OPENING
Welcome back again to my weekly little column that you've come to be addicted to like it was meth. We've had another huge week of NCW action and things are really starting to pick up around here so I barely know where to begin right now, there is just so much to cover from this past week.
Probably the biggest news is the continuing douchebaggery of Steve Awesome, not only leaving his “partner” to fight Harold and Maniac alone, but also beating up on poor Tempestad and Bukkake man... however the major injustice being he didn't beat the hell out of Mercedes instead! I mean what is up with that?! He goes through all this trouble to send a point home to everybody that he's this big mean jackass, and he can't just lay Mercedes out for me?! I thought you loved me Steve?
Also, I just have on thing to say about the poll this past week....”you jerks”. I thought you guys loved me? Apparently you just like to make life hard on me, you literally picked the most enigmatic and insane person on the list for me to try and get a hold of and get on the phone for an interview. Oh hey, there is this psycho running around who recent choked your sister-in-law out, go interview him for us. Thanks guys, thanks a lot. Oh, I'll try and get a few words with him, but if he comes after me afterward because of my awesome skills of embarrassing jerks in interviews, then I'm blaming you.
This week for a poll we're going to see what currently developing feud that you're most interested in seeing play out. There are a lot of different fights and ill feelings going around backstage and we're going to see which one you fans think is getting to be the most interesting one. This isn't so much which one you think is the biggest but which one you're just wanting to see how it ends or where it goes next.
REVIEW
Oh man did we have some tight action this week on both shows. The Brad Kane and Chris Gardner situation is beginning to really heat up as Brad Kane continues to prove his worth and fight his way back into the good graces of the NCW fans. I don't know where this is headed but it's not going to be pretty, but any fool could see that.
We had a great Trauma Main Event going before Simon Daye decided that it'd be more fun to spit in Joe's face and then kick him in the sack. Good one Simon. That guy doesn't care so much about winning as he does about just embarrassing Joe Everyman at every turn. This week however for ruining that match for his partner Gardner, he gets him on Collision, that should be fun.
Collision's started off this week with a great tag team match. It really seems that Ander and Andrew Jacobsen are coming together nicely as a team. I don't know if Johnny Holliday's issues of late are due to Jacobsen joining the Rat Pack in his absence... but I can certainly see why if it is. Carvetti and Jacobsen just might be the team to beat in a few weeks in a short time they've come together and on Collision picked up an impressive victory over Harold and Maniac... an amazing victory for them.
Now where would I be without mentioning this whole thing between Rob and Steve... they if they want any hope of stopping Harold and Maniac are going to have to come together as a team here. Rob seems willing but Steve continues his rogue douchebag act and they are going to be deadmeat when facing off against Harold and Maniac at this rate, they need to take a page out of Ander and Andrew's book.
Tempestad gave a valiant effort against Steve Awesome but couldn't recapture his magic from a few weeks back. Was that match just a fluke or are these two just well matched opponents? We may need a third match to settle this. Falcon picks up a huge victory over Jack Manson and shows why he's still very capable of beating anybody on this roster at any time, and in probably the match of the night, Rob Diamond picks up a victory over Paul Star, I think a lot of people would want to see that match up again as it was clearly a show stealer.
Alex Jones in the main event pulled off a big victory against the Young Guns and more namely, the National Champion Venom. This is only going to boost his claim at that world title against Charlie Velez, who, as it was reveled on Collision, has been recently outed as the head of Velez Industries. The world title picture between Jones, Falcon, and Velez is really starting to heat up here. Velez and Falcon are getting personal fast and Jones is sticking his neck in declaring neither man worthy of being NCW champion because of their actions. Things are about to explode, you might want to take cover.
Shows were fantastic this week. A lot of action inside and outside of the ring. Things are starting to get weird between Zelda and Desiree as Desi takes a huge chunk out of Zelda's hair and for whatever reason Lex Sense has decided he wants some of Rob Diamond as well. A lot of great stuff is happening fans. We've definetly had an A+ type of week.
THE FAB FIVE
5:: ZELDA KNITE :: You can always count on her to be at the top of her game and despite the fact that Roxxxie bailed on Newborn, Zelda got the pin on the current World champion in their division. She's always a threat.
4:: ROB DIAMOND :: He had a tough match against Paul Star and the two clearly stole the show this week. It was a great victory for Rob but I have a feeling Paul Star will bounce back from this one. Gotta reward somebody who stepped up big against a tough opponent.
3:: FALCON :: Everybody is doubting whether he should be in the world title picture on virtue of him losing to Velez at Metamorphosis, and they have a valid reason to, but Falcon just may have silenced a few of them with this impressive victory over Jack Manson.
2:: RICKY JOHNSON :: People have been wondering where the Ricky Johnson of old as been as of late, the Ricky Johnson who could literally win any match he was put in no matter the odds. Well it looks like at least for this week that Ricky was back with a win over the former World Champ.
