Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe
Hebrews 12:28[/i]
Humanity, as a whole, is destined to inherit God's Kingdom. Everything you see, the whole domain he laid out before you, is designed to be ours. God knows that one day we will be mature enough to handle life, as it is, and not as we demand it should be. But, we failed him nearly immediately. I don't need to tell you the story. I only need to tell you that incident brought about the cursed cloud that hovers above us all. Under His protective embrace, you will be blessed, and have everything you need, if not everything you ask for. Stray, and it is very simple, you will face hardship. It is not a difficult choice, is it? To accept and love Him for what He has done, or suffer the consequences. But if you enjoy rotting in your self imposed misery, that is also your decision. I will help you if you wish, but my patience.. is not infinite.[/b]
What's that Father?
Is the hand of God feeling a bit under the pressure?
You cannot save these ungrateful fools.
You never could.
Not because they resist.
Because you are weak.
You are no righteous Solider.
Just a self loving zealot.
It's time you dealt with it.

{Karras was kneeling at the big stained glass window, where he prayed. He looked in pain, and had his hands over his ears like he was trying to drown out noise, although the chapel was deathly silent. Maria approached him hesitantly, shaking steps disturbing the dust that had settled on the stone floor. Gabriel's voice nearly made her jump.}
Karras: Yes, dear Maria?
{She hadn't noticed him stand up, but he was now facing her. His pained expression subdued enough for the barest of smiles.}
Maria: Oh.. Hi.. Father.. I just...
{She trailed off, biting her lip.}
Karras: You may speak freely with me, Maria. Is there something you require?
Maria: I.. I need.. you...
{Karras was a bit taken aback by this, but he quickly realized that was only half a sentence as she was trying desperately to hold back sobs.}
Karras: What do you need of me, dear Maria?
Maria: I.. need you to tell me what I should do.
Karras: I cannot give you an answer, that lies within your heart. I can only tell you what I think you should do, what you should be waiting for.
Maria: Please... something.. anything Father..
{She was crying quietly, and suddenly rushed forward to embrace him, burying her tear soaked face into his chest. He held her as she shook, but his expression was grim. He knew the cause of all this.}
Karras: Do not fear for our safety, dearest Maria. We will survive.
Maria: I.. I never wanted any of this to happen. I thought leaving home would open his eyes to what he was doing to me.. to Aurora.. but.. it hasn't.. it's only made it worse! And now.. you could.. they could...
Karras: I know, Maria. But we will endure. All of us..
Maria: And.. Ayla and Rayne?
Karras: Of course.
Maria: So.. what should I do?
Karras: You should look within yourself, and find the answer you already know.. And whatever that is, you will always be welcome here.
Maria: ......Thank you.. Father...
Karras: Go with God, Maria.
{She slipped from his embrace, and turned to walk away. Her face set and determined as she spoke one final line.}
Maria: Do not worry, I will...

There will be loud wailing throughout Egypt—worse than there has ever been or ever will be again.
Exodus 11:6[/i]
The world is crying for help. Can you not hear it? Hear how the very ground you walk on cries with each step? You may not see it, but all of God's creations are together in this. The cry for the harmony this world once knew, and has been summarily destroyed by people like those I stand around. People who pride themselves on greed, power, and lust for all things they desire. You want a reason? A denoument for why you have such pain and suffering in your life? Look no further than the mirror, that shall provide all the answers you seek. If you're not too busy looking at the reflection, that is.[/b]
Your strength will be spent in vain, because your soil will not yield its crops, nor will the trees of your land yield their fruit.
Leviticus 26:20[/i]
Nothing you do brings you real happiness. You always have to look for the next thrill, the next cheap high you get from whatever sad events you partake in. You hurt others to mask the pain you are in, to pretend you don't feel it anymore. But each day you unravel just a little further. Every day you spiral further down until not even your highs can mask the torment you have let inside your soul. Nothing you ever do will make you happy until you stop this foolishness and repent for the evils you have committed in your own name. Nothing.[/b]
Then I will do this to you: I will bring on you sudden terror, wasting diseases and fever that will destroy your sight and sap your strength. You will plant seed in vain, because your enemies will eat it.
Leviticus 26:16[/i]
You can think me what you will. That I am just some simple preacher, spouting off anothers words because I lack the ability to use my own. But you have no idea. None of you do. You think the pain you suffered to be so great that it trumps everything anyone else has ever felt? You think the torment you subject yourself to is somehow greater than everyone else's pain? You are everything you believe me to be. Weak, foolish, and ultimately naive. You may think you have the advantage because of the match, because of the cage. But remember, I'm not locked in there with you...
You're locked in there with God..[/b]
