This is another thing Adam and I have discussed, but the details haven't been hammered out if we do it or not. We both feel that a 2nd show would be like Sunday night Heat for the WWE. The way I see it, pretty much the newer guys in the nCw would be booked weekly and the results would be in shortened form accept for the main event which would be written out in full. We want everyone to stay involved here and would like to try to get everybody in every week. There is always an option of giving people time off, but many people would get bored with that if it were you taking a week off here and there. I know I would if I were rping and wouldn't want a week off unless I really needed it. This would also force our hand and have us put up the staff application form and have a staff member to either help us write matches for the main show, or write this entire 2nd show. What do you think? Any ideas or comments about this are welcome...what can we do to make nCw better and give EVERYONE the opportunity to rp here every week?

I think it's a good idea.
We seem to be getting alot of new members now. And trying to debuting them all each week is a hard task because it's usually just an interference segement that gets old quick.
The good thing about this type of show though is that you wouldn't have to put so much effort into the results. Have each match and just give an overview of the what happened in the match. Maybe even have Chad Light hosting the show and have him include past events from Collision, news and rumours, and predictions on the new up and coming stars who star in the second show before going on to Collision.
We could use the show to bring back returning superstars, have them booked in a house show type thing before making their debut final on Collision or a PPV.
Waiting to be booked in a match is the worst thing in the world when you're a new guy in a fed with people who are established already.
Great idea guys, I say yes.

I think it's a good idea, it will lead to less Dark Matches which SHOULD lead to more roleplays on the board.
As for name ideas...erm...Spike Rules?

I'm gonna say a second show is almost needed right now. The space on Collision is limited, and the trend I've noticed since starting to follow the fed is that 4-6 new people sign up, they get booked, and half don't RP, thus wasting show space and forcing the staff to either just do an "enhancement" match, or completly switch booking around. The second show should just be debut matches with small writeups, or matches to get some people that aren't gonna be booked on Collision something to do other than developmentals. That way, the people that just sign up then flake don't screw up Collision, and the ones that do can be moved foward. JMHO.
Name idea's, well... Meltdown, Power Hour, Challenge, Day-of-the-week-the-show-runs-on Night, Showcase, Showdown. Uh, yeah, that's it for now.

Well, alot of people like me are going back to school, so I will have barely enough time for one show, however, if it is made to be brand split, that'd be cool.

You won't be on two shows...
It's two shows so that everyone gets booked. If you rp consistenly, then you will be on Collision, so...there's no reason for you to be worried about being on two shows.

The only problem that I forsee is from a management standpoint. I can see why you would want a second show, but I know from being a fed owner myself that writing two shows a week can be VERY draining.

I like the idea. It will give the people just hired a chance to actually rp and feel good about rping because they are "booked" for a show. If they consistantly rp then they can be moved to Collision. It will be a good test for the new commers. It is needed right now and good job on the results you have been doing. Its starting to take off and I am getting real excited about this place.

This 2nd show would be a shortened form of results and meant strictly for the new guys, and if some guys really get going with the rps..we may ask somebody on Collision to come over and face them in a match on this new show in the main event match to see where they stand then. If it is all good..then we move them to Collision...
As far as the strain goes, it is a strain for us right now to keep everyone involved with 1 show. I'd like to think that Adam has left this part to me, he knows more about all the MAJOR angles going on and that's cool with me; but he expects me to figure out ways to keep everyone on the roster involved and that's what I'm trying to do.
When I see Collision..I see...6 very well written matches and an awesome main event making it 7 matches in total. We've got 9 matches on there and 2 are "dark matches". I can speak for Adam and myself, we have no problem with writing a couple of matches each week in shortened form for Collision, but we still want to maintain the integrity of Collision and weed out potential flakers here. The best way to do this is by having a 2nd show..where the newer additions can rp for that show...have shortened results..(and no, not "Kamala beats Vader via finisher and pin fall") but decent looking shortened results and a fully written main event so we can see who will be staying with us and rping consistently and who just doesn't feel nCw is right for them. That's how I feel about it...

I say, with the influx of new talent, this might be a good idea. It'll give the match writers more time to concentrate on the main show, with less matches to write, and better yet, help weed out all the flakes.

as an experienced fed owner myself, I know where your coming from. Its as if new members are coming in daily. And your running out of dark match space on the show.
A Sunday Night Heat style show is a good idea at this point, you have made it past your 1st ppv and its time to grow, and this is the best way.
As for show idea, you could use mine... Turmoil, or I like Slam TV!, anything catchy

Nothing confirmed yet, I sent Fox a purposed card and told him I could handle the show for the time being and we could set one up for next week. I'm pretty sure we will have it Saturday night this way we can book both shows about the same time so we don't book somebody twice on the same show.
My idea of of the name of a show is Saturday Night Suspense
It is really whatever Adam wants, but I told him I'd write the show for the time being until we discuss how we want to do about getting somebody else on staff to help us. We are in "talks" right now with The Tremor helping us out, but his schedule may prevent him from being totally dependable. We will wait a see though I guess. Thanks!

in my opinion, I have been in feds where they had two shows, and I believe it makes feds shut down. too much confusion with some things and sometimes not enough on the roster

What's even more confusing and a lot harder to do is book 20 matches for 1 show a week. This other show allows all the new guys to come in and get some action and establish themselves...eventually this 2nd show will earn more credibility and possibly bring in another belt specifically for that show..wouldn't that be cool huh? lol |
