OPENING
A great week of NCW wrestling has come and past yet again, and here I am... yet again, to bring you the low down on all the juicy news and revelations from the past week. I'm happy to be here yet again fans and I hope you enjoy this column, just like you always do.
On the heels of the amazing Crossroads pay per view, we got some of the answers we were looking for. Zelda Knite reveals that Crystal Hilton is her partner in crime and claimis her reasons for handing Falcon the title was to put Rob Diamond in the title picture. I guess that pretty much squashes all ideas that maybe Falcon and Z were getting back together. Meanwhile, Charlie Velez remains eerily quite on the whole matter. He's vowed to get his company back, but he hasn't confronted Zelda as of yet, I think he's still a bit stunned and doesn't know where to begin at the moment.
Last week our poll was over what you thought the biggest surprise from the show was, and you guys pretty much picked exactly how I thought and spot on, Zelda being revealed as that mystery woman was a huge shocker, and this week we found out how she managed to fool Falcon as well, so it's all starting to come together. I'm a little surprised that Steve ditching Mandi didn't get more votes, because that was a pretty big shocker as well.
This week, we're going to see who you think the next four people to have a chance to qualify will be. I've got 16 people to choose from and you can pick four of them.. remember YOU CAN PICK FOUR PEOPLE and PLEASE DO SO! Should be interesting who you fans think should get in there.
RECAP AND REVIEW
First I'd just like to say congratulations to the two men who have qualified for the Coliseum match this past week. Paul Star managed to get past Andrew Jacobsen to be the first entrant into this chance of a lifetime match and Xander Famularo getting past 3 time National Champion Joe Everyman, trying to follow in his father's footsteps by winning the World title after ripping off the Homeless Harold mask. Those two men defiantly earned their spots in this match, the two competitors that they beat gave them everything they could. Now they just have to get past each other and 4 other men and a shot at A Night to Remember will be theirs.
Another round of congrats should go to Chris Gardner who defended his Honor title against Simon Daye this week and to Roberto Verona who was able to defeat the might and honorable Tommy the Cat... ok... I can't, with a straight face, say that was a great win, but... well it was a win. Lets leave it at that.
The big news of the week though, had to be the formation of EMF on Collision. Zelda and Crystal did the ol' switcheroo by pretending to be at each others throats all week and it paid off when Roxxxie and Ashlie didn't see their attacks coming at all. Crystal announces it was here in the hood in all those meetings with Falcon during this well orchestrated plan that Zelda devised to get at both Falcon and Charlie Velez. They've been friends for a while now, running their “EMF” group in some indy feds between NCW bookings... this isn't going to bode well for anybody who gets in their way, I hate to say it... but it's true.
Then of course to round out some the night with some good action and surprises, we got to see DDK basically throw down the gauntlet against Lex Sense for touching his golden locks, and we got to see the return of everybody's favorite psycotic clown, in Freakke. There were some great hard fought matches for the week and there was some nice twists and turns that we didn't see coming, overall a great set of shows for the week.
HIGH POINTS
:: Xander and Star become the first two entrants in the Coliseum match – Two great wrestlers and it's a pleasure to see them doing well right now.
:: EMF forms – Nobody saw it coming, yet here we are with two of the best female wrestlers in NCW tandeming together to cause havok on and annoy the masses.
:: Freakke returns – Who doesn't love a good clown?
LOW POINTS
:: DDK attacks Lex Sense – Come on? Attacking a guy for touching your wig? Really?
:: Tag Team match turns into brawl – It could have been a great match, but they couldn't stop from fighting their teammates long enough to fight each other, shame.
:: Rob Diamond for the title? - So we all got why Zelda screwed Charlie over, but we didn't quite understand why she helped Falcon... it was to get Rob into the World title picture? No guarantee that plan works you know.
THE FAB FIVE
5:: LEX SENSE:: He picked up a great victory over DDK and the returning Mark Evil on Trauma.
4:: FALCON:: Even though the match turned into a big fight, Falcon managed to keep his wits about him and found a way to pin Brad Kane for the victory. Not an easy feat in all that chaos.
3:: CHRIS GARDNER:: He had a tough competitor who had a victory over him the weeks before in Simon Daye. It was a tough fight, but Gardner comes through defending his belt.
2:: PAUL STAR:: Andrew Jacobsen is always tough and always has the chance of winning a match he's been put in, no matter who his opponent is, so it really was a great win.
1:: XANDER FAMULARO:: He had “one of the top three wrestlers” in NCW this week, and he beat him down. Joe Everyman has been on a little losing streak lately, but what else is new? Great victory for Xander as he joins Paul Star in the Coliseum match.
