OPENING
Well, how about we just get it out of the way shall we? WOW! Sovereign was fantastic, what a night. A lot of effort went into that show with the production and the plights of every wrestler on the show. We had an amazing night and the experience was almost surreal at points. We crowned two new World Champions, while both Tag Team champion teams remained in tact, as if there were any doubt on that, and we have our Gladiator. Amazing stuff.
Now we’re moving on to one of NCW’s “Big Two” pay per views, other than Road to the Gold, the biggest even NCW produces every year... A NIGHT TO REMEMBER. It’s already shaping up to be an amazing pay per view with our main event already set with Rob Diamond taking on his girlfriend’s brother and current Gladiator, Xander Famularo. That just writes itself folks. Going to be very interesting, and I’m looking forward to the build up, to see how this effects both men.
I can’ t dwell on A Night to Remember right now, because we have an entire month to get to it, instead lets just go to the poll last week where I asked who you thought would win... Steve Awesome overwhelmed the poll with votes in his favor, but it looks like you fans were wrong. It was a great, safe choice however and he was a hair away from winning... hell might have done it if it wasn’t for the purple haired wonder Trent Helms.
This week... We're going to see how much you loved this Coliseum Match. A couple of weeks ago I asked about what you though of the six entrants and we got a bit of a mixed reaction from that, I'm willing to wager a guess that match changed a few minds.
RECAP AND REVIEW
Ok, the show was incredible, I could really end my describtion of it right there and I’m sure nobody would call me out on it. We saw the first ever 2x Women’s World champion crowned, we saw Rob Diamond finally capture the World title gold that he has so desperately been searching for, the end of Brad Kane’s NCW career, and saw the son of NCW former World Champion and current General Manager step up big time and became the fourth Gladiator in NCW’s history.. amazing I tell you.
//BEST MATCH//
The best match of the night was clearly the Coliseum match, not to take anything away from the great competitors in the other matches of the evening, but there is a reason this match is our main event on every Sovereign pay per view and this week was no different. From the second the bell rang we were on our seats as literally from any point then onwards any person inside that ring could win, and they certainly tried to do just that, wasting no time in ripping each other apart. Mark Evil dazzled fans and put up a hell of a fight, showing that continued dedication that’s made him a big time threat since his return to NCW and we saw Paul Star just come a hair away from pulling out the true underdog victory. However in the end, thanks to Trent Helms throwing himself from atop the cage, it was Xander Famularo who was able to pick up the victory, adding another hightlight to the legacy of the Gib children. Five star match.
//WORST MATCH//
Then of course with the highlight of the night, comes the opposite on the spectrum... the worst match of the evening... real shame seeing the boy scout siding with the Young Guns, but I guess that’s happens when you’ve been losing for two months straight outside one roll up victory and have a powerful group come calling... hard to resist. I hope Jacobsen is happy in his new role as lackey though, I really do.
//HIGHT POINTS//
There were plenty of “high points” this week, I could point out a number of victories and a number of efforts I don’t think anybody would argue, but this week it cleary has to go to Rob Diamond for the absolute highest point of the show. Unless you’ve watched his evolution from the day her arrived through those doors, you just don’t understand what this kid has gone through to evolve and climb to the top of the NCW mountain. He’s finally done it and his reaction holding the belt speechless in the middle of the ring was amazing.
Certainly Gib’s son wint the Coliseum was another highlight of the night, but I think I’ve harped on that enough. I would say another high piont for me personally was Knitely Bangs defeating EverySense. Joe and Lex came into this match arrogant and brash, full of confidence that they’d walk away with the belts. They harrassed me, Zelda, and even threw Adam through a car window, but in the end it was them getting banged. DDK and Adam still World tag team champions.
//LOW POINTS//
Well the X-Rays are in and it would appear that Tommy the Cat walked out of Sovereign with a broken sternum from his match against EMF. It was a high point seeing Cat Lady refuse to roll over against EMF, but it was a very low point to see them “manhandle” Tommy the way they did... they had him beat, no reason to pick him up and do it again... then to add insult to injury... they ripped off his mask and gave him the “loser” stamp. Very low point on EMF’s part, borderline degenerate with what they did, you should never touch a wrestler’s mask like that.
I guess I’m allowed to count it... Spike Kane coming out and attacking Chris Gardner. I understand the man just retired your twin brother, but come on, there was no reason to ruin his victory like that... Brad Kane asked for what he got.
So overall, we had a flat out, simply put, nothing else you can say... AMAZING show. From top to bottom the action was intense and the emotion from everybody involved was great. Lets hope that A Night to Remember can live up to the excitement of this event.
