OPENING
Another week is in the books fans and with an amazing set of shows behind us, we look forward to the upcoming, huge, monumental, amazing, fantastic... whatever else you can think of event... A NIGHT TO REMEMBER. This year's show is going to be nothing short of amazing fans, looking up and down the cards all I see is an action packed show that you will regret not seeing for the rest of your life if you miss it.
Ok, maybe there was a tad bit of hyperbole in there, but I don't care, I'm telling you this is going to be a show to remember, as if the name wasn't enough of a tip off towards that already, and the shows this week just pushed the excitement levels through the roof. Just the anticipation and excitement backstage, the intense looks on everyone's faces... people have been waiting for this moment for an entire year and it's finally here, finally ready to kick off, I don't know if I can wait five more days for this. You think I'm joking? Just wait and see.
Now this past week's poll was an interesting one for my short version Knitelife and I think you all made an interesting choice considering I was sure Trent versus Steve was going to win this, but I mean I'm never against my husband winning a poll in some way so I'm not saying you picked bad. It certainly was interesting watching DDK bring back the classic Dirty Deal invented match type of the Lynch Mob Match, should be a great match and hopefully no matter what happens a great end to this feud between both teams.
Now this week we of course are going with the tried and true Pay per view classic of which match you're most looking forward to.
RECAP AND REVIEW
Ok, I mentioned it above, but seriously... this week's shows were amazing, just plane awesome and I don't even know where to begin. I mean just look at the matches we say like the main event of Collision that featured so many different angles going into the match and the pick your poison contests, everything just flowed wonderfully and in the end made for a great show.
The winners of our poll last week, the tag teams of Knitely Bangs and EverySense just couldn't contain their hatred for each other and maybe Angel should have slapped the “no contact” demand on them instead of Trent and Steve... on second thought... maybe both, since we know Steve and Trent would have killed each other by now if not for it... which does make me worry about both of their well beings going into this show. Trent did his best to try and overcome the Young Guns odds stacked against him, but the stars just weren't in line that night, and Adam almost had Steve Awesome if not for seemingly everybody rushing to the ring.
Then of course... the story of the night, Xander punching his own sister so hard she is knocked out cold. I had been begging for some Rob and Xander confrontations for weeks leading up into this show, but I didn't think for a second things would escalate to these levels. I guess that's what happens though when you have two very young stars main eventing the biggest show of the year, tensions are at unreal levels and things just explode. That's certainly what happened here, Rob gives Xander the old kick tot he scrotum technique and steals the win for his team... Xander tries to retaliate and possibly seriously hurt his sister and the love of Rob's life. I don't know what to say about this other than the main event for ANTR just got way interesting.
//BEST MATCH//
Well I think the best match of the night had to go to the main event, that was quite the showing there, and I loved watching Chris Gardner constantly screwing his partner over. He didn't do the old school walking out thing, he just stayed there and screwed Spike over and over. Then of course seeing Xander and Rob's breakdown as Rob doesn't even attempt to play the part of the friendly alliance, Rob giving Xander that kick to the privates may have opened up a huge can of worms.
//WORST MATCH??
Had to be the opening match, can't stand to see Hexx and Happy and I espcially can't stand to see them screwing around a good young team that is working it's way up the ranks. I'll be glad when the Internationals put an end to these two.
//HIGH POINTS//
Seeing Adam and Steve square off one more time was certainly a high point for anybody who knows the history between those two, and how much I hyped on it for months and months you better know. It's fun watching those two wrestle against one another, no matter when it takes place.
I mentioned it above... Chris Gardner's actions on the show were fun to watch. Any fool can just walk out on your partners, Gardner he took it to a new level... breaking up pins that would give his team the win and just toying with Spike, it was fun... until he got Thunderstruck that its.
//LOW POINTS//
Obviously have to start off with Zelda taking one to the face... AGAIN. That girl is like a magnet for men's fists. I would say she should have stayed away and out of it.... but it was her long lost brother (who she is trying to get more acquinted with) and her boyfriend about to kill each other... rough spot and because they were unable to act like men instead of boys, she paid the price... who would have ever thought Zelda would have been the mature person in the ring?
EverySense... need I say more?
THE FAB FIVE
5. TRENT HELMS:: Hey, he didn't win the match but he sure put up one hell of a fight. Odds totally against him and he did better than could be expected.
4. JOE EVERYMAN:: Are my eyes decieving me or is that Joe Everyman with two wins in a row?! Congratulations there Joe, keep up the good work my crappy little punching bag.
3. LEX SENSE:: And EverySense with back to back honors here. Not easy facing a champion in a singles match and even though he had a bit of help it was still an impressive feat with a victory over THE Todd Williams.
