Well, it's that time again, the NFL season kicks off tomorrow, so, dispite it beting literally the day before, here' how I see it.
AFC EAST
1: New England Patriots - 10-6
This will be the last year, IMO, that the Pats run the table in the AFC east. The east is getting too tough and the Pats aren't getting younger.
2: New York Jets - 9-7
The Jets are everyone's super bowl pick for some odd reason. I don't see the Jets as as good as that. Their defense is still solid, but Mark Sanchez is still a weak link. And they will be without Santonio Holmes unitl week 5.
3: Miami Dolphins - 8-8
The Dolphins and Jets could easily trade places given the similarities, but the Jets have a better defense, and the Fins don't have the offense outside Ronnie Brown, Chad Henne needs a great year, but the Fins looked sloppy in the pre-season.
4: Buffalo Bills - 2-14
The Bills are in the unfortunate spot of being in a crazy hard division and not doing anything to improve their disposition. It's sad to see this team anymore. At least, they'll be in the running for the no.1 pick.
AFC NORTH
1: Baltimore Ravens - 11-5
Joe Flacco, Ray Rice, and Anquan Boldin, along with that Raven Defense? It's hard to bet against them. Barring injury, these guys are pretty much a lock.
2: Cinncinatti Bengals - 10-6
They added T.O., and Carson Palmer may be retuning to form. But the defense is still not good enough to overtake the Ravens.
3: Pittsburgh - 8-8
No Big Ben in the first four games. Questionable running game. Are the Steelers legit anymore? They'll still be good enough to go .500 and possibly make the playoffs.
4: Cleveland Browns - 4-12
In the same boat as Buffalo, this Division is stiff, and Cleveland is lacking the talent to keep up.
AFC SOUTH
1: Indianapolis Colts - 12-4
Much like the Pats, their division is getting tough but they still have the edge. I can't bet against Peyton Manning.
2: Houston Texans - 8-8
They have all the talent, but they seem to fail for some reason, and this year will be no different.
3: Tennesee Titans - 7-9
Like a madden nation player said when playing with Tennesee, "I got Chris Johnson" but when the biggest question about Tennesee is Chris Johnson will rush for 2,000 years, I'm not hopeful.
4: Jacksonville Jaguars - 5-11
Outside of Maurice Jones-Drew, the Jags are not really a threat to make a big move this year. They may be a couple of players away, but I don't know who they are.
AFC WEST
1: San Diego Chargers - 12-4
This is by default, nobody else is good enough. Even without LT and Vincent Jackson, the Chargers should still be able to run the table.
2: Denver Broncos - 7-9
I could have put them at 9-7, but I don't have that much faith in Kyle Orton, and the Denver defense. I just don't see it. Eddie Royal has dissapeared, and Brandon Marshall is gone.
3: Kansas City Chiefs - 4-12
It's a toss-up between these guys and the Raiders, But I think the Chiefs are slightly better. Not that it's saying much. But Adding Thomas Jones may make them a little better.
4: Oakland Raiders - 3-13
They at least saw the light and dumped JaMarcus Russel. But is Jason Campbell the answer? I doubt it.
NFC EAST
1: Dallas Cowboys 12-4
I'm beginning to wonder how much longer I can put Dallas here. They win the division and lose in the playoffs. If they don't win this year, I won't put them at the top anymore.
2: New York Giants - 10-6
I'm banking of the G-men D returning to form, and they're offense isn't half bad either. Steve Smith, Hakeem Nicks and Mario Manningham are pretty damn good.
3: Philidelphia Eagles 8-8
I'll give Kolb the benefit of the doubt and say he plays well. I just don't think it'll be good enough for more than a .500 finish. Can anyone spell Brian Westbrook?
4: Washington Redskins - 5-11
Somebody on NFL network said these guys will go 14-2. Ha! This is a team of old free agents, with a 33 year old QB and a 38 yr old reciever and a suspect defense.
NFC NORTH
1: Green Bay Packers - 13-3
If Chris Johnson doesn't rush for 2,000 yards, Aaron Rodgers will be MVP. He could seriously pass for 5,000 yards. Sam still sucks for picking him 1st in the fantasy draft.
2: Minnesota Vikings - 9-7
They've lost both Percy Harvin and Sidney Rice, I don't think AP, as great as he is, can put the team on his back enough for a NFC North title, let alone a superbowl run. Plus, Brett Favre is the the QB.
3: Chicago Bears - 4-12
This team is bad. An old defense, a suspect QB, no true no.1 reciever and an overrated RB. I can't justify winning playing the NFC East this year.
4: Detriot Lions - 4-12
The Lions are at least taking steps in the right direction. They're going to have the ROY RB Javiad Best and are good for a few upset wins.
NFC SOUTH
1: New Orleans Saints - 12-4
There isn't any reason they won't be as good as last year. They're still the team to beat in the entire NFC. I doubt they'll repeat thought.
2: Atlanta Falcons 10-6
If they weren't in the same division with the Saints, they would be a lot better. Matt Ryan is coming into his own, and they have Michael Turner and a ever improving defense. A dark horse pick for sure.
3: Carolina Panthers - 6-10
I can't really say much about Matt Moore, but DeAngelo Williams and Johnathan Stewart are both very good. And that Steve Smith guy too. But the Defense will miss Julius Peppers, and may not recover
4: Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 3-13
They too are making steps but not for another 2-3 years will they get back to super bowl form. A reciever is needed, and I don't think they'll get it this year.
NFC WEST
1: San Francisco 49ers - 11-5
I'll put it here, the 49ers will shock a lot of people this year. Their division sucks, but they're a lot better than their division would show. Mike Singletary is making a believer out of me.
2: Arizona Cardinals - 9-7
With the amount of talent they have on offense, even Derek Anderson can make something happen. But let's not crown him Kurt Warner Jr. just yet. Benie Wells is poised for a good year.
3: St. Louis Rams - 6-10
If Sam Bradford is half as good as his contract says, The rams could be a problem in a couple of years. Also, Steven Jackson is a beast. They have a young, improving defense as well.
4: Seattle Seahawks - 5-11
I doubt Pete Carrol can turn around Seattle, having dumped T.J. Housamizode and depending on a 235 pound First round bust, and old as dirt deion branch and Justin Forsett and an average defense.
