We open up once again on that funny TV set where we record the 'Gun Show.' There is a desk and with a couch off to the right of it and behind them is a set of ring ropes that runs across the screen. There is a back ground of a screaming crowd. MIA's "Swagger Like Us" begins to play in a little bit of a change and Kanye West's voice blasts over the speakers as Venom makes his way out to the center of the stage with his head down and a hooded trench coat covering his body. When he reaches his mark the music stops and simultaneously he throws off his hood and drops his trench coat to the ground and throws his arms out. He is grinning from ear to ear as the applause machine goes nuts.
"Finally, I have overcome the vicious cycle that has been holding me down for the last few weeks and for the first time since starting this little show I join you today as a winner. Not only that, but this episode marks the one month anniversary of the show and our first ever pay per view preview spectacular!"
The applause machine is once again set in uproar mode as Venom bows to the crowd.
"Yes, it is very exciting indeed and thanks to my Emmy nominated performance in the ring, I have been rewarded with the opportunity to gain an opportunity."
Venom pauses and scratches his head.
"That didn't sound right to me. Let's just make it simple. Thanks to my huge victory over one half of the tag team champions and some chick whose name escapes me I have been given a chance to become number one contender to the X Championship."
More applause as Venom throws his arms out mockingly soaking in the love from the "crowd" that isn't there.
"The funny thing is, I don't even know what the X Championship is. Did they take the Division out of the X Division Championship just to shorten it? They could mean the Xtreme Championship but they just shortened it for time constraints? I have no clue, but whatever belt I am going after I promise to dominate the competition and earn my shot fair and square. I don't care who it is that gets in my way."
"If former World Champion Xavier Williams thinks that just because he beat me for the Honor Championship that he can do it again, well, he can think again. I have refined my technique and have been training with the best trainers money can buy since that match. It may not have shown in the ring just yet, but I am on the brink of mastering my new style of wrestling and Xavier Williams won't know what hit him. I am a changed man since the last time we met, and this time Williams won't be able to catch me slipping and steal a victory from me."
"If the most decorated non World Champion wants to step up and try to stop me he to can get taught a lesson. The lesson is simple, no one cares what I've done in the past therefore I don't care what you've done in the past. People want to throw out all the time that Ricky Johnson has won every championship this company has except for the World Championship, but all that matters to me is what he's done lately, and lately, he's lost to my best friend and Brother-in-Law. So that gives me all kinds of insight into the mind of Ricky Johnson that none of my other competitors may have on him. See, all I have to do is take this phone out of my pocket, hit voice dial, and call Charlie right up. Within minutes I'll have a plan laid out to beat Ricky Johnson from someone who has beaten him recently, not a year old video montage of his past losses like the rest of my opponents."
"If I have to too, I will take a cab to whatever hospital they're keeping Hugo Conway in and I'll stop at the gift shop. I'll buy him some flowers and a get well card and proceed to his room. Once there I will hand the card and flowers to his Uncle. I will then proceed to walk into that room and kick his sorry ass right off that hospital bed and show him that he never had a chance anyway. You see, I'm more like Doctor House then one of those broads from Grays Anatomy, I have no bed side manner."
Venom pauses for a moment.
"I apologies people, I have gone a little off script from the normal Gun Show layout, but I am just pumped up a little this week. This has been a long Road to the Gold and even though my horse in this race fell short I have been rewarded with a shot to bring more Gold into the Young Guns. It has been far to long that the Young Guns have been held back from an opportunity at reclaiming out Championships. You see, JFK never got his rematch and has been out on injury since he lost his title. Charlie was thrown into this Tournament and he ran with it and nearly won, but because of it he never got his rematch for the Championship that he didn't even get pinned for. Then there is me and Doc. We fought long and hard to make this Tag Division relevant again and we aren't even granted a shot to win the belts back. Instead this rookie duo get a shot at Blood Ties before us. NCW Brass won't let me and Doc do what we want to do in the Tag Division so I will take it upon myself to do it in whatever division this X Championship falls under. I am pumped because it is my time to shine people. It's time to put that spotlight back onto the Young Guns where it right fully belongs."
He calms down and takes a few deep breaths.
"We'll be back with last weeks high lights and more on this Pay Per View preview month Anniversary special after these words."
To be Continued.
