Lex Sense: Johnny Boy, you never fail to disappoint by being a disappointment, do you?
{The shot opens to Sense's painted face. No smile, just a look of purpose and drive. The camera pans a bit back to reveal that Lady Die is sitting to his right and Dr. Lyons is sitting to his left. They are bouncing up and down and the sound of an engine makes it clear that they are in the back of a car. Limo even.}
Lex Sense: This is not the first time you pulled this stunt, now is it? We often find ourselves at the edge of our seats, waiting for the "Showtime" to make his big rebuttal only to watch rolls of hay pass us by as crickets chirp. I guess the only time you have anything to say is when you are boring us to death with your self righteous proclamations about how you are here to change the face of the Earth. Now I understand that you may think that WIRED on Cross Roads is not worth a showing but, I beg to differ. Many of you primmadona queers often feel slighted when scheduled on the free show, yet, you fail to recognize that a win here would place you higher in the rankings. I don't mind where a war is waged because all I want to do is battle. Instead, on this occasion I find myself talking to, well... myself. If I did not like the sound of my own voice then one could say that this is a waste of time but I do and it is not.
{Sense shakes his head with a big grin on his face. The limo comes to a halt. He leans over to stare out the window and the camera does the same. We see what he sees. A nice suburban house surrounded by a picket fence. The sun is shining bright as two little girls bounce a ball back and forth.}
Lex Sense: The American Dream. All you wankers break your bodies for it. It consumes your every being. Except for "Showtime" because apparently his dream is to wither into obscurity. Holliday, you may make a promo before the final minute strikes, dictating your goal going into this match, but it is already too late. You can attempt to put up a fight and find that you are hitting a brick wall with your bare fists. Come Cross Roads, you could step into that ring with all the intentions of winning but we all know that your heart is no longer in it. You are a zombie wandering the ranks of nCw brainless and lame. Everyone with a brain has figured out by now that Johnny Holliday makes no show a hit. "Mr. Showtime" makes shows die.
{The glass separating the driver from the passengers rolls down. Guardian is behind the steering wheel and he looks back to address Sense.}
Guardian: Yo! We're here.
Lex Sense: I can see that.
{Lex stares at the little girls as he remembers happier times. Times when his darkness did not overwhelm his soul.}
Ladie Die: Are you having second thoughts?
Lex Sense: I never second guess anything I do. Just waiting for the proper moment.
{The girls notice the black Bentley creepily parked in front of the house. They remember that that was daddies favorite car and run towards it screaming daddy. Lex passes Lady and steps out of the vehicle grinning from ear to ear.}
Girls: DADDY!!
{The girls seem giddy, that is until they notice that the beast that stands before them is not their father anymore.}
Girls: AAAAHH! MOMMY!!
{The girls scream in fear as they run inside the house. A woman, the same woman from Lex's visions steps unto the doorway. She looks shocked as she slams the door shut.}
Lex Sense: Music to my ears. The time has come to reunite with my beloved.
{The rest of Higher Authority step out of the car and they stand side by side.}
Guardian: This ain't a good idea.
Lady Die: Just do what you are paid to do simpleton.
Guardian: Shut yo filthy mouth whore!
Lex Sense: Enough! Don't you dare embarrass me in front of my family. Lady Die and Guardian, please take the back. Doctor, you are with me.
{Everyone scampers to get into position when the visual is frozen in time. Paused if you will. Another Lex steps into the frozen frame and begins to address the situation.}
Lex Sense: Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why it is we do the things we do? A wise old man, or my pathetic father, once told me to understand the answer to this question is to understand the meaning of one's life. If you are as I am you would find me dad's failed attempts at fatherly guidance as ignorant and oblivious as the American Dream. Johnny, when I disregard my face paint and your pretty facial features. When I put aside my height and yours. When I stand you by my side, it's plain as day that you and I view this world quite differently. It is in these differences that I find similarities. In a different world we could have been friends, but in this one, I want to tear down everything you stand for and when all you stand for matters none, it becomes easy for me to walk all over you.
{Lex pats the frozen Sense's face.}
Lex Sense: Why did I take time to stalk my former wife and our two children? The simple answer is because I could and it was worth the effort. Much like the same reason why I bother wasting my time with these words that would most likely fall on deaf ears. I do this because I can and it will be an absolute pleasure to shut you the hell up. Now I know that you haven't said a word to me but I am sure there are many thoughts swirling around that deadbeat brain of yours and those thoughts will be put to rest when I pin you for the count of three. I am no fool and I know that there is still time, and if there was any sense of decency within you, you would take the time to insult me like a any good American would.
{Lex walks out of frame and the visual is unpaused as it continues to play.}
Lex Sense: Let's say hi.
{Lex marches up to the front door and immediately kicks it down! A man standing behind the door is thrown unto his back! Sense stands over the man and grabs his throat with one hand and proceeds to lay in fist after fist until the man's face is covered in blood. Alice and the two young girls scream in horror as Guardian and Lady Die creep up behind them to ensure they have no place to go.}
Alice: LEX!! STOP!!!
Dr. Lyons: Quiet! This is good for his mental health. Closure is always good.
{Sense pounds the dude's face one more time before grabbing his hand and shaking it.}
Lex Sense: Pleasure to meet you. I see you've been banging my wife so I guess that makes you a part of my family.
{Lex mud stomps his face and turns towards his beloved family.}
Alice: HOW DARE YOU!!
Lex Sense: How dare I? You were the one that left me to suffer on my own. You are the one that left England to come to this filthy place. You are the one that stole my children from me. YOU ARE THE ONE THAT TOOK MY SANITY!!!
Alice: You are crazy.
Lex Sense: Maybe so, but that does not change what you did. I am here to show you what you made me. To show you what I have become. I am here to... forgive you for leaving me high and dry.
Alice: What?
Lex Sense: You are forgiven woman. I even forgive this chump for claiming my children as his own. You lot are perfect for each other and I wash my hands of it. Because of you I have found a new family. My life has been reborn and the life that died is better six feet underground. Good- Bye. You will not be seeing me again.
{Sense and crew all smile devilishly as they leave Alice and their twins to deal with the broken man that Lex left behind. Alice seems confused at what just occurred and the little girls are crying their little heads off. They all step into the Bentley and it drives off. The cameraman is inside the cabin as well, still recording Sense.}
Dr. Lyons: Was it worth it?
Lex Sense: More than you'll ever know.
{Lex leans back and smiles into the camera.}
Lex Sense: Holliday, you are no match for me. You do not have what it takes to beat me. You are a long winded hack who never really has anything interesting to say to begin with. If I were you, I would step out of this business and allow Carvetti to bring that name you dragged through the mud back from the dead. I am sick of being held back by memories. I am tired of being told what is right from wrong. More importantly, I will not allow myself to be run over by the sorry likes of you. I would say this is a new beginning for me, but that would be a lie. This is me shedding my past and forgetting about that which made me weak. Love made me weak and hate will make me eternal.
{Sense laughs a bit as the scene fades to black.}