1:: ALEX JONES :: AJ comes out and gets the job done again. When this man sets his eyes on a goal, nothing stands in his way and that was further proved by a huge win over the National champion. Velez and Falcon might be the focal point in this world title picture in the next few weeks, but Jones might be the main to beat.
PREVIEW
LAST WEEK'S RECORD:: 7-4 :: Wow, did I really suck it up on Trauma this week, I only got on match right and it was with freaking Hexx and Happy losing. With that said... man did I do a great job on Collision, only getting one of them wrong.
OVERALL RECORD:: 54-20 :: I've slowed down recently after huge predictions the first couple of weeks, but I'm going to up this, you just wait and see.

WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON
:: JASON BLAIR :: He's effin back. It's always a good day when a former champion, more to the point, a former National Champion comes back home. How will this effect the Young Guns? It makes them stronger obviously, they're a foursome again and this might not be a good thing for the rest of the roster. They already hold the World and National titles and have the most dominate Women's champion we've ever seen on their side... now they have a former wrestler of the month and man who was quickly rising to the top of the title ladder back. What out NCW.
:: SPYKE :: Ok... I said this the last time he came back, but this time he's not wearing a stupid ass mask and he's got his eyes set on his name and NCW history. Should be great to see him back in action and with a purpose. It's going to be a thing of beauty.
:: MARIA WILLIAMS vs. ASHLIE EMBER :: So Maria is a waste of space and Ashlie is a dirty tramp but I shouldn't have to tell you why this is going to be worth watching Trauma for.... Ashlie slept with Maria's husband, just in case you're out of the loop or been living under a rock. This is going to be a brawl, unless Maria just whimps out... which is always a possibility.
:: SIMON DAYE vs. CHRIS GARDNER :: These are two young guys who are both new to the NCW ring, they both have bright futures here in this company and we'll hopefully be seeing them both competing against each other for upper tier titles very soon as NCW's youth movement.
THE KNITELINE
Well this week we again have a special interview for your viewing pleasures. I couldn't get a hold of Maniac, the poll winner, but I promise I will try to for next week. So instead I got one of the last place finishers, Kyle Braddock, also known as … Falcon.
Ok, so here I am with NCW Hall of Famer and former World champion... Falcon. So Kyle... thanks for agreeing to this interview, I hope you don't mind it being over the phone, you know so you can't get all "Falcony" if I say something you don't like.
FALCON:: It's fine. Maybe over the phone you'll actually listen when I speak as well.
Oh I'm sorry I listen whenever there isn't a fist flying towards my face... but I digress, lets get right to it shall we? What has the past month been like for you personally outside the ring?
FALCON:: ....*sigh* turbulent...
Is that all? You don't want to get into any details over what it's been like.... I mean... you've been through a lot.
FALCON:: Not really.. if I mention a certain persons name they tend to have a really strong emotional reaction to tell me they don't care.
Well I was more referring to what has been going down with you and Charlie and now Alex Jones getting involved in the personal matters between you two... apparently somebody has a guity conscience.
FALCON:: Uh huh. Nice spin there. But anyway, did you really think I was going to spill my plans about Velez to you? Where's the fun in that?
Plan? I'm sorry... there's no spin in asking somebody about their frame of mind after losing their home, after losing their pay per view main event, and seeing somebody else apparently weasel their way into your affairs and chase for the championship. Maybe I should speak a little slower for you Kyle so you can understand what I'm asking?
FALCON:: Oh, I'm sorry. Did I ruin your investigative digging? But let's pretend I don't know what you're really getting at. My frame of mind is quite clearly pissed off. And Velez is going to suffer for it. And if Alex wants to get in the way, he'll find out just what the price is.
So, that's it? Just mad huh? Ok.. if you say so. Real riviting stuff here Kyle. Alright, lets move on shall we? Let me ask you this, what kind of person black mails their best friend? You and Angel have been through wars with each other and alongside one another for years, what makes you go to those levels?
FALCON:: What makes anyone turn on someone else? You want something, they can help you get it. I'm going to make Charlie's life miserable until he's gone, and I needed Angel to do it. He wouldn't do it willingly, so I forced him. It could be worse.. I could have broken his wrist in a title match.
Hmm, somebody sounds bitter... So Kyle. What is it like to be on the recieving end of so many boos lately? For years you were the ultimate hero, you were the person everybody pointed at and said "that's somebody to look up to" and now... you're this. How does that make you feel?
FALCON:: If I let all those people out there dictate how I should feel or what I should do, I wouldn't be here. You want a real answer? If being the nice guy for more than a decade only leads to me feeling hollow, then to hell with it.. I don't f***ing want it anymore.
There.. you have your inside scoop...
Well you do realize the entire point of "interviews" is to get a scoop and information right? No need for the hostilities. Now.... so you're telling me that it's a lifetime of feeling unappreciated that has caused you to betray every single person who has ever believed in you?
