OPENING
Welcome again my loyal followers to another week of that column I know you all just can't get enough of. The new year continues to roll on for NCW as we've hit the ground running with Time to Riot and now this week's line up of shows. Lets hope that we can continue like this for the rest of the year because if we do it's going to be one hell of a year.
Well, I knew it, Trent Helms is the biggest news coming out of the RiOT and as usual he's capturing the hearts of NCW fans all over the world. Then again that may just be because we haven't seen his face around here in like two years, so of course him showing up and wrestling in the biggest match NCW has to offer is going to make headlines. It's good to see that Trent really hasn't lost anything being gone on this time, he still has the loyal following of his astronauts... yes that's what I'm calling his fans, and he still seems to be in great shape. Here's hoping that he feels the itch to return full time to the ring.
This week's poll is going to be about Falcon, I know you're probably sick of hearing about it, but lets just humor the people who do care shall we? What do you think about his punishment? What do you think should be done to him? Should he get his match at Meta that he earned in the Riot? Or is what he did just unforgivable? Let us know.
REVIEW
:: TRAUMA ::
For Trauma this week we put out some very interesting matches, ending in an Honor title match between Lex Sense and Alex Jones that was flat out a fantastic match up between two very talented wrestlers. We all know how good Alex Jones is, but Lex Sense may have just went up to a new level after his successful defense of that belt. It was a good sight seeing somebody who has been putting in a lot of hard work lately being successful, even if he is a masked creepo.
That was the big point of the night but I can't undersale the undercard from this show. Trish Newborn and Ayla St. James put up one hell of a match for the fans, Ayla was going none stop the entire time looking for a big victory, but it seems that she has tore her MCL while doing so. Speaking of that Ayla has said she's going to let her contract expire... so it was most likely her trying to go out on a high note and she gets injured as payment. That's a shame, when she wasn't have sex with my husband, I really liked her. Before that, we got to see a Tempestad and Maniac match up, two of NCW's masked Hardcore wrestlers going at it in a great match. Tempestad keeps proving though that he is just outside the cusps of greatness in NCW... he came close to beating Manaic but in the end came up short, I wonder when he'll finally take that next step?
As far as Trauma's go, this was a very solid show, it was good action from beginning to end and it's hard to nitpick anything from it. B.
:: COLLISION ::
Collision this week was very good, oh man... I can't begin to describe it. This whole ordeal with Falcon and begin suspended... he's won the Riot match and now look at him, there is not telling what is going to go on between him and Velez... hell Velez may just end up with either month off or a replacement opponent at Meta. I have no idea where this is going to go, and I may not be very happy with Kyle right now for what he did, but he better get his title match he earned.
With that dilemma out of the way, we had some very good matches on the show. We had two title changes, one that is long overdue on seeing him win that title and another that was... interesting to say the least. Venom finally won the National title, if you recall he came a hair from doing so a while back which ended up going to Charlie Velez and he's been a great competitor in NCW ever since, bringing back the Honor title and being one half of the tag team champions, it's good to see him finally come back and claim that National title from the guy who took it from Jason Blair. Now for the tag team title match, no.. I do not know what Adam and DDK are planning before they do it. No I do not condone what they are doing outside he's my husband and I support him where he needs me. Either way, Shane Hunt and Paul Star were putting up a hell of match before they go involved so it's not like they couldn't of won without the help and it's good to see two NCW youngsters winning titles.
Our main event of the evening ended up being a handicap match thanks to Falcon's suspension, but Charlie Velez managed to come through with the victory when Steve Awesome abandoned Jacobsen by leaving the apron. Now really.. who didn't see that coming? Expecting Steve to stay faithful to a commitment me is like expecting Emma Danielson to shave her mustache. You keep hoping it happens, but in the end it's just pointless. It was a great match, it really showed why Charlie is the current world champion, he fought off two men with all he had. He's a douche, but he's a wrestler that we can be proud of to have as a champion.
We had great matches all around, Zelda wins again in a four way match featuring her friend Crystal Hilton, with those two really stealing the attention from Roxxie and Sullivan. We had Adam knite defeating Milo Holland and Harold beating DDK by reversing his BANG! Attempt with his knock out Widowmaker punch. The show's matches were very good from top to bottom, there is nothing bad I can say about them, except maybe that Joe Everyman came out and lost again... what is he going to do that for the rest of his life or something?
Overall, a solid B+ for Collision standards.
