OPENING
It’s been one year fans, that right, on this date a year ago I rebooted me and my father’s past article “The Fox Report” and turned it into the new “Knitelife” a name chosen by you fans in the first ever poll, a tradition that has been continuing to this day.
I just want to thank all of you for your support over this past year and thank you for being there for each and every one of these Knitelife columns. It feels like it was just yesterday that I started this thing up and in such a short time this little news report has grown to something that I like to think each and every one of you look forward to each week.
I’m honored to say that I’ve been here each and every week in some capacity over this past year, considering the hectic stylings of my past show/column. To bring you this every week for the past year just feels great and I’m glad this has lasted for so long. I look forward to trying for another year, and I hope you will stick with me and stay with the original and the best weekly news programming as to offer. There may be imitators, there might be people who mock it, but I know that deep down that my time spent on this column every week is worth it.
This week’s poll is our typical pay per view poll where I gauge your interest in the matches heading into the show and see just which match that you’re most looking forward to seeing, which match has captured your eye and if you could only pick one match from this show to see, which one would it be? Plenty of great choices, so which is it?
REVIEW
The shows this past week were our typical pre pay per view shows, where everything just seems to be reaching that boiling point, where everything just seems like it could explode at any moment. All I have to do to prove my point is to point at what’s happening between Falcon, Velez, and Alex Jones, or what happened after the main event over Trauma with Simon Daye and Joe Everyman, or even Trish Newborn and Roxxxie, where Newborn demanded her rematch. Then again where would I be if I didn’t mention the huge feud between Rob, Zelda and Steve agaisnt Maniac, Harold and Desiree. Yeah like I said... a ton of action.
Trauma definitely did not disappoint, I was kind of shocked to see Simon Daye’s actions... this guy is so much different now than he was when he was a commentator, his attitude espcially has been an amazing transformation. Along with that the matches were all good on the show, Joe Everyman and Lex Sense put up a hell of a fight against Awesome and Diamond, and Crystal Hilton walks away with a huge victory over Mercedes and Portia. Overall, very well done.
Then of course Collision was a huge show. We got some very good matches, namely looking at two tag team matches that were espcially fantastic. The Internationals had their biggest test to date when they took on two men who will be in the Crossroads main event. They came up just short against Jones and Falcon but nobody could say they weren’t pushing them to the very brink. Then we had an almost “dream match” scenerio when Adam and DDK the tag team champions took on the Young Guns, the National and World champions. It was almost surreal seeing those teams ripping into each other. The fans were on their feet in excitement the entire match and it was fantastic, even if that mysterious woman did make her presence felt which is kind of a shame for such a great contest.
Speaking of “dream matches”, that match between Zelda and Trish Newborn did not disappoint anybody as it was constant action that came down tot he wire, where Zelda once again proved that she can beat you just about any way possible, especially when you think you have the match won.
The big disappointment of the show as Maniac’s set up in the guise of a wrestling match to beat the hell out of Gib. That was a travisty and a sham, I hope that Diamond, Zelda, and Awesome really do a number on him and his little group. No excuse for those kind of actions.
Overall it was another great week. Gotta give the shows a very solid B as they were entertaining and full of action. Nothing to really complain about.
THE FAB FIVE
5. ZELDA KNITE :: Everybody wanted to see it, everybody wanted to know who was the better of the two most dominate women in NCW today, everybody wanted to know if Zelda was really “that” good. Well I guess we got that answer.
4. ANDER CARVETTI :: He took on a former World Champion, the current Honor Champion and I guess his former best friend in a four way match. Pretty impressive when you can walk away from matches like that with a victory.
3. DESIREE TAYLOR :: She got a singles victory over the current World Champion. It took a bit of help from Trish Newborn, but regardless of that, it was still a fantastic win that deserves a mention here.
2. GIB :: Just look at the performance the old timer put up against Maniac before the firing squad came out to put him away. Very impressive, the man still gots it.
1. TODD WILLIAMS :: I’m Todd Williams! Managed to pick up a huge victory over one of the best wrestlers that has ever stepped foot into NCW, Spyke. That’s nothing short of very impressive and I doubt anybody would disagree.

WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON
:: STEVE AWESOME :: What kind of state of mind will he be in this week? He’s had Harold after him this whole time and now it appears Harold has Mandi and the worst part is that it seems Mandi was behind it this whole ti me. Oh what must be going through that man’s mind? Steve might be facing a “monster” this weekend... but I can only imagine what he’ll do... he might be the real “monster” in this match.
:: TODD WILLIAMS vs. PAUL STAR :: Paul Star has been here before, winning an X-Division championship but he was gone before we really got a good look at his talents. He’s come back and already added a Tag Team title to his resume. These two are two guys who are quickly rising to the top of the NCW rankings and on the line is going to be a shot at Rob Diamon’s X Championship. Should be a very good match to see who is going to make that next step.
:: JACK MANSON vs. VENOM :: It’s the National title rematch that has been building for a month now, ever since these two men wrestled to a draw at Metamorphosis. Tempers are flaring and if they had to wait any longer to get at one another I don’t think they would of made it to this point. It’s a situation that wasn’t going to improve until they got their hands on each other inside that ring.
:: ALEX JONES :: This is the match he wanted, this is the fight he wanted to stick his nose into, and it’s finally here with the World Championship on the line. Will he regret his choice to inolve himself in this battle, or will he walk out with the biggest prize around his waist. How will Velez and Falcon take to him being in the match? If they are too focused on each other and not enough on Alex... neither will be world champion at the end of the night.
KNITELINE
Sorry no Kniteline this week... **sad face** I couldn’t get a hold of Maniac... Maybe.. I’ll try again tomorrow and update this? We’ll see.
KNITELINE
:: I can’t believe that it’s Mandi who was behind all of this Harold stalking Steve stuff... wow. Like i said about, I don’t want to know what Steve must be thinking.
:: Crossroads looks like it’s going to be an amazing show... wow, this card is stacked and Wired... you web show viewers are getting a nice little mini pay per view.
:: Fun fact, this is the second time that Alex Jones has been the poster wrestler for a Crossroads pay per view. Last time was Line in the Sand when we had a split pay per view broadcast.
:: I’m hoping that we can make this the biggest NCW pay per view to date. It’s got the huge World title match, 6 Person tag, and National title match along with some damn fine matches on the rest of the card, this just might mee the milestone.
Well fans that’s all I have for this week, I just want to again thank you for following me for the past year, spending every Monday or Tuesday with me and making this whole writing a column thing worthwhile. I wouldn’t be here without your support.
Until Next Time...
-KELLY KNITE.
