Such lovely stories..
Full of emotion and suffering..
Filled with equal parts pain and love..
Both asking for your empathy
Both asking for your support
Both are complete and utter
Garbage...
Tempestad failed his trial
But instead of admitting it
Being a man
Moving forward
He curses my name
Sephiroth lies to save face
He deceives people
Abuses them
And he thinks he has the right
To tell me..
Not to do..
What God charged me to do..
Fools..
Both of you..[/b]

{Amanda slipped quietly out of Desiree's private quarters, pulling her robe up over her shoulders as if the movement pained her. She found Karras waiting for her, and wilted under his stern gaze.}
Amanda: It's not what you think, Father.
Karras: Please, Amanda, tell me what I think.
Amanda: We.. were not.. sinning, Father.
Karras: By saying that, you would have me believe that you are willfully capable of sinning in the house of God.
Amanda: Never, Father Gabriel.
Karras: That's what I thought. There is a compress in your room for you to lay down on. It will ease the discomfort some.
Amanda: Thank you.
Karras: Just know that while those out there may not approve of what you've just done, I do. And that means He does as well. Walk in His love, Amanda.
{She bowed to him, and walked off, each step making her whole body cringe.}
Karras: People like Tempestad and Sephiroth want you to believe that have such devotion. Sephiroth flaunts his affections in all our faces, almost definately, as if to scream at us to believe every lie he says is true. Tempestad willfully let the one person he loved the most walk into the den of hell and even though he knew he had the power to stop it, he couldn't find the strength.. or the will to do so. Neither of them are as devoted, or as powerful as they think they are. Sephiroth was proven not to be the invincible monster he said he was. Tempestad was proven to be a false prophet, using God's words to further himself rather than Him. But, you are only mortals.. you could not help yourselves.
{Karras leaned against the wall, waiting for something as he spoke.}
Karras: Cute story Sephiroth, but it doesn't make any difference. We all have origin stories, we all have tragedy and pain in our lives that makes us who we are. Yours has only furthered to make you a tragic deviant of a man, one who would think nothing of destroying the life of another to fulfill his own ambitions. You think that simply knowing scripture puts you anywhere near my level? Knowing and understanding are two different things, Du Lac. I do more than just read the bible. I feel the words on the page, I know the feelings of those who wrote it... God speaks to me, Sephiroth. All you have is someone else telling you what you should believe in. But I don't expect a man like you to be able to come to terms with that.
{Simple shrug}
Karras: Keep playing your games, I do not care. Continue to corrupt Maria, I do not care. You know you can be defeated, and that's what scares you the most. But I'm not out to defeat you, I'm out to destroy the ones like you. And there's nothing you can do to stop it.
{He reached a hand out and knocked on the door to Desiree's quarters.}
Karras: I'm sorry if I was unclear Tempestad. When I said you turned your back on God, it was not up for debate. You let her walk right into the darkness and shrugged, figuring God would stop her if he didn't want it to happen. You made the same mistake everyone else does, assuming God would take over for your lazy incompetance. Now look what's come about. She's lost to you, to everyone and you have nobody to blame but yourself. Don't blame me, just because I'm telling you this. I tried everything I could to push you to do what you had to do, and nothing could motivate you enough. Maybe now that you have some golden trinket to parade around you'll finally become a turncoat completely, and I would be more than happy to end that for you as well. Farewell, my friend.. you had a good run..
{Desiree opened the door, and peered out.}
Desiree: Father?
Karras: Are you decent?
Desiree: Yes.. I'm just cleaning up.
{She stepped back, and opened the door for him to slip inside. She resumed cleaning the bloody knife with a rag, as the stain remover sat on the carpet, cleaning the stains.}
Karras: Did she struggle?
Desiree: Didn't make a sound...
Karras: Perfect... She's nearly ready.
{End.}
God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness.