2. MERCEDES VARGAS:: My secret other life Tag Tam partner picked up a huge singles victory over the former Women's Champion in a one on one contest that saw her really not have to put that much effort into the match... great solid victory for Mercy.
1. ROB DIAMOND:: Well... even though his actions got Zelda decked, he still did a great job this week and picked up the victory for his team in this huge main event contest. Give it to the champ, he doesn't take weeks off.
PREVIEW AND PREDICTIONS
LAST WEEK'S RECORD:: 9-0 :: Yes that's right... not a single wrong prediction... I'm not even going to gloat about being 29-2 in the past three weeks, nope. Not going to do it... just let it speak for itself.
OVERALL RECORD:: 154-45 :: I didn't think it was going to be possible to reach 150 before 50, I didn't think that I could pull it off, but I came through in the clutch is what I did. You all better recognize my mad prediction skills.

WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON
TRENT HELMS vs. STEVE AWESOME:: Well if this wasn't obvious enough, I mean come on.. it's the Dragon's Den and the world title #1 contendership will be on the line. These two HATE each other... HATE. I can't stress that enough... for two men who once lived together it's been three years in the building for this moment. Who walks out of the Den standing and who is going to get carried out on a stretcher?
ROXXXIE:: There is a big match on this show that features 2 titles on the line, and Roxxxie is the only one in the match who is sitting pretty. She has nothing to lose here, she can either try to steal one against her partner and become the women's champion or she can try and take EMF's tag team titles, without any ill effects to her. It should be interesting to see where she goes with this.
SIMON DAYE vs. FALCON:: Well, it looks like Simon couldn't even last two weeks before he popped off at the mouth again and get Falcon questioning his heart. This match is all about Falcon proving something to Simon, proving that you have to want to be a wrestler more than life if you want to make it to where Falcon has in this life. Should be the most interesting match of the night.
KNITELINE
Mickie S. Lame, Hardcore Country
Ya know Kelly, this ladies division has been on a rise lately. Where do you hope to see this division go in the next year or so? Are you expectin' it to one day surpass the men's? I'm all for gal power. YEEHAAA!
:: I hope to see the new Tag titles really take off and the women's division to even reinstate the Millenia title as a second tier title again. It would make from some great action for them to have other belts to challenge for.
Josh Gibson, Washington D.C., Washington
As a father, I have always been able to rely on nCw for some good quality programming. Every Saturday and Sunday night the kids and I would sit down and enjoy some fine wrestling but lately this situation between Knitely Bangs and EverySense has gotten out of hand. These two teams are running around nearly killing each other and this past weekend I had to turn my children away so they wouldn't pick up on such violent behavior. I hope you are ready to bury your husband because by the looks of it, these two teams aren't going to quit until they kill each other. My question for you is, how can Leanord Fox sit back and allow this type of behavior to continue without repercussions?
:: Daddy for the most part tries not to get in the middle of people's fights, preferring to let them try and settle it before he has to jump in. If this goes beyond a lynch mob match I'll be surprised. Gotta remember sometimes we can't stop everything before it gets too far on camera.
Zak Morris, California
I've noticed that Wes Fox has become a staff member within NCW. Is he a relation to Leonard and what is his role within NCW?
:: He's my adopted older brother, and he's some kind of executive assistant to my father because he's been begging for a spot in the company... he's so jealous of me... god.
Dave Jennens, Birmingham, England.
Hey Kelly, I've been a fan of nCw since it opened back in 2007. Back then the two biggest names were Lance Ryan and Spike Kane, the Superman to their Lex Luthor if you will. Nowadays Lance is retired and most people seem to think that Spike is a shell of what he used to be. Do you think the God of Xtreme is still in there? What he did to Hexx was pretty insane....but do you think he will ever be at the level he was back then, or has his time come and gone?
:: Spike will always be a top notch competitor and athlete, the size of that man's heart and his determination are unquestionable. He's still got it, it's just that everybody brings their A game for him.
Ferrie Bodde, Swansea, Wales
Hey Kelly, really looking forward to nCw arriving in the UK after ANTR! I just wanted to ask who you think are the potential future superstars of the company based on recent months and recent applications? Also, how many title changes do you think we will se at ANTR?
:: I still see Andrew Jacobsen and Roberto Verona being two of the top stars in this company in a short time period. I expect even more so to see Todd Williams and Chris Gardner there sooner than later.
CLOSING
Well everybody I hope you enjoyed an on time edition to the Knitelife this week and I sincerely hope you'll either be there for A Night to Remember or are planning on ordering it live off pay per view. It's going to be a show to remember, it will live up to it's name I promise.
Until Next Time...
