OPENING
Hello fans, sorry I’m a day late, but don’t worry I haven’t forgotten about all of my adoring fans out there and I certainly haven’t forgotten about what was truley A Night to Remember this past Sunday, So here I am once again ready to give you the rundown on all the actions and all the inside scoops going on this week in NCW.
So I guess the big news would be the exchanging of gold over the weekend, but I’m not talking about title belts... I’m talking about a golden ring with a huge ass rock on top of it that Rob Diamond gave Zelda Knite in the middle of the ring in front of a roaring Miami crowd. It was a touching a moment, one of those dream come true situations just like when Adam proposed to me after defeating Ace for the world title, I can’t help but feel incredibly happy for her, good luck to them.. engaged and both holding World titles... it’s like a fairy tale.
Now enough of that “love” stuff... lets get on with what we really are here for... the “rasslin”. The show was amazing, are you kidding me? Every singles title minus one changed hands, we have a fresh new batch of champions and we saw Spike Kane claim some gold for the first time in what I think has to be two years in NCW. So definetly a lot was going on and a lot of action will carry on into this week on Collision as well.
So our poll last week was our normal poll heading into the Pay Per View over what match you were most looking forward to, and despite the fact I caught 4 times the normal vote coming from Trent Helms’ ip address, Knitely Bangs versus EverySense took home the win and I know I may seem biased but I’m not here, it was an incredible match so you did well. Trent Helms versus Awesome or Rob versus Xander would have been perfectly great choices too, but it is what it is.
This week... I'm going to go the classic route that I typically go after a PPV and see what you thought was the biggest moment of the night. Should be interesting considering all that happened on this show.
RECAP AND REVIEW
There aren’t enough words in the english language to describe how much I loved this show. There really isn’t. From seeing The Internationals slap around Hexx and Happy to Rob Diamond getting on a knee and proposing to Zelda it was a show that was filled to the brim with action and suspense.
The Young Guns lost two title belts when Zelda Knite pinned Trish Newborn to recapture the belt she made famous, and Venom’s long National title reign came to an end in what I consider the most underrated match of the evening where Alex Jones and Ricky Johnson along with the then champ put on a show for the fans. See folks... matches like that are what make wrestlers like Alex Jones, Ricky Johnson and Venom special... you can’t describe it... it’s just “good” you can’t even debate it. Yet, the Guns gained a title when Roberto Verona finally took the belt from Todd Williams in their intense leather strap match that you fans voted to have, so it wasn’t a complete loss for the group, even though it appears Venom will be out for a few weeks to tend to some injuries.
Then of course one of the sickest most brutal matches I’ve ever seen went down between Trent Helms and Steve Awesome all for a chance at the world title inside a Dragon’s Den. Those two clearly had the biggest match of the night and damn near ended each other’s careers infact, there is some serious doubt if Trent Helms will ever recover from that match as he’s suffered a major concussion from it. Which just might be one of the saddest days in NCW history if true.
The show was fantastic... there is no denying it. On a scale from 1-10.. definitely a 9.5.
//BEST MATCH//
Obviously the best match of the night was Trent Helms versus Steve Awesome in that Dragon’s Den, there is no doubt about it. I’m not trying to diminish what any other match was able to accomplish and I’m not saying the matches were bad in comparison, but this match was sensational from beginning to end and there was so much emotion involved with seeing Steve finally get that win over Trent.
//WORST MATCH//
I wish I could say “none of them” here, but I don’t take the easy way like that. I guess if I were pressed to just one match that was worse than everything else... it would be Alysson Gardner versus Mercedes Vargas and again... that doesn’t mean it was bad... it was a good match... just have to pick one of them.
//HIGH POINTS//
Well the big high point would have to be seeing two kids in love deciding that they want to spend the rest of their lives together, and deciding to show the world that on pay per view television was a tear jerker but I’m probably a bit biased here because that was my little sister up there.
With the biased invovled in that one, I’ll have to say seeing Alex Jones win the National title for the first time after being such a long time figure in NCW was a fantastic sight, with the match in general being very good as I said above, if I gave out a reward for the most underrated match, it would have clearly been that one.
