OPENING
Another week, and another exciting edition to my weekly column.. “The Knitelife” for you fans to enjoy. It was a semi-sweet week for me, sure I lost thanks to that d-bag Venom, but I also got to see Zelda have her title shot taken from her by her friends. Seeing the crushed look on her face when she was told she would never be allowed to fight for the World title, and then the look when she agreed to give the shot she did have to Velez... oh man... priceless! That was almost worth getting the hell beat out of me all over again.... ok not really.
With some other great news, I’d like to point out that this makes the third straight week I’ve been booked in a match, and that Adam pulled off a huge victory in the main event! I’m proud of my man, even if he refuses to choke the life out of his sister for me. Isn’t that just awesome?! You get to see me wrestle, you get to see Adam kick ass, and all is right with the world. The only downfall is we still have to listen to Venom and his God awful crime against humanity Gun Show every week still, but I can live with it I guess.
Now, onto the polls! This past week it was over the biggest story going on in NCW right now and of course just like every time I make a poll with a Young Guns option, they won it. This time however... it’s pretty well deserved, I mean it is compelling watching the three of them make their bids for the world title and now it seems to be over unless some other corky shenanigans are up their sleeves. So obviously... it’s not over. It’s a story that I’m sure a lot of people are following, especially after their attack on yours truly and I can’t really fault anybody for voting for it, even if I would of given the nod to DDK going around banging people myself.
Now this week, I'm going to break down and do a poll over Awesome Love so Jayson Matthews will quit freaking calling me all the time asking me to promote it. So as we learned this past week Andrea Jacobsen is on the show, what do you think about this? What are your thoughts about Andrew's mom being on Awesome Love?
WEEK IN REVIEW
I personally thought we had some good shows the past week, both Collision and Trauma were packed full of action and really just felt like great shows to me. I’ve generally been down on Trauma the past couple of weeks and I’ve voiced that opinion but like I promised, it was back and had some fantastic action this week that I say was right there with Collision once again.
Trauma started off with a huge three way match that saw the upstart Lex Sense come through with a victory over two of NCW’s best and after that point, things never slowed down for our “b” show. We got to see Chuck Moss get defeated at the hands of Homeless Harold and probably the match of the night, if not the entire week... Freakke taking on Steve Awesome. Those two really put on a show for the fans and Freakke gave Awesome everything he could handle. Then of course we got to see D-Bag and Brad Kane go at it in a hardcore match, those two had seen a lot of each other the past couple of weeks and it really showed in their match. It was like they knew what to expect, they knew what they were getting and both worked their butts off for the victory, which is why it was a great main event. So overall, yes, I’m very pleased with Trauma this week and this is a good way for the show to go after the little speed bump the week before.
Now of course, where would we be without me mentioning the real meaty show that we produce every week. Collision was set up to be an amazing show, there is no questioning that fact. We had matches like two Gladiators opening the show in Will Wash and Dave Holland, a National title match between Blair and Falcon and that huge main event featuring three former World champions and Ander Carvetti. How could a show set up like that fail? Well it didn’t, but it sure didn’t live up to the hype though. Not with Chuck Moss deciding to come out an ruin the National title match, not with Venom deciding to screw me over in my match, and not with seeing Alex Jones beaten up backstage by a mystery assailant. Don’t get my wrong here, I’m not saying the show was bad, but I’m just trying to point out that it may have been a little bit of a let down after all the incredibly hyped matches that were lined up. The Main Event was kind of short thanks to DDK triping up Angel for some reason, the National title match didn’t get to end, and that Gladiator match could of been better.
Overall the shows were you standard NCW action, however I really wish something would of stood out more, something big would of went on, it all just felt kinda drab and I hate to say it but the most interest thing happening this week other then my story, was probably Steve Awesome quitting Awesome Love, only to come back when he hears the news of Andrew Jacobsen’s mom being on the show... Interesting. I’ll have to give everything a B- this week.
