6 years ago today. It honestly doesn't feel that long to me, but I wasn't one of the thousands of people that were truely affected by the tragedy on this day, who live each day with the pain it caused. This thread is simply to pay respect to those who lost their lives. Not to discuss whether it was an inside job, or any other reasons it happened. I will end this post with a tribute video I made last year over summer. This isn't to get video hits or comments on it either, this is just me paying my respeects. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Q20PHeQOAA

My heart goes out to everyone that was effected by the tragedy 6 years ago. Even if you didn't have a friend or a family member in that building we as a nation was affected. I remember being in high school and and my first class that morning was government. How ironic. Also sitting there watching this take place was bad movie. I kept saying to myself is this real? Everyone in America and possibly around the world was affected. My heart goes out to everyone once again.

I knew my sister was on her way to NYC and when it happened all I could do was worry if she was okay. And I was in Basic Training and watched it as it happened. It freaked me out completely. It definitely changed the mood of the training.

It was my first year of college..and I was at a community college near where I'm living currently. I was in Biology class when somebody came by and said that a plane had flown into one of the World Trade Centers. We all figured it was just an accident or something, but our instructor went straight to her computer and look it up. No sooner had she looked on the computer had the 2nd one hit...and it was then labeled as a terroristic attack. Our school closed immediately and most of the students went down the hill to our book store where the only cable tv was and crammed into the store watching everything unfold. We all embraced each other as we stood watching it, and not understanding exactly what was going on. We were all crying, nobody could comprehend that something like this could ever happen here. You hear all the time about Israel, Iraq, even Britain.....but nobody could have ever imagined that something like this could happen in the U.S. It was a tragic day, just like any time we lose innocent life. I'll never forget........

The older generations have "You will always remember where you were when JFK was shot" for us, sadly it's 9/11 and not just in the USA, Worldwide.
I'll never forget that the day, the sorrow I felt for the victims...the world was effected and still is today. Walking to the shop and seeing a policeman with a machine gun certainly changes how you see things....let's not got into the 3 hour walk home (that usually takes 10 minutes) due to bomb scares.
My heart goes out to victims of terrorism and their families.
