Everyone questions me...
It's completely natural..
They don't know...
They don't understand..
They don't know what it's like
To have a voice in your ear all the time
Telling you what He wishes...
Telling you what has to be done
And I do it..
Without regret..
Or Remorse
This is the life I was chosen for
Out of millions..
The Lord picked me.
Picked me to serve Him
Be His Hammer
Be His fist of righteousness
And all of you
Are scared.
Knowing there's nowhere to hide
Nowhere to run.
The air is thin
The walls are closing in
Repentance is the only escape
Release Sin..
Embrace Absolution.[/b]

{Karras was standing on the roof of the church, looking as though he was waiting for something. Desiree sat in the doorway that led back into church. Dark clouds were above him, and the ominous rumble of thunder was in the distance.}
Karras: Montana has never been much for rain. Third lowest in the nation, if my memory serves me correctly. That's why some people come here, some people who know that God speaks to me, come here to ask me for rain, like I'm some kind of shaman. When I don't deliver they sit and wait patiently, believing that God hasn't chosen to bless them with rain. When I do deliver, they sing my praises to the heavens for what I've given them, like I actually had anything to do with it. But you see.. Life doesn't work like that.. not anymore...
{A bolt of lightning streaks from the sky, it isn't anywhere close, but it lights up the night sky.}
Karras: Everyone I come across always tells me the same thing. God let my father get killed. God let my cat get run over by a car. God let my girlfriend walk away from me. Nobody is willing to take responsibility for themselves. Everyone's always passing the blame, believing everything should be out of their control, all while loving the free will they were handed upon creation. I suppose if that's the way they want to live, I should just let them. But I cannot...
{Suddenly, he thrusts his arms out to the side and tilted his head back, amplifying his voice to something approaching a yell.}
Karras: Ask.. and you shall receive...!
{The seconds passed, and then it began to rain. A hard driving rain that caused most people to take shelter. Desiree scooted back through the door, but Karras stood there, the water washing over him and down to the ground.}
Karras: I've asked for two things.. One, for people to accept the truth. It matters now what you call him.. God.. Allah... Jehovah.. those're just names, people need to accept the reality of how they came to be, how things came about.. and what your responsibility is as a human being. I accept my failings, trying to lead by example.. Tempestad should have done the same. He has not, and I know he will not. The time has come to beg your Lord thy God for forgiveness Tempestad. You and I are placed above them. Seperated from the masses because of the task we were charged with. The Savior spoke of loving one another, because the people he was speaking to were full of disdain. They could be saved. Sephiroth and those like him, those who are full of pure hatred, cannot be. The God who forgives people who lament, is the same as the one who condemns the irrevocably damned to suffer for all eternity. We were granted the widsom and the judgement to know the difference.
{Karras turned to the camera as it closed in, his cold eyes gazing lifelessly into the lens.}
Karras: The second thing I've asked for.. was the monster. I told you to bring the devil to my doorstep Sephiroth. I wanted your full power, so I could crush it in the name of the Lord. All you gave me was vague threats and idle promises. I see nothing about you that tells me anything has changed. Nothing about you is any more impressive than it has been before. Your mask has fallen askew Sephiroth, your mortality revealed no matter how you try to conceal it. And I intend to drive the stake through you the second I get the chance. And I promise you, no matter how painful it is... it will be far less than you actually deserve.
{He turned away from the camera, and it zoomed back out. Desiree stood up, and started to make her way carefully across the roof.}
Karras: Careful, Sister...
Desiree: Come inside Father. The rain is cold...
Karras: The rain is comforting...
Desiree: It is.. but..
Karras: Your concern is admirable, Desiree.
Desiree: You saved me, Father.. I don't want to lose you...
{Slowly, he turned to her, then he closed the few feet between them. He took her by the arm, anc carefully led her back into the church.}
