A lot of people wonder why I had really… nothing to say, in regards to the other competitors that are going to be stepping into the ring with me this Sunday. All I really have to say to answer this is; why? Why should I address all of my opponents, and be just like everybody else?
They don’t think that I’ve been paying attention to the words that they’ve been saying against me. A housewife, living in Angel’s shadow? One even decided to bring up my past relationships… that have failed… and call me a whore, just because I couldn’t be happy with the men I was with.
I hear all of this, and the only thing that I can say is… I don’t care.
I don’t care about what they say about me, to me, do to me. The only thing that matters is that I’m going to step into that ring this Sunday, and I am going to walk out… once again… as the number one contender for the NCW Women’s World Championship. Why is it going to be me that does this? Because it has to be. There’s a lot of fans out there that don’t like me, and probably don’t believe that I should be the one walking out as the number one contender; but they know I can. Just like everybody in that ring…
They all know that I can.
There is one common thing that stands out, coming from all of them: I am the biggest threat. They may not feel that I am the biggest threat to everyone else, but they all feel that I am the biggest threat to… them. It’s the ego talking. From all of them, and possibly even from me.
I am the biggest threat.
I will get through this… and I will give everybody what they want. Not just me. The rematch between Zelda Knite and Tara Fenix… one that we will not be robbed of, this time.
Now, I do have to get onto my opponents… I’m not going to waste my breath, or the time of anyone. I’ll take this just one step at a time.
The very first woman that comes to mind, for me, is this Charlaine Jones. The sister of my ex-boyfriend. She seems to be having just a little bit of a fit over the fact that I didn’t talk about her the last time that I was on camera, and… why? Why do you not like the idea that I ignored you? It’s like you have it set in your mind that the reason you have to be on camera is to badmouth your opponent… you have to be on the camera to talk **** about your opponent. That’s far from the truth.
I know that I’ve done it in the past, and I continue to do it… but I’m going to give you some advice, Charlaine. Because I have nothing against you, as I do against your brother.
Nobody cares.
Nobody cares about what you have to say about your opponent; all they care about is what’s going to make you stand out from everybody else… what’s going to make them believe that you’re going to actually walk out with that victory. You believe that you can make a target out of me, and start throwing petty little insults at me to get my attention and to get everybody paying attention to what you have to say, but I’m telling you…
The only reason that I’m answering you now is to teach you.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll tell you… that last match that I had, with the NCW Women’s World Championship on the line. It was a fight I couldn’t win. The fact that I was in there with a partner didn’t help, because I… didn’t want one. Then the greed on the mind of both of us, both of us wanting to make sure it would be us to walk out with that title around our waist - it wasn’t meant to be. I was going to make sure that Rayne wouldn’t walk out with that title… but I was willing to give Zelda a rematch, if I had won, at any time… any place… when she was ready to take it.
Honor.
I would have had none if I walked out with the title on that night… but I was ready to do anything to make sure that I earn that honor, and earn that right to call myself the Women’s World Champion.
It wasn’t meant to be.
I’ll have to earn my second opportunity.
The next opponent that comes to my mind is this Ashlie Ember. The ex-girlfriend of a former World Champion, Adam Knite… a man who I have the utmost amount of respect for. Why are you here, Ashlie? Really? Can you tell anyone why you are here? Don’t think that I haven’t noticed what’s been going on in the world of Adam and Kelly. Are you here to just try to get that spark between you and Adam, again? Because you feel that nothing is going right between Adam and Kelly?
If you ask me, that’s the only reason that you’re here. To show Adam Knite that you can actually get something done inside the ring, and try to be just half as good as his sister has become…
And you just have quite the mouth on you.
It seems that you just hate everybody that stands in front of you. You hate everything that is just… not you.
You’re just like Craig.
You believe that you’ll be able to get into that ring, and just take out one of the top athletes… in the world of professional wrestling. I wish you all the luck in the world.
And dare you.
The NCW Women’s World Championship… was ripe for the picking. It was going to be mine. I will win it; just after I get through these women… and become the number one contender. Earn my chance to face Zelda Knite. Again.
*The scene opens up to a beautifully lit sky, with stars and the moon shining brightly overhead… we’re at the San Antonio residence of Tara Fenix, in the backyard. The camera focused on the stars for a moment before coming down and seeing that Tara was sitting on her knees in the middle of her backyard, her eyes closed.*
Mentality. Everything that was being said of me… I couldn’t let it get to me. I couldn’t let what was going on between Angel and Alex get to me. There was one thing that had to be on my mind, and that was winning.
*While Tara was just trying to concentrate, two hands came to her shoulders… the touch catches her completely off guard, and we see Angel sit down behind her, and pull her back so that her back is against him.*
Tara:
“What are you doing, scaring me like that?”
*Her hand smacked his leg very lightly, and he just held her as close as he could before finally pulling her back so the two were laying together on the grass, just staring up at the night sky.*
Angel:
“I didn’t mean to startle you.”
Tara:
“It’s fine.”
Angel:
“Are you worried at all about your match?”
Tara:
“Do you have to ask that?”
I asked, staring up at him… I saw him lower his head a little to see the look in my eyes, knowing that I’m not exactly worried about it.
Angel:
“I guess not.”
Tara:
“I’m going to beat them, and become the number one contender…”
I sat up, and gently kissed Angel on the cheek before laying back down and just staring up at the stars with him. As if looking to my hopes and dreams… my quest to become the number one wrestler in the industry. Again.
Tara:
“And I will become the Women’s World Champion… once and for all.”
*Scene ends.*
