Freakke sat on a Carnival themed throne in the center of an old decrepit Merry-Go-Round. The light made only his painted smile visible while his eyes still shown brightly. Even in this dark and gloomy setting they held a joyous brightness.
"Ladies and gentlemen, cretins one and all, this is my last chance to convey to you my thoughts about my match on the night of Ascension. This is my last chance before Sunday to talk with you and discuss whats going to happen. It's the last chance I have to warn you of how totally awesome this match will be, how badly I will beat my opponents in it, and that somewhere in this building is a monkey from the Great Big Smile Traveling Circus. Yeah...that's actually why I'm in here..."
He got up and dusted himself off. He hopped down off of the ride and and the camera panned. The scene brightened instantly as the carnival appeared well lit and almost operational. A couple of carnies were helping Freakke look for the missing ape as he filmed his promo but no one seemed too worried.
"Yeah...apparently they were in town and I happen to owe quite a few favors so I got volunteered to watch Chester. Apparently he can open his cage. Dave, if you're watching this, way to tell a guy the monkey opens the FREAKING CAGE DOOR!!!"
He regained his composure and he shook his head. His Ringmasters attire got dusted as he held his hand up almost comedically to look around.
"Alright, you, without the name tag, go check the Corn Dog stands. We all know he'll head there eventually. Harry, you go see if he's flirting with the giraffe again. I'll keep looking around here."
The carnies nodded and went off in two directions as Freakke sat down.
"Speaking of monkey's, I'm dealing with two on Sunday. Seth Evans and James Franklin Karn. Well, Seth's been pretty quiet this week so I expect some kind of cheap ass stunt from him. nCw's resident Dead President said something about how I wasn't gonna get another 1,2,3 on him. Hey, wake up Jimmy Boy, I don't have to pin you this Sunday to win. Hell, I could pin the hell out of you this weekend and it wouldn't help me at all. Oh and the comment about brown nosing still stands. You might try to justify it, but your still sticking your face up the boss's crack and giving a big sloppy kiss while your there."
He looked around a bit thinking he heard something but he shrugged it off. Chester the monkey appeared on the right side of the screen behind Freakke a good ways.
"Now, one could say, that's all that needs said but again I come to the fact that this is my first Assault X type match. I understand it is similar to a ladder match. I also understand that ladders are illegal. More or less the rigging they're setting up is like a set of monkey bars. Now, I've never been that great with monkey bars. One might call that a disability for me in this match. Well, truth be told, I never got good with the monkey bars for a simple reason. All the kids I knew went under them. I always walked on top of them. Perks of being a Ring Master's grandson one might say. I learned all kinds of stuff. Acrobatics, magic, tom foolery, and my dear god, theatrics. Always theatrics. Well, at home anyways."
Chester closed in on Freakke and looked at the clown who seemed not to notice. He sat down next to him and the corndog in his left hand went into his mouth.
"I will never lie about this, but while my Grandfather has had a huge impact on my life, my career, and this of course..."
He motioned to his almost cartoonish appearance and smiled warmly.
"I have always been a wrestler. Sunday I'm going to prove that that is as much a part of my life as the clown is. So, who wants to hear about Seth and Karn?"
Chester got up after finishing the corndog and scratched his side. Freakke took his hat off and held it in front of himself. Chester saw this and mimiced it with nothing in his hands as if he were doing something show related.
"Seth, this thing between you and me needs to end. If you want a shot at the belt, then put up, shut up, and let us all get on with our lives. Otherwise, get the hell in the back of line and let someone else have go round with me. Personally, I'm sick of your whining. That said, your silence this week has been a pretty great break from your mouth."
Freakke set the hat down to his hat down to his left and crossed his legs. Chester copied this pattern.
"James, your not so high on my **** list which grows longer every day unfortunately. Your still a thorn in my side that's getting a little irritable too. Now, there's a concern about the Darkside Society and the Front Office but to be honest, this one is just us. No interference, no help, nothing tieing us to our stables or teams for just a moment. It's you, me, and numbnuts. Now, when I saw your last promo, I was slightly annoyed by most of what you said, the fan argument, wanting the belt ya ain't getting, and a lot of things about being the best of the best, but what really got to me was the comment about out freaking the freak. You don't know psycho yet pal."
Freakke's smile broadened just before he burst out laughing and fell over on his side. The monkey looked down at him and didn't know what to do. Freakke got up and looked back at the camera and had to stifle his laughter.
"That's good...it ain't happenin but that's good. James, you haven't seen crazy yet. Your not even a tenth of the way to out crazy me at my maddest. You'd be better of just doing what you always do and boring everyone to sleep with your chat about crowns and kings and world domination. Seriously, how trite is that?"
Freakke sat back down and laced his fingers. Chester did the same as Freakke continued.
"Besides, you're really beginning to piss me off. Dissing me is one thing, dissing the fans is the straw line for me as a number of people can tell you. Jimmy, they say a lot of things about you, but I'm gonna add another one to your list. You're about to lose."
Freakke then suddenly looked to his right side and wasn't surprised by the form of Chester.
"I really hate mimes so knock it off."
The monkey stopped and Freakke continued.
"Seth, James, Chester, your all starting to annoy me. Knock the **** off. James and Seth with your cocky ass attitudes and YOU!"
He pointed sharply at the chimp.
"Quit freaking cheating at cards! I found the Ace under the Water Bowl."
Chester dropped his head and Freakke rubbed his head.
"Nah we're cool. JFK and Evans, no, we're not cool. I'm sick of dealing with Seth and his crap and I'm really sick of nCw's resident Dead President and his whole group of pals. So bring it on boys. If you want this belt, your gonna have to fight for it. Your gonna have to fight me and I am one crazy SoB. Bring it little bitches. Bring the pain and get ready to be hurt like never before. I'm about to kill your ego's."
Freakke smiled and Chester jumped on his back as he stood up. He adjusted for the extra weight and waved the camera good bye as they left.
"C'mon Ches, we're gonna get some corndogs here and then we gotta get you back to the tents. You're on tonight."