THE FAB FIVE
5. Jack Manson:: My husband and him are fighting, that wont’ stop me from giving him his props when they are due. Ricky Johnson is one of the best and Jack Manson beat him. Manson has been on a roll since he came back, and like I said, his loses since coming back have been the result of his tag team partners taking the fall.
4. Steve Awesome:: The show seems to be distracting Steve some from his day job of being a wrestler. He’s struggled some in recent weeks, but this week he puts it together and really comes out and picks up a huge win over the most recent former National champion.
3. Lex Sense:: He continues to show that he’s on fire right now with that huge victory he picked up against my boys Joe Ragnal and Andrew Jacobsen. Those are two of my favorite wrestlers on the roster and Sense showed some great ability in being able to pick up that victory.
2. Dave Holland:: Will Washington has taken a few weeks off to heal a few nagging injuries but he’s still a deadly opponent when he faces anybody. Dave Holland comes out and proves why he’s still the world champion though with an impressive victory.
1. Adam Knite:: I know... I jipped everybody last week when I put myself as the top performer and seeing Adam here probably doesn’t look good, but hey... he’s my man and he won that Collision main event. Even with DDK making a bone headed move, it was still impressive in my eyes. Then of course, I am bias.
PREVIEW OF THIS WEEK
Last week I promised that Trauma would be way more exciting and it turned out to be true, and this week I’m going to promise both shows are going to be fantastic heading into Breaking Away. We’ve got some really fantastic matches that you definitely will not want to miss here.
Trauma of course will bring you the exciting action of me and Zelda teaming up to take on Roxxxie and Trish Newborn, no I’m not excited at all about teaming with the Pixelated Twat, but hey, it’s a match and I’m giong to go out there and try to win. Trauma as a whole though, just looks great, with Andrew jacobsen taking on Ander Carvetti one on one and with Total Eclipse opening the show, there is going to be a lot to like about Trauma this week.
Collision looks pretty good two, also featuring two big time tag team matches this week. The first of which is the four people who have been in this National title fiasco picking partners and squaring off against the other two men. Then we have our Main Event with Charlie Velez teaming with Joe Everyman. That is going to be an interesting match simply because it was Joe Everyman who screwed Charlie at the War Fare match a couple of months ago and I’m sure Velez is still not happy about it.
Generally speaking here, both shows are going to be very good so make sure you tune in and catch the action this week ok? I promise you won’t be disappointed.
WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON
:: Freakke and Falcon vs. Blair and Moxx :: I really shouldn’t have to explain this one, if you’ve been following NCW action at all you should know why this is going to be a huge match. There is a lot of weird stuff going around this National title, it’s going to be amazing to see what this match does to resolve it. If anything at all.
:: Hell’s Keeper :: Who? I don’t blame you for not know, I barely do. So why put him in here? Simple, because he’s had one match.. which he lost to Jason Evans and he’s already being thrown against one of NCW’s best. This is a match where even if he loses, he has a great opportunity to make a name for himself, and lets be frank here... nobody is going to pick him to win this match. Now the question is what can he do to really grab people’s attentions? We’ll see.
:: Maniac vs. Lex Sense :: Finally the moment is here where the two masked psycopaths square off in an Honor match for the Honor title. This is going to be very interesting, simply because they seem like the least likely of anybody on the roster to fight in an honor match, let alone be honor champion.
:: Charlie Velez :: Well, he finally got that world title shot he’s been whining for, now the question is what will he do now? He’s got Milo this week in a tag team match, in preperation for the big match against Dave at Breaking Away... if he can’t get through Milo, then how does he expect to get through the Champ, this is a must win match for Velez here.
PREDICTIONS
Last Week’s Record:: 9-4 :: Good solid week, got over twice as many right as I did wrong, I’ll always take that and run with it.
Overall Record:: 270-152 :: My record gets better and better every week. This week I’m staying at about my 64% correct predictions record.

THE KNITELINE
Freakke, The Van
With the Young Guns, the Rat Pack, and Jason Blair all trying to do their own thing and play by their own rules, do you think Gib'll be able to reign it all in? Being the 'Sheriff' and all I mean. All kinds of respect for a guy who tries to keep the rules enforced around here and for a former nCw Champion in various divisions, but is he able to handle this all, especially since its happening all at once?