FALCON:: I recall saying that earlier and listening to you snap a denial. But the answer to your question is, can you really call an endless demand for more and better.. belief? No.. Everything I did.. was followed by a request to do it again... everything...
How would you feel if everytime you did an interview.. called a match.. you were just told to go do it again, be funnier, be more informative... you'd be bitter too after almost 15 years...
You do realize that I'm the daughter of a multi-millionaire wrestling promoter right? I was told constantly what I was wearing wasn't good enough, how I was doing in school wasn't up to the "fox standards", how that I shouldn't be romantically involved with a wrestler... You don't see me decking people 12 years younger than me. Are you sure this... all this is only about how the fans treated you all these years? Maybe it's about something a little more serious... like a broken heart maybe?
FALCON:: At this point, it doesn't matter what I tell you. Everybody has their own ideas.. everyone wants to play an after the fact judge and jury.. truthfully.. it's not about the fans at all... but you already knew that.
I know Kyle.. I know who all this is about. However, I told myself I would bring "her" up as litle as possible. So... one more question before we get into the quick shots.
You've done just about everything in NCW. Hall of Fame, world title, Riot win. What would it mean to you to win that second world title, espcially from a person like Velez who you absolutely detest. Then secondly... what would it do to you if for whatever reason you lost to him again? How would that effect you?
FALCON:: I wish it was just easy to say, I'm after the world title to have it. But I'm after it because of Charlie. Winning the title again is all well and good, but I want that belt off that grubby leech. To him, nCw is his personal playground, and that's not right.. no matter who does it. There is no saying "oh well, I didn't get it, time for something else"... there's only.. Charlie Velez...
So... there isn't anything but beating Charlie for you? That's your one goal left?
FALCON:: As it stands... yes.
Alright Kyle, I'll stop hounding you now, thanks for the time. Just a few quick answer questions if you don't mind.
What wrestler on the roster right now would you like to face in the ring for the first time, or just again?
FALCON:: Trent Helms
What wrestler who currently isn't on the roster would you love to see either comeback or join NCW so you could face off with them?
FALCON:: Nobody's going to understand why.. but Mr. Showtime.. we can put on a match not soon forgotten...
You might want to specify you're not talking about Johnny Holliday, but another Mr. Showtime, You know that Holliday guy's ego, Kyle.
FALCON:: What's he going to do, talk about me, then sit home for four weeks again?
Touche.... Who on this roster do you think is going to be a break out star very soon?
FALCON:: Ander Carvetti
On a scale from 1-10 how would you rank your career so far in NCW? What (besides getting Charlie) one thing would you like to do before your time here is done?
FALCON:: I'd say a solid 8, give or take. And I'd like to invent one more crazy match to leave behind.
On a scale from 1-10 how would you rank NCW in general since you've been here?
FALCON:: 10, greatest company in the world.
Well I hate to ask this, but it's one of my stock questions that I'm asking everybody, so... just answer.... my version of the Ginger or Mary Ann debate.... Kelly or Zelda?
FALCON:: Can I just answer Mercedes and be done with it?
You would pick Mercedes over me? That hurts Kyle... and no... answer the damn question.
FALCON:: **sigh**.... Kelly...
Nobody likes a liar Kyle.
FALCON:: ...Nobody likes questions with no answers.
-laughs- Good point.... Anyway, thanks again for your time, it was my pleasure to have you and I hope I wasn't too annoying with my goading. Before you go, this is where you just give us a final word, Anything you want to say? Get off your chest?
FALCON:: I wouldn't cling to dearly to the stock in Velez Industries. The new company direction is.. a bit troubling. But what do I know...
Ahhh there is the cryptic Falcon that we've all come to love. I'll let you get back to the basement and stop annoying you now. Good luck this week Kyle and with this whole thing against Velez. Thanks a lot.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
:: So Jason Blair is back and it appears everything is back in order in the Young Guns camp. This can only mean bad things for the rest of NCW with them back to full force.
:: Does anybody really believe all Falcon's issues aren't stemmed from Zelda and her out growing her teenage crush on him? Deny it all you want bird brain.
:: Speaking of Sydney... I'd like to point out that I'm now 2-0 in our Zelda vs. Kelly debate. Choke on it Nerdnation.
:: You know who I would personally like to see in the world title picture as well as Chalir, Alex, and Falcon? Ricky Johnson. I want to see him back on the top of NCW. Maybe he can win the Colliseum.
:: I think very soon we're going to see the likes of Lex Sense, Simon Daye, Chris Gardner, and Paul Star ruling over NCW as our top stars. All very talented, and all willing to get better. Maybe Joe Everyman can break out of his shell too.
:: Roxxxie gets a shot at the Women's title this week. She's beaten Newborn before, but can see do it will it all on the line?
:: I have no idea what has crawled up Lex's skirt and his issues with Rob Diamond..but I think he has a great chance of taking Rob's title.
Well everybody that's all I got for you this week. I hope you enjoyed it and for the final time, Thanks again to Falcon for being here with us, Until next time.