THE FAB FIVE
5. KNITELY BANGS:: EverySense tried every trick in the book to try and get some sort of advantage this past month, but none of it worked, not stalking, not whining, not using their big boy voices, because Knitely Bangs are on a roll.
4. CHRIS GARDNER:: You’re put in a career versus career match against one of the more decorated wrestlers in NCW history and you usually don’t come out looking so hot. Chris Gardner didn’t let something like that get to him or slow him down.
3. TRISH NEWBORN:: We have our first ever two time Womens World champion, she finally got that elusive victory against Roxxxie out of the way too, extra special win.
2. ROB DIAMOND:: I believe I’ve said just about everything I could possibly say about this elsewhere in this column. He’s been trying so hard to get to this point, it’s a pleasure to see him finally reach it. He’s finally the NCW World Champion.
1. XANDER FAMULARO:: This was a tough one as clearly I could of put Rob Diamond here, however, I’m going to give Xander the nod because he had to survive the Coliseum and five other men one of which happened to be Steve Awesome. Huge victory, made his father proud, I promise you that.
PREVIEW AND PREDICTIONS
LAST WEEK’S RECORD:: 11-3 :: If it wasn’t for my predictions on the WebShow I would have only made one wrong prediction for the entire pay per view lineup. That’s some good predicting, admit it.
OVERALL RECORD:: 118-43 :: Not much I can say anymore, I guess I can just let the record start speaking for itself.

WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON
THE MAIN EVENTS:: Well as you can see the main events were both Trauma and Collision are both eerily similar. Well there is a method to that madness it’s both fo the newly crowned World Champions in Xtreme matches. A chance for them to really show off as a brand new champion, a chance to see how they’re going to follow up their huge title victories now on the weekly shows. Should be very interesting in both matches, they have a couple of touch competitors that they’re up against.
MARK EVIL:: He’s been turning heads since his return and it didn’t change once during that Coliseum match, he should a fight, a drive to win in that match, but how is he going to follow that up this week? He gets a rematch of sorts against the man he had to go through to get into this match, that should be interesting to see if Ricky Johnson goes into that match with a little extra drive to win.
FALCON vs. JOE EVERYMAN:: Both men ended up on the losing end of matches on Sovereign. Falcon lost his world title in a close match and Joe Everyman ran into the Knitely Bangs express train. Both men took completely different stances going into this show. Falcon built up his competition and tried to show him some respect where Joe Everyman went the “Rawr look at me, I’m a badass trying to act tough and degrade my opponent” route. Neither seemed to work for either man, should be a good match between two good wrestlers.
TODD WILLIAMS & STEVE AWESOME:: Well this is pretty self explanatory... Steve Awesome trying to move in on another man’s wife.... He’s like addicted to married women with kids for some reason. Either way, very interesting. Might just turn into nothing more than a glorified brawl, sure wouldn’t doubt it.

"Hypothetically.....if Trent Helms were to die a horrific and bloody death......would you miss him? Honestly.....would you? Can you make that a poll?"
:: Yes I would miss Trent, thank you. I'm sorry you two are having this big of a scuffle, but come on... what would NCW be without Trent Helms?
Patricia Newborne
San Diego, Cal
Tell me Kelly, how did it feel to be sitting in the announce position last night and witness history as I became the first ever two-time nCw Women’s World champion? Did it burn inside knowing you could never achieve such as goal because you are simply just an announcer, who might I add, wouldn’t even be that if your father hadn’t hired you while he was the owner. Yeah, you beat Zelda. Congrats on that accomplishment, it’s still almost like fighting with yourself, isn’t it? Sovereign has just been branded a Young Guns pay-per-view so get used to seeing me in the sun while you call the matches.
Oh, cute baby… May Auntie Patricia hold him some time?
:: Who are you again?
Trent Helms - Toronto, Canada
Hey Kelly, Can we just like you know, sewn Steve Awesome mouth suck, I mean, nobody cares about him, other then thoses abs...
:: Yeah but "thoses" are some great abs....
Crystal Hilton, Hollywood California
Hey Kelly can't little purple haired annoying people go back from the world they came from? And for the record I am in love with Steve Awesome. Tell us how awesome he is kelly!
:: I know they have crazy customs and eat way too much maple syrup but Canada isn't another world. Ditz.
Xavier Williams
Chilling on some beach in Mexico
"Yo Kelly, what it is? I have a question... what is with every wrestler calling in asking you to stroke their ego? Isn't that why they are given camera crews and such? It's kind of weird.. anyway adios"
:: It's better than them asking me to stroke.... other things... then I'd have to file harassment charges and all kinds of other mess... rather they just ask questions and let me ridicule them.
