OPENING
Well, it’s certainly been an interesting week, I can tell you that, but regardless of what’s going on in front of the camera or backstage, here I am once again to bring you that exciting Knitelife action that you crave so much, that I know you live for, that I know you need. Your weekly douse of Kelly Knite talking about the past week’s events and the upcoming show, nothing can be better.
Of course we’ve got a lot to talk about as we saw a lot of action on our shows this past week and the biggest news is probably that of Trent Helms who is now the Color commentator on Collision, kicking Willy out of his seat....poor Willy, he gets thrown between our shows so much it’s hard to tell if he’ll be on Trauma, Suspense, or Collision each different week. Not to get too saddened by the treatment of Willy... lets get straight into how awesome it is to have Trent Helms doing Collision commentary. Isn’t that the greatest thing you’ve ever heard!? It’s not? Fine... at least it’s better than seeing Andrea Jocbsen’s wrinkly old face on TV.
From the looks of the poll it would seem the majority of you NCW fans think Falcon shouldn't get his title shot because of his suspension for punching Zelda. It's hard to argue against that logic, NCW has rules and policies in place for how we expect our wrestlers to act in and outside of the ring, Falcon went against those rules and has accepted the punishment of being suspended, however we have to ask ourselves this... should we punish the man twice? That's what we're doing if we suspend him and also take his title shot away from him. It wouldn't be fair to give him double punishment.... You fans are entitled to your opinion but I think we should get behind Falcon during this time, we don't have to like what he did, but he's serving his punishment.
Last week was our first change of lineup to our new three "man" booth of commentators with Trent taking over for Willy for a while. So I think it's a good time to see what your thoughts are on this three person booth thus far?
REVIEW
:: TRAUMA ::
Trauma was just rocking along this week, we had the debut of a man I know from various other federations in Christian Gardner, he looked impressive against one of NCW's youngest wrestlers and a man who not too long ago we were calling the future of this company in Hugo Conway. Gardner won, and he looks like he isn't going to hold anything back here during his run with NCW. We should be glad to have him.
Of course that was the only action on the show, we got the big upset of the week when Roxxxie defeated Trish by a roll up in our main event. Roxxxie has been putting in a ton of work recently to try and get up that ladder here to the women's title and it looks like it's certainly paying off. The match was very good and it came down to the wire with Roxxxie just pulling away with a surprise win at the end, and what makes it even better was... it was my upset of the week.. I totally called it.
So those two matches mixed in with getting to see the team of Maniac and Harold in tag team action made Trauma very good show this week, possibly one of the better shows we've see coming from Saturday night in a while and I hope we can keep it up this week with some more exciting action.
:: COLLISION ::
Collision never let up, the second the show started up we had a rematch from last week's webshow with Ricky Johnson taking on Todd Williams again, Todd fought hard but the ending was just the same with Ricky Johnson again prevailing. However, this didn't even compare to the next match with Jack Manson and Venom squaring off in a battle of the first and current National champions, great match with a great little story behind it, it was totally a great first half hour of the show, no doubt about that.
Then of course we debuted.. “Spke Kane” which is freaking Hexx for the love of God... I can't believe we were all waiting for that, but yet here we are having to look at Hexx's big butt every week again... good grief, that will knock Collision down a whole letter grade just from that. Seeing the young, green clad mega star in Destructor gaining a huge upset against Milo Holland wasn't enough to recover from the shock of seeing “spike kane” in action... It was like a nightmare coming true right before my eyes and I've been reliving it every night since.
Now seriously... other than the total disgustingness of seeing Hexx on live television, Collision was a great show. The main event though, despite being a great 6 person tag match turned into something bloody and vicious. After Andrew grabbed the win for he, Rob, and Zelda, Maniac ruined the celebrationg by coming down and attacking his brother, then Desiree left Zelda in a pool of blood. This situation between these four is starting to heat up and I don't know if we're ready to see where it's going to go. The last person Maniac took issues against ended up in a shallow grave, literally... this could be worse seeing as it's his own family.
