{Ricky rushes down to the baseement.}
RICKY - Did you find her?
DELPHI - Not exactly, we did a review of a survilence camera outside that bar. We got the license plate on the car, which both Roxi and Sheamus were in. Shatter is hot on the trail.
RICKY - ...
DELPHI - What?
RICKY - That's all?
DELPHI - At the moment, yes.
RICKY - You told Edward you had something.
DELPHI - So? This is big.
RICKY - That is NOTHING.
DELPHI - These things take time.
RICKY - You know what? Do me a favor, unless you find my wife. DO NOT CALL ME DOWN HERE AGAIN!
DELPHI - ....Fine.
{Ricky turns to leave.}
DELPHI - Ricky?
{He turns back}
DELPHI - ....I'm sorry. Shatter will find her.
{Ricky laughs to himself.}
RICKY - ... Yeah. I'm sure.

LOCATION: BAYSHORE BLVD. TAMPA, FLORIDA.
TIME: 3:45AM
{The road is long, streching along the actual Tampa bay. The place is pretty much deserted, with only a few dim lights lit. A fog rolls in off the water. We focus on the beach off the road where Ricky Johnson is standing, stoic aside from the slight breeze moving his hair. The incoming tide washes against him, but he pays it no mind. He wears a black bubble vest over a long sleeve shirt, and jeans. A beanie covers his head. He just stares out into the water.}
"Enjoying the scene? I hope so. You're probably wondering why we're even here. Well, this is where I come to be alone. The beach. At 4am. No traffic on the streets, no fans asking me for autographs or pictures. It's just me. By myself. Not even Roxi knows about this place."
{The camera gets closer to Ricky but he fails to notice them. Either that, or he's ignoring them.}
"You might even be saying it's WAY too early in the week for Ricky Johnson to put out his promo. But you all know me. I'm just full of suprsises."
{Ricky's hands, which were originally by his sides, now plunge into his pockets. He continues to stare out at the water.}
"I'm full of memories too. I can remember winning the National title from Milo Holland. A title I get a shot to try to win back this Sunday. Those were the days. Everything was simple. Just the two of us."
{Ricky looks down at the waves crashing against his bare feet.}
"I can see her footprints right here in the sand. Yup. She's here. Or at least she was. I can tell."
{He looks back up}
"But just like her footprints in the sand, it's all washing away. Soon it will be gone, like everything else."
{The camera is directly at Ricky's back}
"But some things, not matter how much everything else changes, remain the same."
Ricky's hands exit his pockets, he sighs, and he turns around.}
RICKY - Well, I guess it's that time isn't it? Another nCw pay-per-view with Ricky Johnson on the card, in an important match. No real change there. Ricky Johnson faces two nCw wrestlers both of whom are extremely talented. No change there either. But you know what's always going to be the same?
You.
You so-called experts of this wrestling business. You never change. Because no matter how many times I'm put in these types of situations, no matter the odds against me....You don't change. No matter how many times I've risen to the occasion, beaten those odds, stepped it up, whatever you want to call it, it's always the same.
YOU DOUBT ME.
You all make it seem like I continue to win by a string of flukes and luck. Like all my opponents just phone it in against me. Like they take pity on me. Like all my title reigns where nothing.
And it hasn't changed.
This match, Sunday, against Xavier Williams and Jason Blair. For whatever reason, they all doubt me. No one picked me to win this match, as if they forgot who I am, and what I do.
{He pauses, laughing to himself for a moment.}
RICKY - But you know what, I'm used to it. This will just be more proof against the experts claims. When I do what I've been doing for years now, You'll all get real quiet when the nights over.
But it won't change anything.
Look at how my opponents feel. Xavier Williams and Jason Blair. Xavier and myself have been here a long time. We've beat each other up, and teamed up from time to time, thus is the nature of the business. But yeah, even a person I thought would know better, He blindly listens and agrees. Didn't you hear him?
"..you are one of the best, but... one of the most inconsistent, every time we think we are gonna see Ricky break that glass ceiling and claim that rightful place he does at the top with others like Falcon, Adam Knite, Angel... hell even Steve Awesome... you seem to fade away, you seem to fail at pulling that trigger and cashing in on that unlimited potential and sooner of later you get bored, you get tired of when it's gonna happen... but if its gonna happen ever. Johnson becomes the hot name and almost as soon as he's on fire, he's cold again... then you vanish..."
RICKY - Xavier, I have nothing but respect for you, but I can even dignify this statement. I expected more from someone like you. But you've just made me look like a bad judge of character. I suppose, for the 100th time, I'll tell you, and everyone else: I am the 1st man to hold 4 seperate nCw titles. Did any of the people you just named do that?
No.
I would think that qualifies me as a "player" if you will. But that's not good enough for you, is it Xavier? No, no, you've got to push further, you think I fade away. Is that right? You know where I don't fade away? You know where I don't dissapear?
On Pay-Per-View.
Which is where this match takes place. So don't believe the fairytales about Ricky Johnson, Xavier. I've made a career out of beating people who do. And I will bring you crashing back down to reality like all the others.
{Ricky pauses a moment, inhales, and exhales both very deep.}
RICKY - Now, let me move on to Mr. Jason Blair. Quite possibly the biggest fraud I've ever seen in my life. But I won't dwell on it too much. I know almost nothing about Jason Blair. Which, judging by his promo skills, isn't a big deal. Because the best he could come up with was to describe me as "cocky", and "over-confident". While amusing, What he said afterward, was not.
I tried to make this professional, because that's what it should be. I wasn't going to really go after Jason Blair too badly. But you had to go there didn't you? You had to just make on snide comment didn't you? I actually had some semblence of respect for you, but no.
You make a comment about my wife.
You can laugh it off as touching a nerve. Go ahead. You did. You pushed the right button. You've got me wanting to take your head off this Sunday. But the thing is Jason:
I can do it.
If you think for one solitary second that I will just chalk that up to "smack talk" you're wrong. If you think I'm gonna let that slide, you're wrong. I'm going to make an example out of you this Sunday. What I'm going to do to you isn't going to touch a nerve or push anyone's buttons. No.
It's going to be unlawful.
For those of you who remember what I can do to people, let me bring back other memories: I retired a man in the middle of the ring. I shortned the career of another in the same ring. And those two guys, I liked. But I don't like you Blair. From your comments to your unbelieveably phony "conversion". Yeah, I said it. Because it's the truth.
{Ricky pauses as waves crash against the shore.}
RICKY - Would a man of god ever claim to be his "enforcer? That sounds a lot like intolerance, something god is against. Would a man of god use him like a crutch like you seem to be doing? Have you built this imaginary wall around you now? Has Jason Blair become holier than everyone? Why? Because you follow a book, which if followed to a T would be completely ridiculious? Because you follow that book, you're somehow better than everyone, is one of the biggest loads I've ever heard. But you know what? It doesn't even matter.
{He pauses and composes himself.}
RICKY - Gentlemen, You both asked me for the same thing, which is leading me to question you both. Are you sure? Are you sure you want MY "A" game? I'll take that challenge. Because Sunday is another proving ground for me. I have to, for some reason, constantly prove myself. So, those so called "experts" will get more proof. So, yeah, you'll both get my "A" game Sunday. Consider this little talk the "C" game. Hope you can keep up.
And no, that's not a threat. It's just the truth, and this Sunday, the truth won't be the only thing that HURTS.
