It is supposed to be about giving thanks…
(Scene opens to a glorious thanksgiving celebration, the candles are lit, the turkey is browned perfectly, and the turkey’s skin is pulled taught and is crisp. A heaping bowl of mashed potatoes steams you can inhale the delicious bevy of flavors emanating from the table, the cranberries the stuffing, the pie which isn’t there, but is most certainly in the oven)
(A boy whose face is blanked out sits at the table, he sits alone as his faceless mother applies a fresh coating of juices to the turkey using a baster, and the boy eagerly puts his finger in the cranberry sauce when his mother’s back is turned. With a swift movement the mother slaps the boys hand)
Mother: Wait for dad…
Boy: Oh, is he coming this time?
Mother: Yes, he called from the airport, he should have been home about an hour ago, but the weather must have held him up…
(Suddenly the front door bursts open and you hear a jovial message screamed, neigh, bellowed at the top of a man’s lungs coming through the room)
Father: MEEEEEEEEEERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
(Sure enough, in from the back room comes a man dressed in a Santa Claus outfit he walks into the room grabbing the boy who is obviously confused sitting him on his lap)
Father: What do you want for Christmas little boy?
Boy: Really?
(The mom pulls the boy off his lap and puts her hands on her hips)
Mother: Sei in ritardo, e siete voi Thankgiving idiota!
(The man puts his son down, and taking the sack of presents leaves the room, you hear a vehicle start as the scene fades, the boy running to his room, the mother sitting alone at the magnificent feast she has prepared)
I know that my life was better the some… I know that I had good things, but there are other things that I have looked for, desired for such a long time that I have never been able to have, and those things Milo, those very things are what fuel me. See Milo, you have a size advantage on me, you have a weight advantage on me but being as big as you means nothing, it means nothing because when it comes down to it, people know they can defeat you. They know they can defeat you because you don’t have the killer instinct, you don’t have the charisma of your brother and you don’t have the skill set that he possesses. You have the size, but that is it. And everything you have accomplished you have accomplished because of your brother, you have nothing to claim for yourself…
And yet, you are still led towards the role of second fiddle, because you are playing second fiddle to Washington now, I ask and I wonder as I look at you. I wonder when you will develop the attitude that makes you take the center stage, I hope and pray that this week you are able to find that great mighty moment, that amazing breath of fresh air that makes you want to be the star that you could be, because I can promise you that if you hesitate, that if you fail to pull the trigger you will find out that despite your natural physical advantage over me, that when it comes down to strength and killer instinct that you have nothing, look at your past you are too passive to be feared, and although I don’t think that you genuinely feel fear for me I don’t think it is because you are tough, I think it is because you don’t have the cognitive capacity to truly understand just how much danger you are in…
Plainly put Milo I am a monster and I am sick of watching you flounder in mediocrity, constantly clutching the bootstraps of someone greater, it is time for you to stand for yourself or to be thrown to the wayside… Where you will rot in a pool of your own self loathe.

(Scene opens to Gib’s office, it seems that even more paperwork has piled up then before. Zelda pushes into the office and makes herself at home as Gib reads a document with the screen in the background showing matches from this past weeks collision, including the altercation with Lex Sense)
Zelda: I think it is funny how my buddy Venom is tagging with Harold…
Gib: Why is that funny?
Zelda: Gee I wonder…
(She bites her bottom lip and her face is covered with excitement, you can tell that she thinks Gib is Harold and that he is trying to get into the Young Guns…)
Zelda: Just think, if Gib and Venom win, then together they could win the tag titles. Maybe Harold can even be a honorary member of the Young Guns
Gib: You don’t want anything to do with Harold, he is nothing but a monster. I know, Steve Awesome knows, and whoever this copycat is, whoever this monster is that won’t let my past die I will eventually corner him and give him an old fashioned beatdown.
(Zelda laughs, giggles actually)
Gib: What’s funny?
Zelda: I think it is funny, like you and Harold are never in the same place at the same time. You are like Clark Kent and he is like Superman… But I am WAAAAY smarter then Lois Lane…
Gib: I don’t like what you are implying, I have said it before and I will say it again. I am not Harold..
Zelda: Sure dad, sure…
(Scene fades)
There comes a time in everyone’s life when they must step back and reassess where they are currently standing in their life, there has to be a point that you evaluate the place you are, where you thought you would be and where you can still go. If this evaluation doesn’t occur then ultimately people reach a certain level of stagnation, they and their acts become status quo and when it comes down to it, when it really comes down to the nitty gritty if you don’t take this time to reflect and mature then you will never evolve and I feel that we as a human species have done just that.
I feel that because we are so unwilling to make the commitment for change that they flounder. I see two men this week who have been so unwilling to reassess their place in this business that they are slowly declining, and because of that their legacies are in danger. Myself, being the person that I am, being the caring loving individual I am, I just want to make sure that their legacies remain intact. I want to make sure that they are able to go out at the top of their game.
Because if they come into this match this weekend, thinking about performing any less then their best they are certainly going to be in for a bit of a problem, for when someone isn’t ready, when someone isn’t at the top of their game that is when, plainly put, I like to exercise my free will to send a message. And this message is going to be sent without prejudice, without regard for physical safety, because sometimes the only way to get a persons attention is to take something to such lengths that they are unable to ignore you. Sometimes you have to bring something to such a degree that a person is forced to make this aforementioned reassessment.
Wil I know what you are going to say, you aren’t scared, you aren’t nervous you have faced people that are better, more experienced and more destructive then me and have lived to tell the tale but really Wil I know that you are like a schoolyard boy going to the principal’s office. You know, deep down that you have such a small chance of victory this weekend that you are concerned that soon, soon people will no longer care. You failed at your chance to be the best here, you failed countless times here because you are scared to be the best, because being the best comes with a price that you just aren’t willing to pay.
The great thing about being in my shoes Wil is that no one expects anything. Everyone is talking about how Washington and Holland will combine to be the greatest tag team ever, but please for the safety of yourself and those that surround you don’t look past this week because your opponents may be a little more of a challenge then either of you think.
I know, my life really wasn’t that bad… But, it could’ve been better.
And someone has to pay for it; it may as well be you.
It is supposed to be about giving thanks… but I have nothing to give thanks for.
