{The shot opens up on the top of the ramp inside an empty arena. The cameraman makes his way to the ring. As it reaches the steps we can see that inside a projector is centered in the middle of the ring. In front of the projector is a white screen. The cameraman enters the ring and positions himself in front of the screen. A gloved hand comes from nowhere to turn the projector on. The sounds of rolling film begins to overtake the arena.}

EVERYMAN'S CURSE
{The title is displayed on the center of the screen. Then a picture of a beautiful woman comes from behind the words to settle in front of them. Filmed in real life she goes form living, breathing to animated. She begins to speak in a cold monotone British accent.}
Lady: Joe Everyman. "The Vengeful One". On a mission to save the one he loves. The one that does not want him back. Once you were a warrior on the rise but lately, you have begun to flounder.
{The voice is accompanied by images of Everyman's glory days. Matches he's won and battles he's fought. The pictures then change up to show his wedding and the hopeful moments he shared with his wife.}
Lady: Unable to comprehend the reasons to your downfall. You look to blame someone other than yourself.
{A picture of Karras comes on screen as a shot of their wedding picture is torn apart. Separating the married couple.}
Lady: It's your own mistakes that have caused your downfall. This is a story of how Sense sees you though his eyes.
{The screen becomes a warp of sorts as the image being shown by the projector goes from real to animated. Think A Scanner Darkly.}
Lady: A man has lived his life in the gutter.
{A man is kicking away at dirt. A scrawny man with weak little girlie arms.}
Lady: Spent his whole life toiling in feces. Not really amounting to anything. When all of a sudden he began to work at a gym.
{It shows the man shaking hands with an older gentleman. Then he begins to use the gyms equipment and bags to work out. His muscles begin rippling as if over night.}
Lady: He finally began to resemble a man, and a career followed.
{The man now muscular is shown walking into the ring and dropping people left and right. Speaking on the mic making the crowd rev into a frenzy as he threatened the youngsters with a back hand,}
Lady: With whatever little success he earned his ego grew twice as large. Eventually, nobody could stop him. That is until...
{The man is seen working out when a gorgeous young lady enters the room. He stops everything to begin courting her.}
Lady: ...she walked into his life. His attempts at mating with her weaved great success as he would go on to marry this young girl.
{The couple are reciting vowels at their wedding. The scene then shifts to her accompanying him to ringside. He proceeds to defeat men twice his size. His attitude changed a bit and the crowd began to cheer for him.}
Lady: It seemed that with her by his side he could do anything. His attitude went from negative to positive. Then something changed.
{A woman enters the scene, distracting the man from fulfilling his marital duties. With promises of higher places, she convinces him to hire her, causing his attitude to revert back to the same hostile man he was before.}
Lady: He lost sight of his priorities. He began to neglect the one thing that held him together. Then he lost her. He gained a new friend but lost the one he loved. He began to miss matches and lose momentum, until all that remain was one fleeting moment.
{The wife leaves the room and the manager walks in. The man and manager dramatically approach one another. A slow romantic moment that would end with a kiss as the background is transformed into fireworks. His wife comes back in to witness this tender moment between man and mistress. She runs out of the room, tears in her eyes, never to be heard from again.}
Lady: He forgot what was important and lost it all. Lost what was important to him.
{Pictures of Everyman's life begin to pass by once again. Only this time they are pictures of things he's lost. His career. His momentum. His mistress. Finally, his wife. These pictures stay on screen, and one by one, disappear into nothingness.}
Lady: Nothing remains but a man searching to regain his love.
{The animation starts up again and it shows the man searching and fighting to find his wife, but to no avail. Beating information out of people and knocking down doors to receive nothing in return. He finally ends up... giving up, committing suicide. The man puts the gun to his mouth and pulls the trigger. Animated brains splattered all over the wall. A few days later, at his funeral, his wife somberly returns to say good-bye. She walks up to the casket and looks inside....}
Lady: This is the tale of Everyman's Curse. Doomed to remain unreliable 'til the day he dies. Knowing how unreliable you are, you will probably miss your own funeral.