PREVIEW AND PREDICTIONS
LAST WEEK'S RECORD:: 8-2 :: First off... I'm totally counting me picking Xander over Everyman, since that's exactly what I wanted to happen. Great record this week.
OVERALL RECORD:: 82-26 :: Record is only getting better when I get 80 percent of the week's picks correct. You guys know I'm good at this, admit it.

WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON
:: 8 Person Mixed Tag Team Match :: Well I normally don't point out the matches like this, but it's too big not to bring up really. We've got the newly formed EMF teaming up with Rob Diamond and Steve Awesome, who I guess we can call “Infamous” maybe? Maybe we'll call all four of them that. Either way it's EMF's debute in match as a team, taking on the person they attacked last week in Roxxxie. Rob Diamond and Zelda taking on Alex Jones... who they apparently screwed out of the world title and then we have Johnny Holliday and Stephanie Sullivan coming along for the ride, two of the best wrestlers around to round out this match.
:: SPYKE :: He's getting a chance to instantly put himself back into the world title picture after he had his identity and history stolen from him by Hexx. This is a big break for him, a chance for him to regain his past glory. He's got one hell of a task put out in front of him though, as Ander Carvetti is always one of the toughest opponents on the show.
:: ANDREW JACOBSEN :: He's a had a tough past couple of weeks, however that can all shift at the drop of the hat with a victory over Adam Knite on Collision. They'll kick off the Sunday night action, in what is sure to be a classic match, especially if Ander manages to pull out the win. Keep an eye on this kid, he just could do it.
:: BRAD KANE & DDK vs. CHRIS GARDNER & LEX SENSE :: Well I really shouldn't have to explain why this is interesting. It's Chris Gardner and Brad Kane in the ring together, it's Lex Sense and DDK in the ring together. It's going to be a huge tag team match with all of the angles that are coming to a point here.
KNITELINE
Venom from Atlanta,
Can you tell your sister to stop sending me flowers? I don't hate her but it's kinda hard to hang out with someone who stabbed your best friend in the back and chest.
:: I'm sorry Venom... she's been distant from me and Adam lately, but if I see her, I'll let her know. Just remember though, she's still a kid, so she's probably just trying to say sorry.
Michelle McCool, Undertakers Home.
How do Layla and I get our gimmick back?
:: Who in the hell are you?
Amanda Thompson; Manchester, England
EMF are a great pairing, but what do they think they can achieve in NCW? There's only a singles division for Women. No Women's Tag Team division. Surely once one of them gets close to the Women's title, the other will become jealous, and then things will fall apart between them.
:: I think they can achieve whatever it is they have their eyes set on, what that is? I don't know. I do however know Crystal and Zelda are pretty tight, I don't think friendly competition could rip them apart. They play video games together all the time, they're used to fighting over those.
Concerned Young Gun Fanatic, My parents basement.
Where will the Young Guns go from here? It seems like they can't keep a group together. First JFK and Doc drop off the face of the planet and then Blair is right behind them. Now with the most powerful female that isn't in an announcers booth leaving them they seem to be a sinking ship. Please tell me my favorite Duo still have something up there sleeves?
:: I don't know where they'd go, but it might be good for them to try and go it as a tag team, or just an alliance from here on out. The more outside influences you add to your tight knit group, the more chances you add to be ripped apart at the seems.
Scott Price; Onarga, IL
Tonight marks the 153rd episode of Collision. What would you say was your favourite episode in its four year history?
:: January 25th, 2009. The Episode where I came out and took over and gave NCW to the Revolution, the night me and Adam revealed our relationship to the world with a kiss after he beat Steve Awesome.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
:: We officially have three “Rox's” on the roster now. Foxy Roxy, Roxi, and Roxxxie... doesn't anybody else think this is going to get really confusing, really fast?
:: Charlie Velez is off this week... there is something different about him recently, there is something that seems to be on his mind... I think that knife to the back, my have gotten his heart a bit as well. He'll never admit that.
:: Word backstage is that Falcon is really lamenting on winning the World title the way he did. He had no control over what Zelda did, but he's been giving the nickname of a “paper champion” for it.
:: I'd like to point out that I freaking called Trent Helms being behind the mask! I freaking knew he was going to pull that for the sixth time.
:: GD Mercedes Lewis in the ring again... ugh.
:: Anybody else think it's hilarious that the self proclaimed “top three” wrestler in NCW has lost to two up and coming youngster in the past two weeks, and now has Trent Helms on his plate? Should be interesting.
:: I'm glad to see Freakke back. I missed that clown.
:: Zelda and Crystal have ran this EMF group before, but now is their big chance to do it on the big stage. I can assure you, this is not their big plan.... they've got something else...
:: Happy Birthday Brad Kane!
Well fans that's all I've got for this week, I hope you enjoyed it. Until next time...