//LOW POINTS//
The biggest low point of the night was obviously Trish Newborn punching Roxxxie after their loss. I know it’s hard losing a match like that, and I know it’s usually easier to blame your partner than yourself.. but Roxxxie had put away her disdain for Newborn for a common goal and she fougth that match as if her and Newborn had been best friends for years.... coming up short there was no reason for that attack.
THE FAB FIVE
5. ROBERTO VERONA:: I hate to give the Young Guns credit, but I will when there is the opportunity to and here is the opportunity to... just this once, because it was a great win over the X Champion.
4. ZELDA KNITE:: She put the tag team title on the line and in turn got a shot at the world title, it wasn’t the best match I’ve ever seen her wrestle but in the end the first Starlets triple crown winner came out with her second world title.
3. ALEX JONES:: I said it above, he finally got that National title... it’s not the World title that he’s been chasing his entire NCW career but it’s not going to hurt to establish that he is indeede worthy of a possible shot in the future.
2. ROB DIAMOND:: He retained the World title, but when I asked him after the match how it felt, he said the bigger prize came later when Zelda said yes... that kid is not only a great wrestler, but when he wants he can be a great guy as well.
1. STEVE AWESOME:: God I hate to do this, but... it was an incredible match and it was brutal to just watch them cutting each other’s careers short... It was intense and he got a world title shot from it, the only question no is...an he and Rob stay friends through this?
PREVIEW AND PREDICTIONS
LAST WEEK’S RECORD:: 10-2:: Just cant’ get enough of seeing those near perfect predictions week in and week out can you? I know me either, it’s so great... I come up big in the biggest shows.
OVERALL RECORD:: 164-47:: I’ll just let that speak for itself, nobody can touch me when it comes to predictions.

WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON
ASHLIE EMBER:: I normally wouldn’t point out somebody so insignifigent, but I believe this is her first match since she defeated Trish Newborn a few weeks ago in Newborn’s first match as the two time champion, so should be interesting if she can build off that win, but she’ll have to do it in a tag team match.
EVERYSENSE vs. BIRD DAYE:: Well it looks like Falcon beat some sense (no pun intended) into his young apprentice and they’ll be going up against the team that for the second straight pay per view has failed to capture the tag team gold from Knitely Bangs, maybe this match is to see who might deserve a shot next? I don’t know, but it’s going to be interesting... notice it’s Daye and Joe Everyman across the ring from each other again.
JIMMY ZANE:: Hey would you look at that... Jimmy Zane makes his return to NCW announcing that he was returning at A Night to Remember, gotta say it was an ambitious idea to returnt he way he did, the only question is can he live up to a return like that? Who knows... if history has taught us anything? Probably not.
KNITELINE
This week we have a special interview for all you fans, you’ll get to click the video below and see my exclusive interview with Steve Awesome last night. It was interesting as you probably already know with the history between he and I but we had a nice talk and I think you’ll get some insight into the Face of the Franchise after his big win against Trent Helms.
Kelly: Steve.
Steve: Kelly.
-awkward pause-
Steve: Kelly.
Kelly: Steve.
-awkward pause-
Kelly: -cough- I guess before we begin... I hate you.
Steve: and i think your cute when your mad so its win win
Kelly: So.... with that out of the way. Lets cut the small talk shall we... Trent Helms, finally got that win huh? I mean... only took you what? 10 tries over 3 years?
Steve: yeah....it took three years. lets not forget Trent sat on his ass jerking iit for two of them
Kelly: It was.. I have to admit, an excellent match and you two gave it your all, what was going through your mind when you realized... when it finally hit you that you had done it and earned a shot at the World title?
Steve: “I finally did it.” I finally proved that i was better then Trent helms. It feels amazing, The first thing I felt was redemption. The moment i stole the world title from Trent really jump started my career and people always wondered if it was because i injured him and cheated to win but Sunday i proved that i never needed to injure Trent to win that belt. I had the ability all along and then to get the title shot on top of it? something ive been working towards for months while other idiots just walked in and claimed them. It was like the weight of the woorld was lifted off my back
Kelly: It must have felt great, like a giant weight being lifted form your chest, but soon after it you realized that with Rob retaining that you would be facing your best friend and tag team partner for that title now. Did you and Rob talk about this possible situation going into the show? Are you two prepared to be facing one another?
