It was on the 25th of February (my birthday, thanks by the way, you jerks.) That a host of us, (Adam, Ed, Myself and others) were bashing on TNA pretty bad in the cbox. One of the last things I remember was that I wondered how sad it was that we just cannot and do not expect good things from TNA storylines and television.
Think about it. Does anyone think that TNA could turn itself around right now? Any of their storys even intrigue you? And I'm not even going to start talking about the absolute catastrophe that happened last Sunday. Even without that, Does TNA has a chance to do anything?
Well, as I told Adam, I'm pretty confident that, with even with very little knowledge of wrestling on the business side, I could book TNA wrestling to the point that their television made sense, storylines went somewhere and had a pretty logical conclusion.
Case in point:
Story: Samoa Joe is kidnapped from the impact zone.
Conclusion: The story, whatever it was supposed to be, and Joe's kidnapping are never spoken of, or talked about and never resolved. Samoa Joe return to TNA a few months later.
So, I'm going to play sort of a "What if" game. I'm going to book TNA for a year, and let's see how I do. My ultimate goal is for TNA to be watchable and presentable as a real, meaningful competition to the WWE
Lets begin. First a few rules:
1: No WWE guys, minus those who have been released up until now, will be hired or bid for.
2: I will have complete booking power over everyone in the company, no one has creative control.
3: The start date for me would be Bound For Glory (10/10/10) (I started this a while back)
4: The TNA Knockouts tag team titles have been retired
5: TNA will actively pursue a network for a 2nd television program.
Now, I'm going to make a few corrections to the history of TNA.
1: The match between Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle that aired on Impact which resulted in a double pin, is changed to a no-contest when Abyss interferes and attacks both men.
2: At Bound For Glory, Kurt Angle turns heel and wins the TNA championship instead of Jeff Hardy.
3: Madison Rayne wins the Knockouts championship at BFG instead of Tara.
Now here would be the working roster:
ROSTER:
Abyss
AJ Styles
Amazing Red
