So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
Colossians 2:6
Life is a gift, granted to each one of us on the day of our birth. There are no instructions on how to return this gift. No senders address to even send a thank you card. Our Thanks that we return to Him for His gift, is in the way we live. There were ten simple laws handed down. Ten rules to obey, without question. People break them on a daily basis, and yet wonder why they suffer in their lives. It always saddens my heart to hear someone complain about his job loss, or his relationship dissolving, and knowing that the sole reason this happens, is he is not thankful for the life he was given. I do not expect you all to be perfect, my children. I do however, expect you to open your hearts to His voice, and when He speaks to you, listen and heed the words that are said. Only then can you be thankful to the great gift you were given. Only then can you be content with both the happiness you have, and learn from the sadness you endure.
Gift?
You believe these people deserve their gift?
My dear Father, how silly of you.
They cast away His words.
They disobey His will.
And offer a half hearted apology.
And we are supposed to guide them?
How can we guide those who will not be lead?
How can we save those who won't listen?
I admire your resolve, Father.
You truly are a man of God.
But, that will not help you when the time comes.
When you stand alone, righteous against the damned.
And you fail...
As you were meant to.

{Maria was sitting in the gardens, outside the church, on a granite bench, flanked on either side by a statue of an Angel. One was apparently Micheal, with a sword and shield. The other was Gabriel, holding a pen and parchment. Maria was struck by how much the statue of Gabriel almost resembled Father Karras, or perhaps her eyes were messing with her. She could not be sure of which.}
Desiree: Do you like them? I carved them myself.
{Maria turned at the voice, turning nearly too fast and almost falling from her seat. Desiree was walking up, the hood of her robe was now down, and she was actually looking at Maria with pale eyes. It hadn't been very long that her blindness was removed, and Maria still found it a bit unusual to see Desiree actually looking at her instead of staring sightlessly ahead.}
Maria: They are quite pretty. When did you make them? How long did it take?
Desiree: It was my first task on my road to salvation. Father Karras told me that it would test my faith and dedication to it's limit to carve a statue with no training or even idea of where to begin, just a chisel, a hammer and a block of marble. It took close to three years to make.
Maria: Both of them?
Desiree: Well, no. I made Micheal as the trial. Gabriel I made.. simply because..
Maria: I wondered why it sort of looked like him.
{Desiree smiled, signs of a blush creeping over her face. Maria thought that a bit off to, as she rarely showed emotion in the times they had spent together.}
Desiree: You noticed that, huh?
Maria: Hasn't everyone?
Desiree: No, it escapes most peoples gaze. Then again, most people look at things.. and do not really see them.
{Maria was unsure how to feel about that. Did that make her special? Did it make the time she spent here worth it?}
Desiree: It was a pleasure having you here, Maria.
{That caught Maria by surprise, and it showed in her face.}
Maria: What?
{Desiree only smiled.}
Desiree: You'll know what to do when the time comes. Do not worry.
Maria: Not.. sure what you mean.
Desiree: Soon, you will understand...
{Desiree patted Maria on the shoulder, and walked away off into the garden. Maria leaned forward, her chin resting on her palms, back into being lost in thought.}
Maria: She.. is a strange one...

You think me some two bit conman, just a fake swindler of those who have weaker minds and need answers to questions who's beauty is that they have no answers. What you don't know is that everything you think He does not have a hand in, is by His design. You have eyes, but you cannot see the power that is all around you. You digress points, make up reasons and excuses under the guise of rational thought. But none of you stopped to think that maybe it was not simply blinked into existance.
Maybe it started as an idea, and grew into something more.
That is why I am here, to be the Lord's sword, shield and armor. To protect the world He made for you, from you. Protect it from you tearing down the mystery of life, defiling what is by calling it something it is not. You think your science created this world? That it was sheer chance the numbers went a certain way to make a life sustaining world rather than an empty blob of nothingness? And you still fail to see God's hand in this? You are more naive than I thought.[/b]
It was you who split open the sea by your power; you broke the heads of the monster in the waters.
Psalm 74:13
People think me mad to do this. Enter the den of nightmares against the pure evil that infects us all. But if I do not, who will? Who else would take up the mantle of Champion and serve the Lord as his willing soldier? I do so, not only because I must, but because I realize the debt I have to the creator. The debt we each accrue as we are given life, as we have been given a world to live in. And all your creditor ever asks for, is that you honor and respect what he has given you, and be nice to your fellow man. And most people, cannot even do that.[/b]
In that day, the LORD will punish with his sword— his fierce, great and powerful sword— Leviathan the gliding serpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he will slay the monster of the sea.
Isaiah 27:1[/i]
I fear no devil, no monster, no man. For that is what we all are, men. You can place a mask over your eyes, and all that will do is cloud your vision even further than it was. You can place paint on your face, and a mere moment in the Lords light and it will run off, revealing the trembling shell beneath it. You can hide your cowardice and hatred under a veil of righteousness, and the gaze of the almighty will pierce into your soul and dispel it. I care not for your threats, I care not for your stories. I care to end you. I will defeat the evil that plagues these halls. And no amount of clever diatribe, or self obsessed indignance will stop me. Three men will walk into the Den of Nightmares..
But only the Hand of God.. will exit..[/b]
