The following video posted on the New Championship Wrestling website was created and produced solely by the “Cold Spider” Nathan Webb and is the sole intellectual property of Nathan Webb for the express purposes of entertainment for the New Championship Wrestling fans and the general internet viewing public. While New Championship Wrestling does allow this and other videos created by Nathan Webb to be posted on the New Championship website, these video do not necessarily reflect the views and ideas of the New Championship Wrestling ownership, staff, and wrestlers (both past and current) on the roster.
The scene is set up like most Cold Cuts in the past. The video is in black and white and set up in an empty room that Nathan Webb is using. From the looks of things Nathan is not in San Diego since the place he is filming is different. Today he is wearing a set of baggy jeans, a black T-shirt, and a set of dark shades. Today he is smoking a cigar (so he doesn’t have to light several cigarettes during his vignette) and is this time sitting on a simple bar stool, trying to be as unassuming as possible. Like always the idea of these segments is not to be focused on the visual but the words coming out of his mouth.
This week he is holding a long wallet chain measuring about six feet in his non cigarette hand. It is two chains that he has modified into one. He is twirling it around his hand until it is completely wrapped around his fist at which points he unwraps it using the momentum to carry it all the way around. He repeats this process a couple times for the express purposes of showing the audience this.
(Nathan stares at the camera taking a deep drag blowing smoke into the camera lens before he begins)
Nathan: Greetings folks. I am here in Boston Mass. Broadcasting from the confines of my hotel room since I am really digging the ambiance. It’s dark and sets the mood quite well, and I am not baking me ass off here as I would if I did it in that storage locker in San Diego. Either way I am happy to be here in Boston for my second pay-per-view with New Championship Wrestling. A pay-per-view where I can end the month of July, and begin the new monthly period off with a win. A win that I hope I can use to propel myself once again into the title picture within NCW; the title picture I know I can be a perennial face in.
Before I can get into that I have to do something first this Sunday. I have to win. Not only do I have to win I have to do so convincingly against a tough and potentially dangerous opponent. I have to do so against Phreak. Not only do I have to face Phreak, something I have done before and have won, but I have to face this maniac in a hardcore match. A style some would be I would believe I am at a complete disadvantage being that I am entering Phreak’s world. Rumors of what this man has competed in would bring some to their knees trembling in fear. I am not one of those guys I refuse to be one of those guys.
I refuse to be one of those guys that are afraid, for any reason especially for that piece of **** Phreak. I refuse to be scared of a man whose only means of attacking me has only been to hit me when my back is turned. The man who people have feared felt the only way to take me on is by sucker punching me with a chair instead of coming at me face to face. A man who believes he creates fear among his enemies has shown himself to be afraid.
Are you afraid there Phreak?
Are you not only a spoiled brat when you don’t get your way but also afraid of looking me in the face when you attack?
Do you know what I am capable of doing and are afraid of getting your face beat to a pulp?
Are you afraid of the consequences Phreak?
Are you afraid since you know when that happens, when I curb stomp your punk ass, that fear of God you used to put into people would be instantly diminished?
Frankly I think it is. I think NCW knows that and I think the whole world knows that. I think you know if you face me straight up I will make your ass grass. A prophecy I will fulfill come Sunday at Picture Perfect, if not I will go down in a blaze of glory in order to do so.
But of course I was hoping to use this particular medium to respond to you instead of inflating my ego. Somehow though while you made no hesitation to make those statements the past two weeks you have been mute. Not a word has come from your direction. No reasons for your blatant assault. No threats, no guarantees, nothing.
Why so silent?
Do you think you are better than speaking out?
Do you think you are above speaking to the masses?
To much **** in your mouth that you can’t speak?
We are all waiting.
(Nathan takes another drag from his cigarette before continuing on)
Now some will say that I am heading into your world come Sunday night. I am heading into a hardcore match, my first hardcore match of my career a realm you are no stranger to…no rather you live in, you breathe in, and probably wouldn’t mind dying in.
Frankly after your actions especially, from last Sunday at Collision, when you beat me with that steel chair, when you gave me those bruises I still wear like a badge of honor, those bruises I am likely to carry into our matches, I will gladly follow you into the pits of hell. I will gladly burn if I get a chance to punch a hole in your face.
To translate the metaphor into plain English I will gladly face anything you dish out if that allows me to dish it right back and dish it out harder and more frequently.
Pain means nothing to me. Facing it is part of the business. Facing pain is allowing any weakness to leave your body. Facing it I will gladly do no matter what you throw at me.
(Nathan starts twirling his chain once again)
Nathan: Now comes in this piece of work. This is going to be my weapon of choice coming into this match. This six foot length of chain is what I am going to bring into this match and what I have every intention to use against you. I can wrap it around my fist and punch you as I please. I can wrap it around your neck and choke you out. I can also whip you like a government mule. Its an awesome and such a versatile thing and equally painful for you in my hands.
Now again I wish I could talk more but I can only talk effectively with the material I have been given and since you have been silent well I guess you like making my job easier being that public speaking is not my strongest trait.
Either way like always my actions are always louder than the words coming from my mouth. With those actions and with you a bloody mess when all is said and done I will have spoken and have spoken loudly.
Now I hope you speak, and I hope you bring whatever game you have. I want to keep this match interesting after all.
Anyway until next time.
(With that the screen goes to black)