Steve Awesome
Detroit, MI
Hey Kelly, Can we just like you know, get Trent Helms some hooked on phonics? I hate him with every fiber of my soul but for the life of me I can't figure out a damn word he says....
:: Hey says you're a dill hole. Babelfish works like a charm.
Roxxxie
Juneau, Alaska
I can't believe Jacobson defected to The Young Guns... Do you think The Rat Pack will ever come back?
:: I didn't even know he was in the Rat Pack... what's the "Rat Pack"?
Brian, Malibu, California
Kelly, now that Roberto Verona has defeated Todd Williams and removed the monkey from his back, what do you think is next for the self-assured Italian? Is it over between those two?
:: Oh this isn't over by far... if I know anything about Todd Williams it's he's hard headed, he's not going to forget this attack.
Todd Williams, Long Island New York
is it over is it over? Sorry Kelly let me answer this question for this fan. It ain't over between me and Verona by a long shot, and the only way he won is because he had his young guns interfere. I wanna throw it out there Kelly, Todd vs Roberto A Night To Remember X Championship.... Steel cage match... im tired of this interference and roberto can't beat me without interference.... As far as question how do you see me in my quest to take the young guns down....
:: See... told ya so.
Rose Bud Zombie Fanatic, Dallas and Hollywood Texas California, Emf Fan Club
So we all saw EMF destroy the cat team, and destroy tommy the cat....Is there any two people in this company that can silence them? Will we see anyone step up to rid them of their starlet titles?
:: With the influx of active females on the roster lately, I think somebody will step up to take them on, we'll see... but I don't know if anybody can shut them up... hell Falcon punched Zelda in the mouth and it only made her talk MORE. So it's not likely.
Matt Taft, El Segundo, California
Kelly Kel! What is going down?! So I was watching this match between EverySense and Knitely Bangs and I says to meself, "DAMN! THAT **** WAS OFF DA HOOK!". A lot off emotion was left out on that ring and something tells me that things are not over yet. Do you feel like this feud is going to continue?
Also, that main event was off the chain yo! Them fools went all out and Xander taking on Rob is going to be epic b! Do you think Rob has the advantage seeing as he holds a win over Xander? One of a handful of wrestlers to beat the fool I might add.
:: I have no idea. I know Adam and DDK proved their point, but the question is are Joe Everyman and Lex Sense stubborn enough to try it again? Who knows.
It's going to be a great match... that whole Rob dating Xander's sister, and Xander being the one who rid NCW of Maniac, Rob's Brother... is going to be be a focal point of these two in the upcoming weeks.
Melly Mel AKA Biggest Young Guns fan in all of Mississippi,
Oh My GAWD! Did you see how much the Young Guns did last night? Of course you did, you were sitting right there! Now, let me ask you, being the most anti Young Guns announcer, do you know realize that you were wrong? Do you now realize that Venom knows what he's doing? Do you now realize that they are and forever will be a force in NCW? They now have two of the top three titles, a man who seems to be on his way to winning the X Championship, and the sexiest man on the planet *Faints in the middle of sentence*
:: I'm sorry, I was too busy watching important people wrestle... like the six men in the Coliseum, Rob winning the World title, Tag Team champions retaining... Brad Kane's NCW career coming to an end and Spike Kane winning the rights to his name back. Couldn't be bothered watching some group that people stopped caring about months ago when the top two wrestlers in it left. (Zelda and Charlie)
CLOSING THOUGHTS
:: Am I the only one that finds it weird that the Young Guns would try to add a spark to their group with the addition of the least charismatic person the roster? Am I the only one who sees that as kind of a half assed way of thinking?
:: In all honesty, I’m kind of disappointed in Trent for getting involved in the Coliseum match. A match like that should be sacred, we shouldn’t have people running in and doing whatever they please out there.
:: There has been a recent surge in the Womens Division, it’s larger than it’s been a good while... is this a sign of more attention is going to be put into those ladies, is it a sign of possibly instating the Starlets Tag titles as legit belts? Possibly bringing back the Millenia title as a second tier womens title? Interesting what could come of this.
:: Brad Kane has left the building.... must admit that it’s kind of sad seeing somebody who was in both the first ever Collision and Suspense main events leaving us. Good luck in everything from here on out Brad Kane, you were with NCW on day one, you’ll be missed.
Well I guess that's all I have for this week. I hope you enjoyed it and until next time...