:: I think if anybody can handle a crazy situation like this it would be Gib, because Gib is a hot head, he's one of the types where if you keep refusing to listen to him, he'll just fire you on the spot and not give a damn.
Patricia Newborne; San Diego, California
With the Rat Pack adding in Roxxxie, do you find it giving them the advantage in women matches by adding her? Personally, I think they could have done a little better when choosing someone for their little Rat Pack group. Someone stronger in the division like Zelda, or Emma. I refuse to believe Zelda is really going to push for a world title run, in the male division none-the-less. Zelda will be back.
:: Well Zelda is firmly in the grasps of the Young Guns, and I really don't see her siding with the Rat Pack... she really likes those guys even the ones how are currently away from NCW like Doc and JFK. I think Roxxxie is actually a perfect fit for them, i don't know about her winning the title, but she fits them.
Emma Danielson; Brooklyn Park, MN
What's with all these wrestlers writing in to the Kniteline? It's just weird.
:: It is a little weird. I think they are just getting more comfortable with my column and more willing to ask questions for it.
Dave T Zombie, K-Town
So whats the big problem with the Young Guns and the Rat Pack? There've been worse events that had less press.
:: I'm not sure what you're getting at... they've been big jerks and people have noticed, that's pretty much the beginning and ending of it.
Dexter Davis: San Diego, Cali
"Yo, what y'all think of the lack of brothers in nCw?
Nah I'm playin'. When the hell are my boys Brad and Evan gettin' a tag title shot? Seriously, them dudes are awesome."
:: Should be very soon, i'm thinking after this Rat Pack and Blood Ties thing is settled.
Definitely Not Charlie Velez Under Any Circumstances
Not Chicago, Illinois...uh...Minneapolis, Minnesota!
How come all the fans want to know about are the Young Guns? I mean, they're bad people who are just running all over this company. Soon, I have a feeling they'll take over this show. Your thoughts?
:: Over my dead body they will. That'll never happen as long as there is a breath in my chest.
George, Idaho
What the heck is going on between Karras and Everyman? I thought for sure they'd end everything in a steel cage but now I hear they'll be on opposing sides again this week. What will these two have to do to end this blood feud?
:: I have no idea... I lost track of what was going on between these two a long time ago. First maria is there, then she isn't now she hates him... I just don't know.
Simon Says, west hollywoood
"Hey Kelly when is Gib going to hire Angel and Alex Jones to eradicate the rat pack and the young guns?....."
:: Tough luck seeing him fight the Young Guns, that's his daughter that he hasn't known for almost 20 years on their team. He wouldn't do anything to strain that relationship even more.
J.B., Louisville, Kentucky
With regards to the Rat Pack, can they handle another go in the ring with Blood Ties? How would they compare against potential tag teams in nCw?
Also, of the three members, which one strikes you as being the most successful in the long run, assuming they don't get fired first?
:: I think they can handle another match, and I think they'd have a good shot of pulling off a huge upset. I also think Ander Carvetti has the brightest future here from what I've seen thus far.
MY CLOSING THOUGHTS
:: Venom is a douche bag. Really he is... after I support them for weeks, they attack me and then he has to go and ruin my chance for revenge against Zelda, well guess what I’m not done with her yet, so ha.
:: Like I said on the show, there is nothing between DDK and Adam that I know about, it’s completely random. I mean seriously...
:: Nobody has any idea who it was that attacked Alex Jones backstage, the Rat Pack aren’t the type to be secretive about their actions, they want people to notice them. This doesn’t seem like they’re MO.
:: Andrew Jacobsen has been on somewhat of a losing streak lately, I really hope he finds a way to dig himself out of this hole. It’s hard sometimes, but I have trust in him.
:: Speaking of Andrew Jacobsen... ha ha ha... I still can’t believe his mom is on Awesome Love.
Well that’s all I have for you this week fans, I hope you enjoyed it as always and until next time...
