that I'm crazy, or or on some drug, but I am in my right mind and very sane thank you. You are underestimating me already and think that you can take me down with what little talent that each of you has. You see I've been in the ring before, and when my opponents underestimated me it was the first and last mistake that they made. I'm not to be taken lightly, or looked down upon because I'm new here. I've been trained by the best, and I will prove it on Sunday night.
Malice excuses herself from the dolls that sit around the table, and walks over to a large book case that was filled with old looking books bound in leather. She runs her hand along the spines of the books, as the camera catches a few names... "Alice in Wonderland", "The Wonderful World of OZ", "Peter Pan", and "Snow White". Malice just smiles as she looks at the camera.
Malice: All of you have made comparisons with Alice in Wonderland because of my name, and other things. I love to read, and yes Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorites. But the world is beautiful beyond all reason... Maybe that's why I spend so much time there.
Malice turns from the bookshelf and walks over to a spot where there are dolls upon dolls. She picks one up and pushes it's long hair back from its porcelain face.
Malice: Beautiful aren't they? I have one from every corner of the world thanks to my dearest father, and the rest of my family. Every time they go somewhere they bring me back at least one and they end up here in my world of dolls. But there is another reason that these are here. Do you know what it feels like to be alone? To be lost in a world that would rather see you and not hear you? I do. That's why I stay here, deep within the safety of the walls of du Lac Manor where I can never be hurt, or left alone again.
She sets the doll back down among the rest and walks back to the table that has the five dolls sitting around it. She takes her place once again, as she picks up the first one beside her. As the camera focuses in on it, the doll looks familiar in a way. It looks like Tara Fenix. The camera moves around the table and we see the other dolls that look like Megan Kane, Maria Williams, Ashlie Ember, and Charlie Jones, all dressed in different color doll dresses.
Malice: Do you like them? My perfect little dolls. They don't speak, but are very polite, and are very good listeners, unlike the real ones. Tara do you ever let your thoughts wander from the past? I mean dwelling on things that have passed is never a good thing. No wonder you loose most of the time. You're head is in the past, and not focused on the here and now like it should be. Why linger in memories, when you can be doing so much more in life then wondering what could have been instead of what could be? I am focused on what is in front of me this week Tara, and I know no matter what it takes I will win this match against the 5 of you. I'm not going to give up that easy, and I will not fail. My father has taught me manners, how to defend myself, how to be a lady, and how to fight. I am my father’s daughter and a du Lac will always get what they want. All I have to do is destroy the rest of you to get my hands on that title shot, and I will get what I want.
She picks up the doll that looks like Ashlie Ember and smiles fixing the deep red dress that she wore.
Malice: Ashlie do you really think that you can take someone like myself on? You seem so sure of yourself and the win that you are going to gain. I've learned one thing while I've trained with my father and the others... Winning is never guaranteed against an opponent that you don't know. The way you carry yourself is vulgar and very selfish. You are nothing more than a child that just wants to get her way all the time, and if she doesn't she'll throw a fit until she gets what she wants. I'll have to put you in your place Ashlie, and show you how a real lady acts in the world. I always keep a cool head, and make sure to do what I need to very thoroughly. So Sunday night considered yourself warned... Because I will not stop until that bell sounds, and you are left, broken, beaten, bloodied, and battered on the mat, while I walk away with my first win in the NCW.
Malice sets the Ashlie doll down and smiles softly picking up the Charlie Jones doll dressed in a deep pink dress.
Malice: Charlie you think that I have no intelligence unlike the others that we are standing in the ring with this week, but actually I am quite intelligent. I am constantly learning, and know quite a bit, but that's what worries you isn't it? You don't know what to expect from me. You've seen the others in the ring, and know what to expect from them. Their moves, the way they carry themselves, but me... You have no idea what to expect. You will see soon enough what I can do, and why I am feared by those that face me. I've done this before, and taken down some big guys and women while I was in the ring before. But that was then, and this is now. Sunday night you will face who is full of determination to win her first match. I will not give you an inch to get a move in, nor will I let you win.
She looks over at the doll that sat across from her, and reaches across the table. She slowly picks it up, and stares at the dead glass eyes.
Malice: Maria, I still don't consider you a threat to me. You are just like your husband. When you step into the ring, you have no clue on what to do. You try and try and try and never make it any further than you already have. Do you really think that you can stand up against some one like me? I know I have yet to prove myself in the ring but come Sunday night I will. You will be the first one that I go after just to see your face when I toss you out, and continue on once again, gaining the victory over all of you. Maria how many times have you stepped into the ring only to fail? And come this Sunday it won't be any different.
She sets the doll back in its seat, and picks up the last one. It was a doll that looked like Megan Kane. The doll was dressed in a deep purple dress trimmed with a silver lace, and the eyes were a deep doe brown wide open staring up at Malice.
Malice: Megan first off I want to say it was kind of you to apologize for what you said. That shows that you have respect for those show you the same. But as for me stealing your soul... You have nothing to worry about. My father always taught me if some one respected me then I should do the same, but that changes nothing about what is going to happen on Sunday night in the ring between us. I want to win this match, and I will make sure that it happens no matter what it takes.
Malice just smiles as she gets to her feet once again, and looks around the room at the dolls that were sitting everywhere.
Malice: I might not have children, but I have the next best thing. Have any of your ever played with dolls when you were little girls? I have and still do. You see I think of them as my children, and care for them as such. I treat each one with care, and give each special attention. They are family in a way, and I would never let harm come to any of them. I think that every girl should have a doll, no matter how old they are. They are the most important companion to a young girl, because they always listen, they never talk back, they let you cry on their shoulder, and they understand what you're going through.
Malice turns to the camera and smiles softly as her dark hair falls into her face, with her bright blue eyes blazing from behind the dark locks.
Malice: Come Sunday night, no matter what it takes, and whatever one of you stand in my way, I will still win. I will destroy each and every one of you one by one to get what I want, and I will not give up until I get the win, and my first victory.
Malice pushes her hair back and heads for the door to her room, and looks back at the camera with a sly smile forming on her lips.
Malice: I can't wait to play with all of you.
With that she opens the door and walks out of the room. The camera focuses on the 5 dolls that still sat around the table, leaving us to wonder who will be Malice's first victim as the scene fades to black.