The show was good, gotta mark it do for way too much Hexx, but overall it was still a B-.
THE FAB FIVE
5. VENOM :: He was number two after Time to Riot and number one after last week, this week I guess he drops to number with, even though he had a great performance agaisnt Jack Manson.
4. CHARLIE VELEZ :: He picked up a nice victory against the former National champion this week. Chuck Moss came in and pushed the World champion to the limit, but in the end it was Velez who showed why is on the top of NCW right now.
3. CHRIS GARDNER :: After drawing Hugo Conway for his first match in NCW Gardner didn't back down at all, he came out fighting and picked up a big win to start his NCW career out on the right foot.
2. ANDREW JACOBSEN :: Andrew has been through a lot lately with this issue of Steve and his mom and now caught in another love triangle with Rob and Zelda.... however he put all that on the back burner came out and picked up the win for his team in the main event pinning Lex Sense.
1. ROXXXIE :: She continues to work her way up the preverbial NCW ladder and this week picked up a huge win against the current Women's champion on Trauma. It was a great upset victory that has earned her this top spot.
PREVIEW
LAST WEEK'S PREDICTIONS:: 10-3 :: Two weeks in a row with ten right predictions, I'm starting off the new year right I'm telling you, and I hope to just keep on rolling with it, I'm going to beat my last year's record.
OVERALL RECORD:: 20-4 :: That's right, I've started off the new year with an 83% correct prediction rate. Come on admit it, that's great and that you're jealous and that I'm incredibly sexy. Ok, you don't have to admit the last one, even though we know it's true.

WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON
:: Rob Diamond :vs. Destructor!: Rob Diamond won a match not that long ago where he no longer had to wear the Lord Dominicus mask, however this time it looks like either because he is facing the masked Destructor!, another one of Zelda's friends, or just because Zelda likes the gimmick. Either way he'll be wearing the mask which should be interesting, also like I said about... there is a Zelda connection here, then again what match isn't lately... good grief.
:: EverySense :: Are these two an official team yet? I mean.. come on already just say it's so, that way I con proceed to wonder why Lex Sense hangs around Joe Everyman. Anyway, they have a huge match in the main event of Collision, they could make some great strides with a win here.
:: Star vs. Carvetti vs. DDK :: It looks like whatever is going on between these three teams are going to be at each other's neck for a good while and this week it's a match putting one member from each team against one another, it's going to get very interesting, very fast.
:: Johnny Holliday :: Holliday was on the losing end last week when his partner let him down, this week he has a chance to avenge that loss against Shane Hunt one on one. This should be a great hard fought match between two very different styled wrestlers.
KNITELINE
:: No questions this week, because I'm apparently an idiot and forgot to open the lines.
MY CLOSING THOUGHTS
:: Ok, it's getting ridiculous... more matches have ended on the sight of Zelda knocked out then they have on a shot of Joe Everyman's arm raised in victory.
:: So seeing Hexx as the new “Spike Kane” was certainly a surprise... but it wasn't a pleasant one.
:: NCW has lost a few wrestlers due to injuries and being released lately, numbers are kind of down but we'll as always push through.
:: This will be the second week in a row that Falcon won't be wrestling, however he'll be at ringside with us... man is it going to be a crowded booth. Me and three other men, I'm going to feel like Megan Kane on a Thursday night.
:: Why is it now that Trent is a commentator I feel like the straight man of the group? What is it about Trent that brings out the jerkass in Hardy?
:: Dave Holland has taken some time off to heal from some injuries... yes, it's ok to stay up at night crying over the news.
Well that's all I have for you this week, I'm sorry that this week seems to be a weaker edition of my column but it's been hectic for me lately. I hope to come back in full force soon, just have to recharge the old fuel cells. Until next time...
