I make my living off the Evening News
Just give me something-something I can use
People love it when you lose,
They love dirty laundry
Well, I coulda been an actor, but I wound up here
I just have to look good, I don't have to be clear
Come and whisper in my ear
Give us dirty laundry
Just give me something-something I can use
People love it when you lose,
They love dirty laundry
Well, I coulda been an actor, but I wound up here
I just have to look good, I don't have to be clear
Come and whisper in my ear
Give us dirty laundry
So finally, it is my inevitable promo against the hardest opponent in this whole match, Emma Danielson. Damn, I thought I would be able to escape this one without a "Emma is a man" joke, but I guess I didn't. Plus, she isn't even in this match. I guess she couldn't 'keep it up' against the division to stay in it. Ok, that's the last one, I swear! This promo isn't about manly women, it's about Tara Fenix.
Tara, I know everyone is taking the most shots at you this week, but why shouldn't we? Out of all of us, you are the most hated. You are the most egotistical. But above all else, you are the most decorated. Long before any of us even were thinking about wrestling, you were out there winning gold against men and women alike. That shows alot about your character. It shows that you are strong willed and willing to do anything to win.
But, it seems the thing you are doing to win is flawed. You went under the wing of Angel. Now, I know how good he is. He is a damn fine competitor with the heart of a champion. I will never doubt his skill and determination. You, however, are a different story. Angel was going great, and even though he will claim that he loves you, all you are doing is bogging him down. If it wasn't for you, he would still be the World Champion. If it wasn't for you, he would be happy. Now, he's stuck in this loop of hell with Alex Jones. And all of it is your fault, Tara.
That is why all of us are taking so many shots at you this week. All of us can unite under one banner of hatred against you. We all hate you because you are you. If you were anyone else in this match, you would take a back seat to say a Megan Kane or a Ashlie Ember. But you are the shining star in our night sky. You're the one who sticks out. Sure, that may seem like a compliment. But trust me, it's not. If you get pinned first in this match, don't be surprised. We will probably all team up on you first and beat you to just get you out of the way. You always take out the best one first, or the most hated one first. In this case, you're both. The most decorated and the most bitchy will lose first.
But, this goes for all of the women in this match. I will not go down without a fight. I know nobody is behind me. I am used to that. I know nobody is hoping I can win. I'm used to that too. Everyone is voting for all of you to win, but in the long run, all of them will be wrong. The more people vote and cheer against me, the more chance I have at winning. I may be the underdog, but in instances like this, the underdog had the greatest chance of winning. Everyone in my family has had to fight back against adversity. Nobody in my family was just handed anything. We all had to fight for it.
Tara, you were just given anything you wanted. Now that you're with Angel, you don't have to worry about anything. When you lose this match, all you have to do is go to Angel and have him scare management until they give you a "fair" shot at the title. Charlaine is the same way. But if she wins, Angel might just kill her for being even related to Alex Jones. Ashlie Ember, you are slightly different. But, your claim to fame is the fact that Kelly stole Adam away at the alter. In the long run, that didn't work out. Malice, the rookie, may have as big of a chance as I do. Nobody ever expects the underdog to win. Backed into a corner, we will be the most dominate. And Megan, the middle of the road girl in this match. Nobody has said anything too threatening to you because all you're worried about is sex and if you're husband can come through this week so you keep getting a bigger pay check.
So all of you can continue to talk about each others faults, but words have lost us now. It's now time to fight. It's time to back up everything we've said in these talks so far. Who will really come out on top? The smart money says Tara. The wise money says Ashlie Ember. But to tell you the truth, I am the favorite. Why would anybody expect quiet little Maria to win? I have all of the confidence and all of the skills I need to win.
One thing is going to carry me to victory over everything else. I have heart. I have a heart of gold, some might say. I don't need to bitch to win, but as long as everyone else was doing it, I might as well have fit in. I have the heart of a winner. I have the heart of a champion. All five of you lack heart. This will be your final hour. I know I can, and will, win this match. I will go onto beat Zelda Knite, and I will become the greatest nCw Women's Champion to ever walk these halls. The smart money...now says Maria Williams.
The scene opens up inside of the weight room in the backstage areas of Picture Perfect. Joe Everyman is running on the treadmill, at a rate alot faster than most people would run at. After a few moments, Maria slowly walks into the screen.
Maria Williams: Joe?
Joe keeps focusing, running at an even faster pace now.
Maria Williams: Baby?
Joe keeps running as full speed.
Maria Williams: Joe, please talk to me. I need to know what's going on.
Joe looks at Maria for a second, before going back to focus on his task.
Maria Williams: Ok...if you're not willing to talk, at least listen. I know something has been bothering you lately. Amber claims it's not me or Aurora, but deep down, I think it is. Is it?
Joe still doesn't move as he continues running at full speed.
Maria Williams: Please Joe? We need to work through this together.
Joe Everyman: Why exactly do we?
Maria Williams: Because...uh...we're in love, and that's what couples do.
Joe Everyman: Really? Because Adam Knite and Kelly were in love, and look what happened to them.
Maria Williams: ...what do you mean, Joe?
Joe clicks the slow down button as the treadmill comes to a slowing stop. He grabs onto the railing and steps off of it and stands closer to Maria.
Joe Everyman: I mean, I don't need you to solve all of my problems for me. I am a man, I can handle them myself.
Maria Williams: But...
Joe Everyman: But nothing! There is alot going on in my mind right now, and alot of it would frighten you. Trust me, it's for the best if we just let it be and let time work it out. If there is something that concerns you, I will let you know.
Maria Williams: But doesn't it concern me now?
Joe Everyman: No...this is something I have to do on my own.
Maria Williams: Can you at least tell me what it is?
Joe reaches down and grabs a water bottle and a towel off of the ground. He slings the towel over his shoulder and takes a drink of the bottle.
Joe Everyman: When the time comes...you'll know.
Maria Williams: Please Joe?
Joe then walks away from Maria to go train for his match more. Maria's expression turns to that of sadness the further away Joe walks from her.
Maria Williams: I'll always love you Joe...no matter what's going on in your head.
Maria manages to crack a small smile before looking at the treadmill. She sighs loudly enough for the camera to pick it up. She places her hand on the treadmill, where Joe's was places as well. She manages to crack a smile again before the scene fades to black.