THE FAB FIVE
5. LEX SENSE :: On the Trauma main event he retained his Honor championship against one of NCW's best wrestlers and all around honorable guys, Alex Jones. It was a great performance and earned him this 5th spot.
4. HOMELESS HAROLD :: He defeated the former NCW champion with one well timed punch to the face. It was a great win for the X Champion and one that is making this new Homeless Harold a scary thought for his opponants.
3. SHANE HUNT & PAUL STAR:: They may have gotten an unwanted assist from Adam and DDK but they were putting up a hell of a fight before that and are now the tag team champions.
2. CHARLIE VELEZ :: Charlie thanks to Falcon's punching of Zelda had to face Steve Awesome and Andrew Jacobsen on his own. He was holding his own before Steve abandoned Andrew and just continues to show why he's a great world champion.
1. VENOM :: He earned a shot at the National champion by finishing second in the Riot match. Sure it was a sort of a consolation prize, but he made the most of it with a victory and is now a National champion.

OVERALL RECORD:: 10-1 :: Read above comments. It's a new year and I certainly started off on the right foot with these.

WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON
:: COLLISION MAIN EVENT :: It's Rob Diamond and Jacobsen teaming together along with Zelda. Now, I know they are going to put their best foot forward, especially with Zelda standing right there to keep them in line, but it's going to be very interesting to see the tension between these two. Only question I have is... if Andrew cares so much about her, why did he pussyfoot around when her and Falcon broke up? He should of just swooped in and took her, he's already slept with her.
:: DESTRUCTOR! :: Hey look, I've started to give him his “!” he's earned it. This should be a great challenge for the kid. Milo is huge so it's going to be a mountain for him to try and overcome, but it's going to be interesting to see if he can do it. We'll find out I guess.
:: VENOM vs. JACK MANSON :: I always find these type of matches interesting. It's the first National champion taking on the newly crowned National Champion. A week after winning the title Venom is being put to the test again, should be very interesting to say the least.
:: CRYSTAL HILTON :: She put up a hell of a fight last week and almost came out with a victory but in the end, she just ends up like everybody else who is put into a match with Zelda. Now the question that we should be asking is can she defeat the former Women's champion, Emma Danielson? It'll be a nice boost for her if she can.
THE KNITELINE
John Bison, Texas
I've heard rumors that Paul Star is a hermahprodite. Is this true?
:: I've never had the chance to look up his skirt, so I couldn't tell if you if that's true or not.
Sebastian Vega, Somewhere in Spain or something...
I've heard rumours that Roxxxie is female. Is that true? Surely not...
:: She's offered for me to look up her skirt several times, but I just don't roll that way and I can say she's definitely a woman, from the couple of times she's walked into my dressing room unannounced and tried to proposition me.
Paul Star, totally not related to the hermaphrodite, Chicago, IL
Young Guns, how amazing are they? The top two titles in the company AND Zelda Knite, the hottest female wrestler on the planet. Also, any rumor that a Japanese promotion has offered Zelda Knite a contract and a shot at there men's World Champion since NCW won't allow it?
:: The Young Guns continue to prove why they are the best team in NCW today, no doubt about that, even though they seem to be cursed when it comes to fourth members. I haven't heard that rumor, but I think with their love of "fighting spirit" it wouldn't be out of line for them to bring Zelda in a for a few shows. Little known fact.. she does have an open contract where she can work shows for other companies.... hmm.... Where there's smoke, there's fire.
MY CLOSING THOUGHTS
:: While writing this and listening to the radio, a 3 Doors Down song came on.. I totally forgot they existed.
:: So apparently the world record Donkey Kong high score as been beaten again... I asked our resident video game geek what she thought about this and if she had any desire to attempt the feat and she said “I have a boyfriend and a life” Wow.. when Zelda Knite calls you a no life geek, that is harsh.
:: I think the Young Guns have officially taken over the world... or at least hold a monopoly on NCW titles. You better hold onto that X Championship Harold!
:: So who is supposed to be the bad guy between Charlie and Falcon? A guy who's biggest flaw is being cocky versus a guy who punches teenage girls?
:: So Spike Kane is back in NCW? I thought Senior Xtremo was spike!? I'm so confused.
:: So Zelda is getting attacked from behind again, with a shot to the head? She gets hit in the head more times than a pro boxer. And what is up with that... I thought she was a jerk, isn't she supposed to be hitting people in the back of the head? Like she did to me -.-
:: You should expect a special guest this week on Collision, a guest who is going to be on the commentary table in fact....
Well that's all I'm saying for this week and I hope you enjoyed this Knitelife. Until next time...
