Act 1: Creatures of the Sand
Act 1: Creatures of the Sand
The scene opens on the luxurious living quarters of the Golden Queen Cleopatra. The sound of chanting could be heard coming from an open door at the far end of the room. The camera moves through the door, only to find a rather large temple like area off of the main room. The walls were littered with hieroglyphics that told the story of Isis, and Osiris, and the rise and fall of the great Queen Cleopatra. The camera moves through the doorways heading deeper and deeper into the dimly lit temple. The sound of the chanting starts to get louder, as the camera enters the main sanctuary we see Cleo standing in front of a large fire pit with the smoke streaming up from it. Her high Priestess stands on the other side, while Stacy dressed in a pure white toga with laurel leaves in her hair stood to one side.
High Priestess: What is it that you seek my Goddess?
Cleo: I seek a way to over come the fear of the serpent. I fear not the one that I face, but of the creatures that slither upon the ground that will be in the pit.
High Priestess: There is only one way to protect yourself from the serpents my Goddess. The book that gives life has the answer that you seek. It shall protect you long enough to over come that one that you love you no more.
Cleo: Thank you child of Isis.
The High Priestess bows, to Cleo, before her and and Stacy walk off heading back through the dimly lit temple.
Stacy: Ma'am are you going to be ready for your match on Sunday night?
Cleo: Don't worry about me Stacy, I'll be ready to face Ayla, no matter what it takes.
Stacy just nods, and smiles softly, as they reach the door leading back into the main living quarters.
Cleo: Stacy fetch me the "Book of the Dead". I know I will find what I need in there.
Stacy: But ma'am she said the book that gives life, not...
Cleo: Yes the Book of the Dead. The Book of the Dead gives life, while the Book of the Living, takes life.
Stacy: Yes ma'am.
Stacy walks off and heads out of the room, leaving Cleo alone to her thoughts. She smiles to herself and walks over to a large glass case that held golden trinkets from the ancient world.
Cleo: Ayla do you really think that I am afraid of you? I'm not. What I fear are the creatures that will be in the pit that we will fight around. I don't plan on ending up in that lovely little pit, but you on the other hand... I'll take great pleasure in seeing you writhe in pain with each bite that is made into your flesh, while the sound of your screams echo through out the arena.
She opens the glass case and pulls out what looks like a golden beetle. She smiles at it, and looks up at the camera.
Cleo: Do you know what this is Ayla? This was once a scarab beetle. They were deadly, and feared by those that happened to stumble upon them. These creatures were known to burrow under the skin of any animal that stumbled upon them. In a matter of seconds these little deadly creatures could enter a mans heart, and then head straight for the brain, killing whatever they were in. So your little pet is nothing compared to one of these. Speaking of which...
Cleo sets the golden scarab back in the case, and walks over to a rather large aquarium that contained scorpions. She smiles as she looks at the creatures within.
Cleo opens the case and puts her hand in, taking out of the scorpions as it tries to run away. It runs over her hand and Cleo just smiles looking at the camera.
Cleo: You're not the only one that has a little pet that can cause death. I have many and the poison this little one has within it's body holds Neurotoxin, and cardio toxin, which makes is one of the deadliest creatures on earth. But that's not what the pit is going to be filled with on Sunday night is it? The snakes that are going to be within the pit are non-toxic. But...
Cleo just smirks and sets the Scorpion back in its aquarium before walking over to a small glass case, where something gold and black moved among the rocks within. She taps on the glass a little and the creature sits up, with the hood around it's head fully stretched. Cleo looks at it, and takes a deep breath watching it, as it settles back sunning itself under a lamp.
Cleo: How do you feel about tempting fate Ayla? The Egyptian Cobra, or the Asp as it's commonly known is very deadly. The venom that it holds is another neurotoxin, and takes affect after 15 minutes, before you die. I'm willing to tempt fate if you are Ayla. I'll make sure this little lovely will be put into the mix with the rest of the snakes deep within the pit that will be set up on Sunday night.
Cleo walks away from the glass cases and steps out onto the balcony that over looks the massive estate property. She sighs lightly feeling the cool air move around her, blowing through her long hair, and tugging at the long deep purple and gold toga that she wore.
