Lex Sense: "Oh Johnny Boy... The pipes, the pipes are calling..."
{Lex stares at a mirror with a look of content. The man is sober but he seems to be under the influence of something. Not drugs but something much darker. He finds bliss in the pain he's caused.}
Lex Sense: There is something inside that drives me. I guess in a way it drives all of us. This particular feeling guides us all to where we want to be. After all, we all want to be happy. The way we go about to achieve that happiness is different for all of us. I enjoy the pain in others and I find that this week the world weeps in tremendous pain. The events that are unfolding over seas should not bring about happiness yet here I am, with a big smile on my face. Is it too soon? Nah. It's never too soon to laugh in the face of death.
{Lex stares at his own reflection and sees something he has not seeing in quite some time. He sees bliss.}
Lex Sense: However, this promo is not about that. This is about a WIRED match containing two individuals that have a lot to gain from a win. I am hoping to begin a winning streak that will not falter until the next ppv. Holliday is looking for a win... period. I am coming off a bad loss. A loss that took more breath out of me than I'd like to admit. I would be foolish to allow that loss to continue on. I will gain back my momentum and begin my ascent to the top. Whether it be in single's competition or tag. I made a vow to Ricky Johnson that I would hold every belt this company had to offer within a year and I will either accomplish that feat or die trying. I am no fool. I understand that this goal may not be achieved but it will not stop me from attempting to be the best. I am no Holliday. I don't run when the cause is too risky to fight.
(A headache strikes the head of Lex and he is soon shaking off the pain. He stares at his reflection and finds that half of his face is in make up and the other is not.}
Lex Sense: I often see myself through eyes of what once was and eyes that will be. I am confined within my own mind. A prison made up of right and wrong. Of course we all have a conscious but for me, it's quite different. On one side I am the man who I once was. A family man proud of being husband and father.
{The right side of the mirror shows images of children being born. It shows a younger Sense, one without make up to hide his insecurity. This younger Sense is seeing having dinner with his wife, changing diapers, and other similar boring situations.}
Lex Sense: I was a fool to think I could simply push my negative side deep down where noone could find it. This Sense died the moment my brother did. With his death went my sanity. With his death went my family. That is when the other side began to swallow me whole.
{The left image of his face was made up. Wrinkles from his past transgressions fill up his face. The mirror behind this face then shows dark images of Lex screaming while wearing a straight jacket. It shows the various treatments he underwent to fix his mentality, all of which failed, only he would say otherwise.}
Lex Sense: This side of me remembers the treatments. The psychology. The drugs. It remembers the time spent within the walls of Menston. A dark time that shows me the dark path that I must sometimes walk. It is because of this side that I often find myself slipping into incoherent bliss. Do you know what I see when I look at myself through these eyes.
{Lex headbutts the mirror and shattered pieces fall to the floor. Nothing but a black wall remains.}
Lex Sense: The answer is what you see on the floor. Shattered pieces. My family left me for their own good but the truth of the matter is I got rid of them. They were not worth the trouble. Now that I have nothing holding me back, I will become more than what you see today. I have become reunited with my past, present and future. I am a mixture of right and wrong. I am neither here nor there. The gray line between white and black and whatever other cliche you want to say to explain what and who I will become. I am no heel. I am no face. I simply am. Do you care about any of this? Of course not. After all, we all live separate lives and in our own individual efforts we all have personal problems. Just take this into consideration, Johnny Boy, I have traveled far and wide to get here. You can't even make it out of your hospital bed. You may have been great once, but as of today, you have become crippled. This all I have to say about you. Cross Roads begins a new journey for me. One that will lead me to become eternal. Whether any of you like it or not. It starts with your defeat and continues on until one day Rob Diamond falls before me and I have worn every strap of gold there is to wear around my waist. Got it, boyo. Bring everything you have to offer and watch me swat it away like I did my family.
{Lex walks out of the room and finds that Guardian and Lady Die are staring at the news. Coverage of Japan's terror to be exact.}
Lady Die: Quite disturbing.
Guardian: Like yo' bitch ass even cares.
Lady Die: I didn't say I cared fool. I said it was quite disturbing.
Guardian: Sad is more like it.
Lex Sense: Do you know what I see?
Both: ?
Lex Sense: Perfect beach weather.
{Lex slaps the camera filming and it fades to black.}