{Inside the casket laying in peace is not Everyman. The wife jumps back startled by what she sees. Instead of the man, it is Sense and he is smiling from ear to ear. The scene then fades from an up close animated shot of Sense to an up close real life shot of Sense. Still grinning from ear to ear as the camera backs up to reveal the empty arena from before. The projector and screen are no longer in view as Sense begins to speak.}

Lex Sense: I hope you enjoyed that little animated short. By no means is that man you. This is just a story I remember as a child. The story is similar to yours. I know you will agree to this. I stand before you in the middle of an empty nCw arena, because this is the only home you have left. It is the only place where you have some self worth left. The only arena where you still hold a sense of your dignity. I have heard people say that it is your time to prove that you belong. Sadly, this is not the case. You will let your fans down just as you let your wife down.
{Sense smiles flashing his famous grin.}
Lex Sense: I am an artist depicting the failures of life and right now, that is you... Joe. Don't you worry, Karras and Maniac, your short shall be coming soon. I remember hearing tales about how Everyman defeated some hall of famers. Even retiring a few former champions. I heard tale of how Milo Holland fell before you. Stories about how you were on your way to the gold. Then again, that all happened in the past. Now you are nothing more than a man on the hunt for revenge. Revenge for your own mistakes. Seems rather odd you are blaming someone else for the things you did wrong. Deep down inside you are a warrior, but all the world sees now is an unreliable loser. A phoenix is meant to rise from ash and ember to be reborn. It is not meant to rise to enter Ashlie Ember to wither and die. Your intro's theme and some of your past rp's indicates that you are a f*cking nightmare to nCw, but you are stepping into the ring with three true night terrors of the world. In here you are nothing more than a shallow dream with hollow threats.
{The newly crowned champ rests his belt on his shoulder.}
Lex Sense: I have no doubt that were this a one on one with you. I will crush you like I have been doing since I arrived. Alas, it is not. There are two more men that I have to deal with. Gabriel Karras, something about you I like. The whole using God to steal other mens wives bit is priceless. Your look is fashionable and we both answer to a higher authority. Different definition but true nonetheless. I have nothing negative to say about you... oh wait, yeah I do. A man that allows himself to be beaten to prove a point is a weak man. You are surrounded by followers but are any of them worth a dam. God does not give you strength. He gives you weakness.
{Sense begins to pace back and forth his expression changing to a grim one.}
Lex Sense: Then that leaves Maniac. My how the tides have turned. You dare slam me though a table. Your frustrations in your inability to get the win leads to you giving me what I could have taken from you. You are worthless. You say I have awoken something in you. Will give me the honors of laying, whatever it is that I am suppose to be frightened of, to rest. You will have nowhere to go this Sunday. Let us see how you fare against someone who is looking to repay the favor.
{Sense is interrupted by a man clearing his throat. Lex slowly turns in the direction of the distraction.}
Jimmy Turner: Well boy! It seems like you've been makin' a name for yo'self.
Lex Sense: You could say that?
Jimmy Turner: You got people turning their heads to see you wrestle. Then again you got twice that amount of people who would like to see you leave.
Lex Sense: Does it matter? I am not hear to please anyone. I am not going anywhere.
Jimmy Turner: I see this road that your travelin' and I wonder, are you sure you know what you're doing?
Lex Sense: I am not sure I know what you mean.
Jimmy Turner: You could be making a different form of impact if you try hard enough.
Lex Sense: Leave me alone old man. Just because I allowed you to advise me before, it does not mean I need your advice.
Jimmy Turner: Just saying. You don't need anyone pulling your strings.
{He walks away whistling into the shadows and Sense is left there with an angered expression.}
Lex Sense: Where was I... that's right. This Sunday I am going in to face three and I will be the only one to walk out on my own two feet.
{To be continued...}
