TNA News - Two hour time slot, Possible taping changes, Konnan update, Rikishi & B. Lawler rumors, and more

TNA's contract with Spike TV expires on September 30. When the conract is renewed it is rumored that TNA will get two hours for Impact from 9 - 11 pm eastern on Thursday nights. Right now TNA tapes two weeks worth of Impact every other Monday. If the two hour time slot goes through they will still do tapings every other week, but this time they would tape Monday for the immediate Thursday, and then tape on Tuesday night for the next Thursday.
TNA has now changed it's negative stance with Konnan in order to prevent him from talking publicly about the company on HBO's Real Sports. They now want Konnan to come back from his suspension with a new storyline involving him leading a AAA team to feud with LAX. Nothing is set in stone as it depends on whether Konnan will accept the money that TNA wants to pay him. It's suggested that Konnan accept the deal because his current TNA contract states that he can not work in the United States unless he works things out with TNA.
Before TNA changed their stance on Konnan, Homicide was issued a fine by the company for a posting on is Myspace in support of Konnan.
Current TNA plans in 2008 call for 96 house shows and 12 PPV's. Two of the PPV's would be in Orlando and the other ten would be elsewhere. Early cities being talked about are Memphis, Knoxville, and the New York area.
Terry Taylor is trying to sign Solofa Fatu (Rikishi) and Brian Lawler to a TNA contract. TNA wants to reunite the tag team, but obviously not as Too Cool, as WWE owns the rights to the name.
Had Ken Shamrock not taken so long in deciding on TNA's offer, he would have been the one to replace Scott Steiner, to team with Rick Steiner, at the TNA Slammiversary PPV. Road Warrior Animal ended up getting the spot.
Samoa Joe was recently married and several of the wrestlers attended.
