“Dionysus”
Location: Burger Palace; Detroit, Michigan
Date: Sunday, February 6, 2011
Here we are a few hours from the next pay-per-view by Next Championship Wrestling. The arena had been sold out for months prior, not even the noise bleed seats were available. The voice of Crystal Hilton still flowed in the champions mind constantly reminding her who was fighting against, come the Metamorphosis event. She was going in as champion, and she was going out as the champion. Crystal was just a minor bump to what Patricia really wanted to achieve. She was gunning for that record that everyone praised Zelda for every time she entered an arena.
Someone always mentioned that fact. Time for that to change starting at Metamorphosis, The Women’s World champion of nCw decided that it was time for lunch at world famous, Burger Palace. She waits in line as it slowly moves up. It’s almost her turn. After the long wait, it was finally time for her to grab something to eat before heading over to the Joe Louis arena for some needed practice.
“Welcome to Burger Palace, how may we service thy?”
“I’ll like a number one, four number three, one milkshake, two sodas, two beef quarter pounders, one double chicken supreme.”
At this point, Patricia rolls her eyes and blows out air. She leans herself to the side getting around the behemoth of a man standing in front of her, and looks up.
“Are you going to order of salad with that side of heart attack?”
“That’s a great idea, thank you… I’ll have a salad but with no tomatoes, I have to watch my figure.”
“That will be $38.76.”
The man smiles at Newborne, pays the cashier, and goes off to the side waiting his order. Patricia starts to mimic the large woman as before approaching the counter, relieved that she doesn’t have to wait any longer to get a meal. She turns to the man and narrows her eyes before turning her attention back to the cashier.
“Fat ass,” Patricia whispers.
“Welcome to Burger-”
“Yeah, yeah, save it for someone that cares, I just want an angus burger with everything on it and a medium orange soda.”
“Your total is $5.34.”
Newborne pays and goes off to seat down until her order is called from the back. She cannot help but think about her match against Hilton sitting next to the nearest window, with children running amok and screaming everywhere. Patricia wasn’t stupid. She has been defending championships like her World’s World championship for a while and knew how to hold on to a belt. She could feel that Crystal is nervous about taking on Newborne for the Women’s World title.Suddenly, Patricia starts talking to herself with sheer confidence in her voice tossing her hair to the side.
“Psh! I knew Crystal would be nothing more than a gullable piece of trash. Telling me “good luck” and also, “let’s rock the arena.” Whatever, cheerleader I can’t wait for the match just so I can shut her up for good. She will become another victim added to the pile along with Emma and Stephanie who has went through changes after facing me. Crystal Hilton isn’t anything special. She just has a lot more jewelry than the rest. Metamorphosis is what Hilton’s after, and that’s just what she’ll get.”
“383.”
Patricia looks at the paper and gets up walking to the counter while bumping into the people who are waiting in line, and grabs her food as the scene comes to a close.
“Change is inevitable. Change is constant.”