Steve: We talked about it, and Rob has agreed to lay down in the middle of ring and give me the belt.
Kelly: Steven... I think you know me better than that.
Steve: alright you caught me. Could you imagine? Seriously though, we haven't really talked about it all to be honest with you. But it's not like he doesn't already know. He saw me put Trent Helms into a coma, he knows I'm his next challenge. And he knows how much I want that world championship. I know I'm prepared, and if I know Rob as well as I do, I know he's prepared too. He didnt become world champ by being a scrub.
Kelly: You can say that again, he's been chasing that belt so long... but now... you have as well... you brave enough to give us a little bulletin board material? Guarantee a win maybe? Any thing you want to say about it?
Steve: Well I read a few of the internet blogs and some people seem to think that I'm going to turn on Rob because I'm the contender and he's the champion. I've herd people say that I'm going to injure him or take him out to get what I want. And you know what....I kind of understand why they would say that. I dont have the best track record when it comes to trust. But would I do that to Rob Diamond? The man is my best friend and probably the only man that I would get my knife to the chest rather then in the back. But then again, the world title is on the line. So who really knows right? The only thing I'll guarentee is this..... Rob and I are the two very best in the company today. The rankings don't lie. We've been tearing through the roster since we've debuted and now we come face to face for the world championship. I guarentee that were going to make Reborn our bitch as soon as that bell rings.
Kelly: Gotta say Steve, one thing that always amazed me about you is how you could totally whole heartedly deny something, yet at the same time leave open the possibility. Alright, I guess I should ask this, since it's something that is pretty big story right now... You and Crystal Hilton. Gives us the low down on my replacement.
Steve: What's there to say? I got jungle fever.
Crystal is great. We sort of live the same life style and actually we both come from Detroit, so it's like she sort of gets me and understands where I'm coming from.
Plus, she's always down to bang and you know that's always a perk in my book. but who said anything about replacing you, if I was trying to replace you Kelly I'd get somebody with bigger boobs. HA!
Kelly: Yeah yeah, so tell me, how does it make her feel when you tell her she was your second choice?
Steve: Awh Kelly, just because I'll eat a hot dog every now and again doesn't mean I wouldnt rather be eating filet mignon. Crystal and I are just taking it slow right now, just enjoying being together right now. But don't start talking about marriage, you'll start putting ideas in her head! Legally we cant even get married since she's still married to Todd but knowing Crystal she'd still want something because Zelda is doing it.
Kelly: Did you really just call me a hot dog? Man... to attempt to murder a man, plot to keep him from seeing his child, and then trying to divorce them and keep them apart just because you couldn't have her then he couldn't either.... that was one good hot dog, that or you just really REALLY like long meat shafts.
Steve: I was just referring to boob sizes. Don't worry sugar tits, you'll always have a place in my heart. -blows kiss
Kelly: Well.. aren't you just a sweet talker... alright Steve, lets take this in another direction. Who would you have rather faced for the world title? Xander or Rob?
Steve: Thats a tough question. On one hand I was totally rooting for Rob to retain, but then again I didn't exactly want to fight him and have to take his title away either. I guess it would have been nice to beat up Xander on a grander stage after the crap he pulled in the Harold mask earlier this year but eh Rob took care of my light work. Since I already defeated Xander last month I guess I'd want Rob for the bigger challenge.
Kelly: Wow... wait a second... is this Steve Awesome picking the noble competitor choice? The same man who tried to destroy Trent Helms' career twice? The man who fronted the Front Office, picking the possible harder choice for a challenge? Is this a new side of Steve Awesome, or a side you've hidden until now?
Steve: It's weird isn't it? It's almost as if I'm.....actually....maturing. I'm not sure if I like this Kelly. I feel weird. First I want bigger challenges so that when I overcome them due to shear talent I look like a badass, next thing you know I'm going to get cheered by the fans and handing out a pair of sunglasses to a little kid every night before my match......I might throw up.... I swear...if I end up in a Saturday morning cartoon fighting terrorists.....just shoot me
Kelly: There we go, that's the Steve we all know and love, but then again... I've seen the softer side of you... not your penis... and I know deep down you enjoy the admiration of the fans.... but lets get to the quick answer segment of the interview...
