You know what’s really a bad idea, Alysson? You, thinking you’ve got a chance at beating me at A Night to Remember. I’m kind of disappointed that you don’t even take me seriously. I’m hurting right now, Alysson. Really, I am. The fact that I’m not even on the top of your “to-do” list is bad enough, but when you said “I’ve got better things to do...” That was your first mistake. You want to talk about history? Sure. How about a pop quiz? Ready, Alysson?
The last time we were on a pay-per-view, you were predicted to win that battle royal at Sovereign, but who was the last woman standing, hmm? Here’s a hint, Alysson: it wasn’t you. It was someone who they least expected; the one who was ignored, i.e. ME, that just happened to win that match.
No, Alysson, you've got it all wrong. I didn't stick my nose in your business. The second you turned on me in that tag match was when I became your business, and there's two things you can do about it: nothing and like it. Disappointed? Oh, excuse me, you must have me mistaken for someone who gives a damn. Looks like you’ll be wasting your precious time on me again, sweetheart. You are right about one thing though: I am destined for greatness in nCw. After I’m done with you, I’m moving on to bigger and better things...
I just had an epiphany. I think I know who the real Alysson Gardner is. Take away the accolades, and the championships, and the cameras; look past all of the tough talk and you’re left with just a girl. I have to be careful of how I express my opinions of you because I’d hate to see you break down crying. (imitating Alysson) “Why is she so mean to me? What did I do to deserve this?"
What you seem to have forgotten, Alysson, is that while you’ve chosen to go with the devil you know, then the devil you don’t know, there were consequences and repercussions that went along with it. And on Sunday, you will pay. I'm looking forward to the pleasure of having you all to myself, Alysson. No Mercedes Lewis, no EMF, just you and me in that ring. One of us will be left standing, and the other? Well, let's just say they should have called in sick that day. That's not much of an option, but it seems as if I've been given a few of my very own. Let's see now: do I run away, forget this ever happened, or continue to make your life miserable? Hmmm...they all look so tempting. Decisions, decisions.
(Mercedes pauses placing a single finger on her chin.)
I don’t know, Alysson. Can I trade this job for what's behind door #4? (nodding her head) Never mind, I'll take my chances with making your life a living hell. Oh, and you're welcome. And one other thing. I’m glad that you’ve noticed I’ve got Spike’s attention. And you don’t really mean that, do you? Spike putting his hands on little ole’ me? You're bluffing. He couldn’t be that callous.
So, you’re on a mission? You want to make a fool of your brother? Good luck with that, sweetheart, but as far as Sunday goes, consider this not just a mission impossible, but a mission impossible to ignore.