Cleo: One thing still bothers me Ayla... You said that I broke your heart, and shattered what was left of your soul by what I did to you... but the truth is it's all your own fault. Where were you when I needed you the most? When Drake fired me where were you? I was willing to fight for what we had, but yet you turned away from it, and showed me why I made my decision to give up. I should have known better than to get involved with you, instead of making you nothing more than another follower.
Her eyes fill with a look of hate as she glares back at the camera.
Cleo: No one will make me fall from my place among my followers. You see they are devoted to me no matter what and see as the Goddess that I am, even when you can't or will not. Cry all the tears that you want Ayla, for I have cried all mine before the final blow was made. Just know this that I did care for you at one point but now, I feel nothing for you, and realize that what happened between us was nothing more than a very big mistake. Sunday night I will rectify that mistake and take you down once and for all.
Cleo just stares out over the grounds once again, and smirks. Sunday night she would walk the winner no matter what she had to do or to hurt to get the win. Stacy walks up behind her and bows slightly, as Cleo turns around.
Cleo: Did you find what I asked for?
Stacy: Yes ma'am. The book is sitting on your desk. Oh you received an invitation ma'am.
Cleo: Really? For what?
Stacy: For tea ma'am.
Stacy hands Cleo the invitation and she smiles softly. Cleo walks back into her room with Stacy following behind as the scene fades to black.
Act 2: Tea Time
The scene opens on Cleo walking down the long hallway with the black cat sitting in her arms. The long purple toga that she wore drags along behind her, while her bare feet fell silent on the floor as she stopped in front of the door. She knocks gently and there stood Malice with a soft smile.
Malice: I'm so glad that you could make it Cleo. My other guests are already here.
Cleo looks around Malice, and there sat Sothren, with Ex and Abel with a folder between them. Cleo just smiles, and enters the room, taking her place between Sothren and Ex, after sitting the black cat beside Malice.
Malice: I'll be back in a moment. I have to get the tea from downstairs.
Malice walks out of the room, as Cleo looks at what Ex and Abel were looking over. The folder had information about the current tag team champions Will Washington, and Ian Kline.
Cleo: What are you two doing?
Ex: Nothing...
Cleo: Nothing, or something?
Ex clutches his head, as Cleo sighs, shaking her head.
Ex: Ahhhhh GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!
Cleo: Oh stop it. So she invited you to tea as well huh?
Sothren: Yes. But it was tea time, and I figured it would be a good break from my art.
Cleo: I see.
Sothren: Have you even started to train for your match yet? I mean Ayla means business, and you know she's going to try everything to bring you down on Sunday night.
Cleo: I've already started to train for my match against Ayla this week. I will be the one to walk away from this match after all is said and done, while she lies in the pit of snakes.
Ex: You sound like you have everything figured out for Sunday night.
Cleo: I do, and I have something else that is going to make sure that I stay out of that pit.
Sothren: What's that?
Cleo: I'm making sure an Egyptian Asp is going to be put into the pit as well. The snake is deadly and the last thing I want to do is get bitten by something that kill someone within 15 minutes.
Sothren nods as the bedroom door opened. Malice stood there with a porcelain tea pot in hand, and moved to the table taking her place.
Malice: I hope everyone is ready for a cup of tea and some sweets.
Cleo: That sounds wonderful.
Malice: Did I interrupt anything?
Sothren: Of course not. Just discussing Cleo's match on Sunday night. Ayla made the biggest mistake in challenging you to this match.
Malice: Sothren is right Cleo. Ayla is looking for revenge for what you supposedly done to her. It was her own fault and she should have known better.
Cleo: Thank you Malice. At least someone understands. But the way I see it, is all I have really have to do is keep myself out of that pit, and make sure that she goes in. She'll regret ever challenging me to this match.
Ex: Need us at ring side Cleo?
Cleo: No, that's alright. Sothren will be with me. Keep your eye on Malice. It's been a while since she's been in he ring.
Malice shakes her head and smiles.
Malice: I'll be fine. I know that I can handle them, and walk away with my first win.
Cleo: We know you can. If you need us though we'll be there, and I know if I need any help you will have my back. That's what family does... We look out for one another, and we always will.
Cleo just smirks as the others nod. She was right, family always stuck together no matter what the problem, and no one would stop them if they worked together in taking on anyone that stood in their way. They continue to talk strategy as they have afternoon tea as the scene fades to black.