What wrestler in NCW right now would you like to face in a match for the first time, or possibly just again? No picking Rob for the world title is allowed.
Steve: First person that popped into my head would have to be Chris Gardner. This guy is doing things in nCw. Almost as good as I was when I first got here. Everybody seems to like him and even though he just lost the Honor Title to Spike Kane the other night, he only as seemed to get stronger in popularity. I'd like to put the kid in his place one of these days.
Kelly: Oh Steve... always looking to put down somebody you see as a threat... so lets see.. who do you see as your biggest threat? Who is going to be the next break out star in NCW?
Steve: I wouldn't nessicarily call him a threat to me just yet....but I got my eyes on Bob Pooler. I've herd some big things about this guy, he was a big deal somewhere else and I bet he'll be a big deal here too. That is until he runs into me.....
Kelly: On a scale from 1-10 who would you rank the job your time here in NCW so far? What one thing do you want to accomplish before your time here is finished, is there something that you feel that is left undone for you.
Steve: Without sounding too cocky, I'd give my time here a ten. I've accomplished so much, I became a champion, a member of the Hall of Fame, and a certified legend around the world because of my actions in this company. But there are a few things left for a superstar like me, for instance....winning the freaking Riot! I get so close every year only to get knocked out at the last second. Also....a personal goal for me.....to become the first ever nCw grand slam champion. I'm just two championships away
Kelly: NCW... on a scale from 1-10... grade it.
Steve: There isn't any place like nCw that currently exists right now. Anybody who is anybody has a job in this company and only the best of the best can say they are the elite. This is where warriors go to be tested, this is where old timers go to live out there last years. This where kids one day dream to end up. I give nCw a negative 6 \
Kelly: Dang.. what happened to that sweet talking honorable Steve? I missed him. Now I don't know if I should ask this... but I've done it with everybody on the roster... our Ginger vs. Mary Ann question... Kelly or Zelda?
Steve: Is both at the same time while The Ace sobs jealously from the corner an available option?
Ha Ha....I'm just kidding.
I would never let Jake watch me bang Kelly and Zelda at the same time.
Kelly: Only for two reasons, I love the idea of Ace crying, and because I guess Zelda deserves half an choice since I've gotten every one of them so far. Well Steve, thanks for your time... I still hate you, but I wish you luck in your new relationship and your pursuit for the world title, is there anything you'd like to say to the NCW fans before we go?
Steve: Not so much to the fans, they know I love'em. But to Trent Helms......*clears throat* I told you so! Have fun in a coma bitch! *cross chops* Suck it! Now where do I go for that threesome?
Kelly: Sorry Steve... I'm still married, even though that's never stopped you before, maybe you should convince EMF for a go? Thanks again, it was interesting.
Steve: I'll consider it. Take it easy A cup, I'll probably see at ringside while I'm entertaining the masses and....
-points to Kelly to finish it-
Kelly: So not doing it.
Steve nods his head anyway
Steve:"Kicking all the asses. That's exactly right."
He throws them up.

CLOSING THOUGHTS
:: Congratulations again to Rob and Zelda, a bit cheesy but we’re all happy for you.
:: Can anybody stop Knitely Bangs? This was supposed to be the moment they finally fell.... nope.
:: Speaking of the champs... I don’t know who is stalking my husband, but I will smack a bitch if they want me to. I promise.
:: Looking forward to seeing the new recruits this week on Collision. Nathan Webb and Bob Pooler are known around the world and signed over in NCW, going to be good seeing them here for the first time.
:: Mercedes Vargas reportedly was not taking her loss to Aly Sunday very well, if I know Mercy though, it’s only going to cause her to become MORE dedicated for the achievement of her goals.
:: It looks like the Starlets tag team division is starting to heat up, we have a few teams coming in looking to try and dethrone EMF.
:: Trent Helms... no voting multiple times on the poll this week! BAD TRENT!
Well fans that’s all there is for me this week, I hope you enjoyed this column and I hope you tun in for Collision for some more exciting NCW action.
Until next time...
